Hi Ladies, Can i join this thread please, have been lurking for ages but not actually posted. I have been childminding for just under 1 year but only on a perm basis since Oct, i have a 5 Y DS and DS2 who is 5 months and then a 20 months old little boy 3 days a week. It can be really hard as i dont know any childminders ( have tried the local network group but a they all know each other so well and im not the most forward person in RL) - it would be nice to chat to people

Hi PR, I'm sort of in the same sort of boat as you! I've only just starting posting here really too although was lurking a bit before too!
I've been minding just under a year too and have only just starting feeling like I'm sort of 'in there' with the childminding group! I still feel a bit weird when going as they all know each other so well but I'm starting to feel a bit better about it now that I'm starting to get to know them a bit better!

Welcome PinkRanger... just for your information, I'm not a lady ... I'm a male nanny.

Know what you mean about finding people to chat with in person... I'm quite a shy person in RL, and hate going to new groups where I don't know anyone. I'm also often the odd-one-out which does not make it any easier.
