Aww mel, it won't take forever, although it might feel like it!
I started a thread on MN on a tuesday saying I had tightenings etc after a sweep, was in and out being checked, did long walks etc and stayed at 3cm until saturday, when within an hour I went from mild pains to 'shit I can't speak'. I had gone from 3 to 7 in a few hours since last being checked and then DD2 was born an hour after that.
I firmly believe that a loooooong prelabour means a short easy labour

princessmel · 12/10/2009 19:44

My RL friend called it pre-labour today aswell.
I bloody hope it is and all this is doing something good!! dh is super worried about it being super fast. I am worried that if it's too fast I will not get any painrelief an epidural and I will be a hysterical loony woman like with ds. Dh is scared of this too

Currently having loads of movement and rippley/bubbly movements in bump and bum and vulva.

Tightenings irregular, as usual, am in sofa position. Usually gets stronger, more often later in evening.

You lot are all very lovely and it's helpful to me to type it all out. I was a bit teary on the ball earlier, saying to dh 'I don't want to be doing this, my groin hurts etc etc' Wally eh?!!!

posted before finished typing..

meant to say 'wally eh?, if I don't want to bounce then stop!!! Nobody is making me!!

Not posted yet but wanted to give you my sympathy! I had this with DS and was 6cms when the MW checked me. I then had a 2.5hr labour with DS which was very comfortable, so much so I didn't believe I was in established labour til I started pushing So all this work may pay off in the end

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 12/10/2009 21:13

would like to add to restrained rabbit's point, midwife checked me with DS2, I was 5cm and DS2 was out an hour later, very managable.

Your average bloke wouldn't put up with this, would they
Just take this time to make sure you have nicely manicured nails to stick in DH

princessmel · 12/10/2009 22:01

Well, this evenings update is that I am off to bed Am very tired and have a tummy ache. And sort of stabs in my lower right hand side. Maybe I'm being punched by baby.

I hope I either sleep well or have a baby!!!

Maybe it will come tonight as I have not set out the dc's school uniform in preparation for baby coming in night(to help my mum/sis etc). Maybe doing that the other nights was tempting fate.

AWitchForLife funny you should say that as when I was in hosp on thursday night, I did dig my nails into dh very hard whilst I was being internally examined. He had a row of marks on his hand..ooops!

JackBauWooohooohoowaaer · 13/10/2009 10:30

Hope you slept well, I rememebr those last few days as I 'slept' on the comfy sofa with snacks at hand watching trash dvds and infomercials and pretending not to count my contractions.

merryberry · 13/10/2009 10:42

is this march 2008? reminding me so much of pre-labour with ds2. blimey it dragged on. in the end i gave up in my head, just gave up with the grumps, and bingo off i went that evening. from the look of him when born, he was almost positioned but a his head wasn't lying quite right all that time. he was very much wiggling into position i reckon. anyway, wishing you luck, hoping it's sunny where you are.

Wallace · 13/10/2009 10:58

Have just read the whole thread. I will be checking back in! Good luck

Pumpkinbummum · 13/10/2009 16:00

no sign of princessmel today

princessmel · 13/10/2009 16:02

Hi everybody

I am quite fed up today!
Had tummy ache this morning and have had cx/bh on and off all day, whilst standing , not just whilst on sofa. But no regularity and not causing me pain.
Got dh to do the morning and lunchtime pick ups. I couldn't face talking to people and I also felt very uncomfy. Lucky he was able to today

Hope you're all alright.

It's very sunny here btw.
