My lovely sister is having contractions!! my parents are there and so is her DH. We are all rooting for her. Pains started about lunchtime and are getting stronger, closer and more regular, she had a show yesterday and a sweep this morning.

just spoke to her on the phone and she had to stop to have a contraction

soooooooooooooooo excited, but i can't be with her ( 200 miles away! ) but my mum will be brilliant ,as will her DH

please send all your good labour and birthing vibes to ruby

How exciting!

One of the teachers at DS's school had a baby girl last week - her DH is a teacher too and he has been going around with a grin from ear to ear all week! It's so lovely to see.

Lulumama · 02/10/2009 16:38

it is so lovely !

no more news yet, am having to restrain myself from phoning my mum and dad every 10 minutes!

i know how much waiting aroudn there can be and that that first stage can be hours, but i am so excited!!

her first labour was around 10 hours, so hoping this will be similar

Good luck Ruby!

I'm still a bit confused though. Did I go through a time warp, or do some people have 6 week pregnancies these days?
