My lovely sister is having contractions!! my parents are there and so is her DH. We are all rooting for her. Pains started about lunchtime and are getting stronger, closer and more regular, she had a show yesterday and a sweep this morning.

just spoke to her on the phone and she had to stop to have a contraction

soooooooooooooooo excited, but i can't be with her ( 200 miles away! ) but my mum will be brilliant ,as will her DH

please send all your good labour and birthing vibes to ruby

sending nice gentle relaxing rocking and knee in the sacrum vibes.

if we all blow pffffffft through our lips we may also send good cervix softening vibes.

Go Ruby! Go Ruby!

When my sister was in labour I was SICK with anxiety. It was a horrible feeling.

But all will be fine and you'll be an Aunt again, probably sometime today

MoonlightMcKenzie · 02/10/2009 18:46

What's sjaking? Is it a special doula move?

FabBakerGirlIsSURVIVED · 02/10/2009 18:48

lulu, you have my upmost sympathy, I think its worse when you're further away

MoonlightMcKenzie · 02/10/2009 18:55

LOL, - It's lovely to see this thread tbh.

She's well established isn't she and sounds like she's don't brilliantly to have got so far before even going in. Bet she's managing just fine and it can't possibly be much longer.

Lulumama · 02/10/2009 19:00

4 cm !!!!!!

so that's great, as getting to 3cm can be longer and harder than getting from 3 - 10!

ohmigod!!

differentWitch · 02/10/2009 19:02
