Am 40+6 today. Have had a sweep this afternoon and am 2 cm dilated, 50% effaced, waters bulging. Have had irregular contractions since sweep but are in back/bump and groin now and every 8 minutes.

Do you think the contractions could just have been set off by sweep and will result in nothing?

Just passing a bit of time really as I am getting a bit anxious, and would love to hear of other experiences.

Third baby and lost my plug last week.

Oh yes, baby will be here before 6 tomorrow morning i would think.

fabulous good luck and sit ona towel on the way there and wear a long top so you dont look like you have pissed yourself - also will save you wetting upholstery in car

well I am home! Apparently it was the hind waters and they aren't worried about those? But I have soaked through a pad, my pants and trackie bottoms just on a 15 min journey home!

Least the baby was monitored and all was well!

nothing! Had the best night sleep Ive had in ages. Guess she's just too comfortable in there!

Good to get some proper sleep before everything kicks off properly anyway
