I can't believe this may be a full moon baby! I've had strong back feelings going on all afternoon, then in the evening they moved to the front and now its period ouchy and regular...

here

Have fun!

Lulumama · 16/01/2009 18:04

chin up chuck! a good cry is always helpful.. have a bath and keep us posted if you can x

JustKeepSwimming · 16/01/2009 18:05

I don't know if this is true at all but it might help...

imagine that the cx you've been having all day (week?) are the ones thinning the cervix and now you are having ones that are dilating the cervix.
In that case, it may be all systems go once you stand up from the bath!

(may be total bollocks of course!)

hkz · 16/01/2009 18:07

Ohh, Flf, sorry you are knackered, its horrible missing DD and frustrating things are not moving along as quickly as you'd like. Hope you have a lovely relaxing bath and emerge full of energy and strong/close together contractions. Just focus on that little baby that's going to be with you very soon

BabyStarlightsMum · 16/01/2009 18:07

I'm not going to bed tonight am I ~?

JustKeepSwimming · 16/01/2009 18:17

Surely somebody should be knitting by now?
(not me i can't knit)

I can pass round a cup of tea to anyone who wants one - DH making them

BabyStarlightsMum · 16/01/2009 18:20

I'll have one. I can't knit either

TBH I found MNing in early labour quite helpful and distracting.

Lotster · 16/01/2009 18:21

Just seen this having been out all day, keep those snacks coming FLF and keep your energy up won't you?

Maybe turn down the lights and light a few candles, having things calm and quiet can help to keep those contractions coming...

xx

Lulumama · 16/01/2009 18:58

I will do some darning if that helps

LenniEd · 16/01/2009 19:01

FLF!! Just saw this Where have I been? How exciting!

come on DS lets have a night of cluster feeding so I get to keep the laptop off DH...

BabyStarlightsMum · 16/01/2009 19:08

She's bin in the bath for an hour . Hope she's nice and relaxed......

Lulu, Since we're sitting here in the dark whispering, I thought I'd tell you that I've been accepted (provided they can raise the funding) by my local NCT to begin the antenatal training .

surprisenumber3 · 16/01/2009 19:10

oooh exciting! Good luck FLF (hugs)

LaTrucha · 16/01/2009 19:11

Oooo Good luck! I hope things get going in earnest soon. Hope you get your VBAC too!

Lulumama · 16/01/2009 19:13

that is fantastic, good for you ! you will be brilliant x

fourlittlefeet · 16/01/2009 19:17

thanks guys... regular ctx every 5 mins throughout bath time (DP timed them with his foot, whilst squeezing my hand, what a love). He is now preparing anja potatoes whilst I go and try and relax and listen to my birthing preparation cd.... will keep you all updated, feel that some of the crisis is over . It was awful just thinking I'd been through 12 hours of that and it was another falsie.

NimChimpsky · 16/01/2009 19:32

Oh flf, tis dragging, non?

I'm keeping an eye on you tonight. Early labour can be a long and confusing process.

Tis SOH btw. Let's be having a baby then.

JustKeepSwimming · 16/01/2009 19:33

Lulu, I've flounced. Badly. And the namechange hasn't worked because I keep revealing myself (oo er).

They make me broody too JKS, I'd love another one but no go.

Oh this is more exciting than the fact that QI is on tonight.
