I can't believe this may be a full moon baby! I've had strong back feelings going on all afternoon, then in the evening they moved to the front and now its period ouchy and regular...

4LF - that is great news, hope all goes well and you have a safe delivery today

Treedelivery - if you're still lurking, good luck to you too!

rrrayray · 16/01/2009 11:13

Gooooooooooooooo FLF xxxxxx

fourlittlefeet · 16/01/2009 11:18

still here, though not sure how long... not sure whether to have a bath or if that'll slow things down.. tens getting to the end of its helpfulness! I'm going to time them then make a decision. I didn't labour with DD, so am thinking it won't be quite as quick as for you real second timers

I'm thinking that if you saying a Tens is running out of giving you any relief, then i DOUBT a bath is going to slow things down hunny bunch! [Grin]

Am hoping to hear of little FLF when i'm back from my monitoring, infact i'm sure while i'm bored as hell, abandoned on the machine for probarly hours, i'll be DREAMING of being in labour! Swap???

fourlittlefeet · 16/01/2009 11:26

lol ray - good luck with your monitoring and labour vibes your way.

they are every 4 mins lasting 40 secs, so have a bit longer to go I think, need to last a minute and 3 in 10

a friend of mine was in labour - she went into hospital where a MW patted her face and said "you don't have the face of someone who is in proper labour - go home and have a bath". She got into the bath at home and then couldn't get out again because of the pains - the ambulance had to come for her!

fourlittlefeet · 16/01/2009 11:36

lol thumb! i'm risking getting in it here, but do have DP for back up! what a cheeky midwife!

GO FLF! Am sooooooo ! Try burning some clary sage on an oil burner or adding a few drops to a bowl of steaming water and inhaling..meant to be natural gas and air! (Then let me know if it works!)

Lulumama · 16/01/2009 11:47

have a bath if you feel like it but you might find taking the TENS off really ramps it up a notch and you will realise how much relief you are getting

if you can still post on MN, might not be established labour, when you need to go into your other world, close your eyes and shut everyone and everything out, it is usually a good indication things are progressing.

fab !!

charleymouse · 16/01/2009 11:54

FLF good luck, hope it is all going well.

treedelivery · 16/01/2009 12:15

Yay Moose!!!!

I really hope you're ok and doing your thing and getting in the groove.

Nothing here, doing the 2nd time labour thing where you niggle niggle niggle then a bomb goes off and your pushing. Urgh!

fourlittlefeet · 16/01/2009 12:19

bath seemed to slow things down a little, so back on birth ball to see if I can get things rolling. Thanks lulu, will keep that in mind . cracking open the clary sage..

OP posts:
thumbwitch · 16/01/2009 12:27

Lulumama · 16/01/2009 12:28

sounds positive, i suggest you step away from MN (surely not!!) and concentrate on labour..
are you a VBAC?

fourlittlefeet · 16/01/2009 12:28

yes I am vbac

treedelivery · 16/01/2009 12:31

Moose? I meant FLF? Had Moose on brain too.

Get that tens back on girl.

They do nip don't they!!??

Lulumama · 16/01/2009 12:37

if you are VBAC, with the best will in the world, stay away from the labour ward as longs as you can , as long as you feel normal. ie. no pain between ctx, no racing pulse, or feeling unwell...

v v excited for you !

fourlittlefeet · 16/01/2009 12:40

does anyone know if I can take cocodomol 30/500 or does it have to be paracetamol. and if so... how much/how often! tia [ouchy face]

OP posts:
elkiedee · 16/01/2009 13:18

Good luck FLF

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 16/01/2009 13:30

iirc NO don't take cocodamol as the codine may will still be in the babies system when born.
