I can't believe this may be a full moon baby! I've had strong back feelings going on all afternoon, then in the evening they moved to the front and now its period ouchy and regular...

I think so.... goes off to count....over 50 on the EDD thread, but I'd say 20 to 30 posters.

Right so just when I thought I was going to have a night off, the contractions have just restarted. Had a really ouchy one followed by an evacuation . grrr. thought after last night it would give it a rest!

If you establish and niggle and labour overnight can I not go to work tomorrow?

fourlittlefeet · 11/01/2009 21:35

Hey, I thought we were doing this together! What has happened to all your niggles?

OP posts:
treedelivery · 11/01/2009 21:41

Think bubbs is holding out till..I dunno...St Valentines? St Patricks? Still niggling, still wired up like national grid to tens, still pregnant....

SHe had jolly well better not make me do these days at work then turn up directly after. Grrrr!

treedelivery · 11/01/2009 22:14

So whatcha doing whatchadoing whatchadoing? Have you put childcare on amber alert?

thumbwitch · 12/01/2009 01:08

4LF - where are you? did it happen, have you gone into hospital (spurious qus cos if you have you can't answer!)

Good luck anyway - report back when you can.

treedelivery · 12/01/2009 02:38

Well, I may have a baby. May not also. Got very nasty unpleasant back ache which [I dunno if I've mentioned this on the antenatal thread or not] I had none of this with dd1!!

Feel like body is undecided. wonder if yours has made a decision flf?

Dunno if should go to bed and deny everything or egg them on with ball bouncing etc. Just sooooo tired!

fourlittlefeet · 12/01/2009 08:50

Morning . Went to bed and ignored all pains. told baby I was not interested tonight as it was too exhausting! Had the customary 1,2 and 3.30 painful contractions (cue peek at clock, think to self 'this malarky again', go back to sleep).

Sounds like you are going through the same...surely, surely we must be close!! I've decided that until I get regular period style cramps, a show or some breaking waters, all other contractions will be ignored... as long as bubs is still moving regularly that is! Hope you got some sleep Tree!

Wise words flf. Think my bubbs was just trying to gatecrash your thread

We're close but dunno what to....

fourlittlefeet · 12/01/2009 09:21

do you think a swim might do it? think I'm going to try that today. can't hurt! last time I did my first antenatal swim at 37 weeks.. what a shock! I took a stroke and didn't move in the water. was laughing so hard I nearly sank! Sorry I wasn't there for you last night!

Mood I was in your not sorry at all mate

Idea of swim makes me shudder [what and take my tens off?] idea of clotted cream rice pudding under duvet more me today. Do a few lengths for me and then lend me some feel good endorphins. Ta x

Renni · 12/01/2009 10:03

Hi flf. sounds like it turned out to be a rough one. hope it comes soon. swim sounds like a good idea to me.

fourlittlefeet · 12/01/2009 10:38

thanks Renni... heres hoping something happens soon

if you want you could get some raspberry leaf tea - see my blog for what it did for me - although it didn't bring labour on for me, it has been thought/known to for others.
Good luck!

treedelivery · 12/01/2009 13:23

I've read that before thumb, when 1st inventing the Jan antenatal thread cocktail of choice - crushed fresh pinaple juice with chilled raspberry leaf tea, fragranced with clarysage, and topped off with an umberella and a sparkler.

Am having mine intravenously!

thumbwitch · 12/01/2009 13:26
  • well, it did wonders for my stage 2, I have to say! hope it achieves something for you (glad to see there's no castor oil in there!)
fourlittlefeet · 12/01/2009 13:32

mmm. RLT. I thought you could start at 34 weeks, and promptly was in for monitoring as I had such strong BH! Have had a pot of it this morning....will see when labour happens whether I have the same happy experience as you thumb!

UPDATE!!!
C'mon, what's going on?

treedelivery · 12/01/2009 22:50

I've had a pizza, flf has had quiche, and moose is bouncing on the ball. Everyone else is off to bed.

Babies? What babies? What do you mean? Oh this, the bump? Severe wind I reckon.

thumbwitch · 12/01/2009 23:08

pmsl - I hope it happens soon for you!
