Orgasm post birth?

I had a forceps delivery with episiotomy. Currently 8 days PP and felt ok to masturbate. Did it twice but orgasms very weak - like 3/10. Please tell me this is temporary. Is this my pelvic floor weakness? Please help!

Share your stories people! This is a prime example of why it makes no difference if the sex board is in active or not.

I agree.

See a gyno if you are worried. 8 days pp is ridiculous. Let your body heal.

It took me a long time to be able to orgasm properly again, like months and months if i remember correctly.

It wasn't painful just a bit lack lustre.

The women in this thread making comments about another woman enjoying her own fucking body are disgraceful. What made you all decide to post here in such a nasty way? I'm interested to know what you get out of doing this to someone?

Some of these responses are stressing me out! i gave birth 17 months ago and haven't had an orgasm since then - I physically can't. Actually, I stopped being able to orgasm in my 3rd trimester. In my first and second trimester I was mega horny and having them several times a week.

I assumed the lack of orgasms now was just due to breastfeeding hormones. Only recently has my sex drive started to return and it's coincided with my DD eating more solids and taking less milk.

Is this not normal, then? now im wondering if there's physical damage from the birth but I only had a 2nd degree tear.

17 months seems a long time to wait and see, but if your libido is returning then maybe it is related to bf hormones.
I had low thyroid issues after my third child, also common, and it caused the same problem, but that resolved with medication. So if things don't improve I wouldn't ignore it, personally.
Is your pelvic floor generally okay?

I’d argue that an orgasm is beneficial at this point. It increases blood flow to the area which aids healing. Contractions of pelvic muscles help the uterus to shrink. Oxytocin is released to calm and help with bonding.

Cakes and haircuts aren’t going to improve your uterus tone are they.

This!!! Nothing wrong with a bit of personal time any time you're feeling up to it. I had a forceps delivery and episiotomy. Took around 4 weeks for things to start feeling normal again. Sensation did definitely come back

@ArcticSkewer thanks so much for responding. I think my pelvic floor is fine, I've never had any issues with unexpected weeing even immediately after the birth. That said, I'm pretty lazy when it comes to kegels so I'll get back to doing them and then see how I go for a couple of months. That might help.

YOU needed to give YOUR body time to heal after YOUR birth.
