Sex 9 days after baby!!?

Oh Iv done something stupid. C section 9 days ago, bleeding almost stopped. Had sex today and felt fine apart from I started bleeding extremely heavy during and after. So much so it was all over the bed 😩.

It's calmed down now but still bright red.

I feel like a fecking idiot. 😪😪

It's now stopped and pale pink

Good god, there a very good reason why no sex for 6 weeks op, very high risk of haemorrhage and infection.
Goodness knows how it even crossed your mind post-CS, I'd have been far too sore 😳

You will have internal stitches and bright red blood doesn't sound ideal- I would get checked out. Even with a vaginal birth 9 days isn't a good idea, but with a c-section you are still healing. Astonished you even felt like shagging though, i was in a lot of pain for ages after mine.

Maybe you should get checked out at a&e or even call your midwife op? Just to be safe?

Well you lasted longer than me after my c section , I managed to wait 7 days...

However the bleeding is slightly worrying, it might just be that you've "shaken" things up a bit when it's quite raw still but if it does start again I would phone for advice. That didn't happen with me.

I feel okay in myself, I don't know what happened! I'm not exactly looking my finest right now!

If it has stopped and you are not in pain I would just keep an eye out.

I believe there is a risk of infection because the cervix is still open for a few weeks post birth. Did you go into labour?

I'm sure you'll be fine - your foof technically hasn't had the 'trauma' of giving birth if you had a c-section

Wow, OP, I am 9 weeks on and just reviving my sex life! It's a good idea to check with your community midwife about the bleeding though.

Well I would say go and get checked out. I had no feeling in my scar but after about 10 days I had an internal abcess which resulted in the scar partially re opening and pus spewing everywhere. Followed by two weeks of antibiotics so had to stop breastfeeding and four weeks of daily visits from HV to pack the hole.

I am not trying to scare you but as so many nerves have been cut the fact that you are in some pain and on antibiotics and then had sex and bleeding, I would be concerned!
