...and to top it all off, pampers website have just sent me an email about my "newborn"

tetty at the pampers e-mail! I'm a bit fiery in temper tonight so dh has banished me to the bath and banned from doing anymore housework Really feel a need to get it all sorted tonight.

Have been feeling quite crampy on and off for the last hr or so, but feeling pessimistic as hasn't led to anything over the last few wks. How lovely it would be to be woken in the night with regular contractions!

Tetty, I'm with you! I've been a bit bored today (DD @ nursery, DH @ work). Now DH home I'm being so ratty with him which is a real shame cos he's not done anything wrong.

Reflexology went well - the practitioner seems to think that the reflexes in my feet suggest I won't be too long. How long tho, that's the question!!

I've been interested in the chat about wrong due dates. I have an irregular cycle and couldn't say when my last period was when asked. They originally gave me a date of 26th which was changed to 18th at first scan. I hope its not the 26th - that's aaaages.

claire - I love reflexology too, I've had 3 sessions in the last 10 days! Going to book myself in for tomorrow too

So nothing came of the cramps which were getting quite painful, and were still going after the bath But nothing since 11pm. I think they say it's 48hrs after a sweep it can have an effect on labour though? Maybe I was beginning to efface

Going to book in with MW for 40+10 and I'll have another sweep then (if still pg...surely not!) 40+4 today, the longest I've been pg for!

Boys have gone out for the morning with PIL so I AM SOOOOO BORED, not used to having nothing to do! Hope someone's having some progress?!

Well, had sweep 9am this morning... 1cm dilated and 50% effaced according to MW. She spent a fair amount of time doing it and said she has a reasonable success rate with them.
So... fingers crossed!....then the student had a go too!
I didn't mind as they have to learn sometime I suppose and I did consent to it. Hoping all the extra pulling and dragging might get things moving!
Not even a niggle yet but my episi scar is aching!

Apparently the hospital will call me on 40+10 and offer me an induction but Ive already told the MW I don't want one. Still not at panic stations yet, only day 5

Took DD1 to soft play this morning and had a nice lunch with her and my husband. She is now having a (rare) afternoon nap so I am going to put my feet up for a while.

Ooooh lets hope yours works tetty! TMI alert have started getting a bloody show only ever so slightly , but I've never been so pleased Lots of on/off cramps so must be doing something. Thinking this is definitely the weekend !!

Not looking hopeful here for tonight. Think I just need a slight push over the edge, so having the works - hot curry, bouncing on ball, sex and then wake to long walk and reflexology in the morning . I wonder who's going to be 1st?!! These babies do have to come out sometime!

Sounds like you had a nice relaxing day blanche I'm in the West Midlands. Can't believe I'm 40+5 tomorrow and cannot believe how time consuming being overdue date is!!

Bouncing ball.. guess I'll have to blow that up. Have to say, used hospital ball with my first at 40 + 5 when I was in there for 8 hours before I was induced and it did nothing. Surely something must work?

I'm impressed by your ability to even consider sex . I might get there but at the mo I cant think of anything worse. Of course this may have something to do with persuading hubby to do it last time because my waters had broken but labour had not started yet. I think we r both still scarred for life - not nice .

Hey ladies I'm now 40+3 and no sign of baby yet. Backache and random cramps but no real action yet. Had midwife today and booked for induction a week Sunday. Hoping baby is out long before then! Had curry tonight and might jump DH. Good luck all!

40+5 ! So only managed the curry last night...couldn't quite bring myself to...!! I suddenly thought if it works I'm just too tired to have a baby tonight, so left it !

I have a few really busy days at the beginning of the week too, with birthdays and a group I really wanted to attend (no doubt she'll come then surely?!!)

Well ladies, I'm 40+6 this morning! Its officially 24 hours since I had the stretch and sweep and I haven't even had a twinge.

I'm gonna get back on the ball this morning and bounce, but I don't hold out much hope.

I feel completely helpless - I just wish there was something I could do. DH is asking what we should be doing today and I have no idea - I thought last weekend that we would have a baby by now so we left the weekend clear.

God this is going to be a long weekend....

Reflexology and lots of walking, accompanied with lots of random cramps and pressure. But again has all subsided. I keep getting really hopeful each evening that tonight will be the night I'm woken up with contractions, and then feel very disappointed each morning So who knows...will prob still be pg mon for 41wks!

Nice name too!

Twinges started about 11pm but had some paracetamol and went to sleep. Woke at 2 with show. Got to hospital just b4 3 as had quick labour last time. Put tens on about 3.30 when 3cm, got the g and a about 4.40 bouncing on ball and she was here by half 5 with me leaning over headboard. Never made it too pool. Much quicker pushing than last time tho had borderline 3rd degree tear that required stitching in theatre so need to stay in overnight.

Forgot how sore it was tho! Feeding well. Gutted about tear as head was born slowly. Just think it was speed of it all.

Big sister very impressed but not very gentle!

I had no twinges before so here's hoping you all go into labour tonight. I need to get my head down but still too excited!

I'm so moody at the moment and having a go at everyone I meet (strangers included). Well, rude to my standards as I'm normally rather polite and gentle. It's shocking DH and DS keeps asking me what's the matter and kissing me, bless! I didn't get this cross till I was overdue last time.

Surely next baby will be along very soon? Will check tomorrow.

Had to go in to be monitored this afternoon as baby not moving much yesterday or this morning. All fine tho - crafty baby has done nothing but jump about all night after freaking me out this morning.

One down. Lets hope there's more good news soon :)
