Whoop whoop! Must have been a boost for her too

dappledsunshine · 16/07/2021 22:12

Amazing teen! What an achievement for her, a step in the right direction for sure Smile

Comfysofa78 · 20/07/2021 09:33

Has anyone seen this? Advert is popping up on Facebook and smacks of the same tactics, although not £5k. Is this the start of lots of people feeding off our desperation or are these the same people trying another approach for the ones who can’t afford £5k?

Well, at least it is clear about the cost, what it includes etc.
Unusual list of logos at the end?
She doesn't seem to state she has any actual qualifications though...

Since Samantha Robins and her highly questionable business practices are now under the microscope, it appears she has roped in a young friend to be the public face on these sales videos. Inexperienced & likely unqualified, reading from Samantha’s script, aiding and abetting to syphon large amounts of cash from desperate, vulnerable parents.

‘Your Child Freedom Formula’ website might still be down but Samantha & Martin Robins are still stuffing their bank accounts with cash, using other Facebook pages such as ‘Kids Anxiety Disorder Solutions’ to serve adverts from.

They’re narcissistic and greedy enough to believe that normal ethics plus any regulations in place to safeguard vulnerable families & children don’t apply to them.

If anyone is thinking of trying these programs out of desperation, I really hope they find these threads beforehand and do a bit of research.

SwanShaped · 20/07/2021 22:18

Aat is a bookkeeping course. Not sure why that’s relevant to anxiety. And the police one! Why?!

DoubleTweenQueen · 21/07/2021 10:53

@Twoandtwois6 Just swung by to see what was happening, and wanted to add my support for your appalling situation Flowers
I don't see how they can possibly claim for defamation if you are reviewing and dealing with them through your own direct negative experience. All information in the public domain (and in addition what you have been privy too) is damning enough!

There are a number of agencies looking into these people - I think @GoodButNaughty may have already reported them to CQC?

Please do not feel intimidated by these dreadful people. Right, and a great wealth of information, is on your side.

@TeenMinusTests That's great news re your DD dealing unexpectedly well with an unpredictable situation - I hope it's given her a great deal of confidence she can build on - facing her fears and winning is what it's all about! They can surprise you, can't they! I'm so proud of her (on your behalf!). Small but mighty steps Star

Comfysofa78 · 22/07/2021 19:22

Has anyone got an email from anxiety disorder recovery in the last couple of days? It seems that my username is being used in the message text…..not sure why.

SwanShaped · 22/07/2021 19:57

How have they got your username? You mean your mumsnet one?

Comfysofa78 · 22/07/2021 20:23

Yes, this came out where Sam refers to people getting off their comfy sofa’s.
I feel important, today mentioned in a vlog, tomorrow who knows 😂😂

SwanShaped · 23/07/2021 07:00

I’m sorry I couldn’t watch it! I got a minute or two in and then got too wound up.

InspectorHastings · 23/07/2021 08:47

It's like one big coded message to you @Comfysofa78 I lost track of how many times she said it!

Comfysofa78 · 23/07/2021 08:56

I know, funny isn’t it? 😂😂

I’d like to think I was very fair in my posts. The only thing I said that was slightly negative was calling out junglemum on her negativity. Maybe it was Sam after all.

I work in professional services and we would always use feedback to improve the customer experience. This doesn’t seem to be happening here, more like a vendetta that none of us can really understand 😂. Anyone get to the bottom of ‘flappy ears’ yet?

SwanShaped · 23/07/2021 10:30

Just watched the last bit of it. She does say comfy sofa a lot! I’m sure junglemum was Sam

DoubleTweenQueen · 23/07/2021 16:28

Deluded! Over-emphasising, over-gesturing, very little content.
I like the phrase 'BIG qualifications' - as opposed to 'zero qualifications' :D

DoubleTweenQueen · 23/07/2021 16:35

She does make the most of the words 'comfy sofa' - I wonder if she could cleverly shoehorn anyone else's username not-so-subtly in the nextt vid? :D

Comfysofa78 · 23/07/2021 16:49

I think perhaps mine was the only username that it was easy to put into conversation. Perhaps a challenge?

Psuedoshoes · 23/07/2021 17:26

Hi all, I've not been on here for a while - life has been manically hectic! But catching up of the thread - the 'comfy sofa' video I find highly disconcerting, and that's not just because of the creepy 'comfy sofa' username-drops! Does she think she's being intimidating? Odd at best!

Hope everyone and DCs are doing OK 😁

DoubleTweenQueen · 23/07/2021 19:51

@Psuedoshoes Not doing too badly, thanks x dd2 had a friend over today, and she's been invited to go swimming! Really positive for her
Dd1 still struggling with eating, and rock-bottom confidence/social anxiety, but she is also having friends over tomorrow afternoon, which has lifted her mood, and keeping her busy with projects.
Think it being cooler will help as she will get better sleep, which always helps a bit. She just needs to get to a healthy weight, as being underweight is preventing her doing much, so she feels as dull as ditch-water - bit if a catch-22. I find it really difficult to help her when she falls apart, but doing our best :)

TeenMinusTests · 24/07/2021 08:42

Bad news: DH has today gone on holiday alone as DD is too anxious to cope with the travel and sleeping in a different bed (somewhere we have been loads of times before).

Good news: She had an initial CBT assessment. The therapist is really nice and has dealt with adopted children before. One thing she said which I'm not sure whether I had heard before or not:

  • the instinct bit is over stimulated (well we knew that bit)
  • so the logical brain looks around to try to work out what DD is panicking about. it can't see anything obvious so it starts making up scenarios to explain the anxiety.

They'll use a metaphor in a video next about swans gliding serenely whilst paddling furiously underneath. Grin

DoubleTweenQueen · 24/07/2021 09:12

@TeenMinusTests Flowers

SwanShaped · 24/07/2021 09:20

Oh teen that sounds hard. That’s a good way of putting it about the logical brain looking for something to explain the feeling.

I don’t get the emails or fb ads. I used a fake email to watch the intro video. So some random person out there is probably now getting emails from Sam and wondering why! Do let me know if swans start getting mentioned.

TeenMinusTests · 24/07/2021 18:49

This lady has produced a video directly aimed at children on anxiety. I haven't watched it myself but her talks for adults are v.good in my opinion.
