That sounds super hard double and inspector. My kids are only little but I get overwhelmed with waves of panic sometimes about what they’ll have to face when they’re older. I just look at their little faces and innocence about finding a feather and could just cry. Imagine if all it took to make you happy was a feather. The devastation you must feel now that that simplicity has gone, must be a heavy load to bear.

I agree, with you inspector. The narrative that only good mums use YCFF and others don’t is deeply offensive. And so is the fact that anyone who questions it is called a hater. I question everything to do with my kids and the care they receive from professionals.

Thanks for that Teen - I've just bought a ticket Smile

TeenMinusTests · 25/06/2021 17:21

I'll see you there. Smile
It's a lot cheaper than £5.5k anyway so nothing much to lose if you disagree or are doing it all already.

Psuedoshoes · 25/06/2021 20:16

It sure is - £4.49k cheaper to be precise Grin

£5.49k cheaper! You lost £1k there!

dappledsunshine · 25/06/2021 20:45

Thanks inspector and double

Thanks for that teen I'm going to resister too

BroccoliRob · 25/06/2021 20:59

@InspectorHastings

Just popping on to say hello I'm a lurker. Thank you so much for your well argued points. I am desperate and exhausted, lacking in emotional energy for the debate, and really appreciate you sticking up for vulnerable people, who should not be subjected to a hard sell.
Ditto Wink

Have you all read this (the wording seems new to me):

Still spelling CAMHS wrong in the first part, same as the YCFF website and several trustpilot reviews.

SwanShaped · 25/06/2021 21:41

She just needs to bloody stop!!

Psuedoshoes · 25/06/2021 21:47

I'm tempted to contact DBS and make sure they all have them. They're putting themselves in charge of kids mental health so they should have them. Not to mention they're mandatory...

It’d be worth looking into.

AlwaysNeedCoffee · 26/06/2021 11:43

Another lurker here. Have been following the threads. Just looked at the KidsAnxietyDisorders.com link and feel so upset that they claim to magically cure really serious mental health problems without explaining how. If they have found a cure why keep it secret?

Has anyone joined the free webinar out of interest?

GoodButNaughty · 26/06/2021 15:03

Yes I have. And you can watch the free webinar by giving a false email address; it’s uncomfortable to watch though...

That's a good idea about the email address. I might watch it when I feel resilient. After all, I am a prime candidate - been through 'CAHMS', medication etc and it hasn't worked.

Hi coffee they seemed to have added in anorexia to the mix. Apparently can cure anorexia in 8 weeks.

SwanShaped · 26/06/2021 20:50

I’ve just watched it. There are elements in it where I feel like if you were susceptible, she would be able to draw you in. She does describe very well, the emotions that a parent might feel having a child with anxiety. The desperation, sadness, hopelessness. But then she goes on to say that they are the only organisation in the UK who can cure your child. In 8 weeks.

SwanShaped · 26/06/2021 20:57

Key point of webinar are:
Anxiety is not a mental disorder.
It can be cured in 8 weeks, including anorexia, Pure O, hair pulling, skin picking, bulminia (her spelling and pronunciation) and lots of others.
Anxiety is a physiological disorder.
Doctors, meds, therapy and especially group therapy make anxiety worse.

This is all done through zoom sessions, multiple a day. With coaches and mentors. You get access to an online portal. You can’t find our pricing or how it works until you’ve had a consultation with her.

SwanShaped · 26/06/2021 21:01

And all of this ‘not a mental disorder’ stuff, only relates to anxiety. Depression, schizophrenia, psychosis, are mental disorders. According to Sam.

SwanShaped · 26/06/2021 21:03

Also, there was a bit about anorexia being a fear of swallowing or something. I wasn’t quite sure what she meant. But apparently she cured a girl of anorexia in 5 weeks.

Psuedoshoes · 26/06/2021 23:25

It does beg the question; how can something that is supposedly "physiological" be "cured" by coaching?

To be honest, even if it COULD, I don't think I could ever get past the crass review bragging about turning over £100k. It points to the direction of where the priorities fully lie, imo.

SwanShaped · 27/06/2021 08:34

That is an excellent question!

GoodButNaughty · 27/06/2021 09:11

You may have noticed I’m keeping my posts deliberately short and factual - this is to protect my own wellbeing, which was quite adversely impacted by being involved (entirely of my own volition) in this and previous thread

Just read this:

Placebo is the word that stands out for me...

SwanShaped · 27/06/2021 11:10

Wow that’s a really interesting article good. Also says you can possibly get money back if you buy with a credit card and then don’t like it. Not guaranteed tho. It accurately describes Sam’s business
