Yeah it is very rambling. I was thinking the other day about how this is all legal. Still can’t get my head round it.

GoodButNaughty · 30/07/2021 20:29

Just come across this:

www.peakyparent.com/copy-of-faq-s

Looks like they’ve partnered with a US organisation now... ConfusedAngry

SwanShaped · 30/07/2021 22:30

Fucking hell!!! So all that bullshit that she wrote about safeguarding was a lie. She’s just set up another company and is doing the same. Some of those videos I recognise from YCFF.

SwanShaped · 30/07/2021 22:41

Also, how did you find it? I just looked up the address on the website on companies house. Over 13,000 companies have been registered there. Why would this be?

Psuedoshoes · 30/07/2021 22:47

And she STILL doesn't understand that apostrophes are not used in the plural!! Ffs, Sam!!

Comfysofa78 · 30/07/2021 22:56

The companies house thing could either be a shared office that allow use of their address for registration (not actual office space required), an accountants address or a broker type company that support in registering new companies. I thought the later should be temporary but maybe not.

GoodButNaughty · 31/07/2021 06:39

Interestingly I found it as a kids anxiety disorders advert on Facebook popped up on my feed and one of the comments posted linked to that site! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing... I’ve screenshot every comment on the thread for my ‘research file’ Wink

SwanShaped · 31/07/2021 07:40

I naively thought she might pack it in.

I would find it hard to believe that they have partnered with anyone, it looks to me like an attempt to be transient and somewhat unbranded.

That way when the hammer falls on one website, domain, Facebook page or what have you, they can reappear elsewhere quite easily with a new generic name without having lost much. Rinse and repeat.

I wonder why they removed the mention of now having a "NHS paediatric nurse" called Darren on the team - it was displayed on their new website quite proudly earlier in the week, along with text attempting to look like the NHS logo. Incredibly shady.

So Sam has founded:

Anxiety Free You
Shed Anxiety
Clovelly Calm (not sure what this is as it said server wasn’t secure)
Your Child Freedom Formula
Kaktus Kids (part of others)
Peaky Parents

All in the last few years. Any others?

SwanShaped · 01/08/2021 21:41

That NHS logo isn’t real.

SwanShaped · 01/08/2021 21:44

Also, the explanation for why they need a US IP address just sounds dodgy. I think you’re right concerned

SwanShaped · 01/08/2021 21:50

Kids Anxiety Disorder Solutions is another. I’m listing them so they come up in people’s searches.

All in the space of 2 years as well, quite some going. Certainly not spread out over 17+ years as one of her her completely fictional linkedin profile would like you to believe uk.linkedin.com/in/samantha-robins-clovelly-calm

If you're confident in your ability and have unfaltering belief in the service you offer, why go to great lengths to completely lie about your experience & skills?

If someone is thinking of joining her scheme & ends up on her linkedin profile after Googling her name, they might just believe it and think she's genuine. If they then hand over a large chunk of cash, isn't that obtaining money by deception or otherwise fraudulent?

SwanShaped · 03/08/2021 16:42

Yeah it’s really weird to have set up so many in such a short period.

DoubleTweenQueen · 04/08/2021 21:40

Still getting KADS pop-ups on FB, with plenty of comments - fakes or actual interested customers? Difficult to tell. Openly linking to Peakyparents/KactusKids website.

Hope the authorities are following.

DoubleTweenQueen · 04/08/2021 21:53

www.peakyparent.com/faq-s

It doesn’t seem to be a registered company involved?

Comfysofa78 · 05/08/2021 08:27

It’s seems to me that they are not interested in building a brand that people can build trust in and then go by word of mouth. With so many names out there it’s difficult to work that way. This only makes sense if they are putting back ups in place for when one gets a bad reputation or shut down.
Certainly not helping in gaining my trust.

Has anyone looked at the serenity method? Still not sure if they are linked too.

DoubleTweenQueen · 05/08/2021 08:59

@Comfysofa78 Yes, it all seems very ad-hoc and fly-by-night. And the FAQS state the IP being based in US now - is that a jurisdiction thing do you think?

Comfysofa78 · 05/08/2021 09:10

Possibly, I think some countries filter websites from other countries so having lots of IP addresses reaches more people.
Also it is a justification for why the website is only a year old rather than the 10 years claimed in the jargon.

ConcernedObserver · 05/08/2021 10:24

The 'IP address'. Someone left a bad review on the Your Child Freedom Formula Facebook page, they wanted their money back and accused Sam of being a scammer. She obviously thought she had been treated terribly and was angry, venting. This person mentioned the IP address as being American and asked if it meant YCFF wasn't a British company.

Usually Sam just deletes negative comments, but you can't delete Facebook reviews, so she removed the entire review section from the YCFF Facebook page instead. Within a couple of days she set up a Trustpilot account and asked those around her to leave glowing reviews.

(In practice a website's IP address being "in the US" is completely standard and doesn't mean a thing, it isn't really something that Sam needed to explain. Her reaction and reply was comically over the top but not at all surprising, since you're really not allowed to question any aspect of her operations whatsoever)

DoubleTweenQueen · 05/08/2021 10:30

I was just wondering if it meant the UK authorities - CQC, Trading Standards etc wouldn’t be able to act, as no tangible UK presence?

DoubleTweenQueen · 05/08/2021 10:52

I’m sure it’s just me not understanding how it all works.

I would love for there to actually be ‘an answer’ - I have two girls who would certainly benefit :( It’s frustrating not really being able to get any meaningful insight. I would not want to open myself to a call back as where I am at the moment with DD1 is pretty vulnerable.

SwanShaped · 05/08/2021 11:33

I bet, tween. It must be so hard to see your daughters struggling.
