No its Newlands Peachy. What is Wood Farm like? Newlands is the sort of site we would avoid at any other time as it has too much going on for us but at Easter it is ideal as it is still relatively quiet.

What don't you like about outwell?

I like that manictree Dh won't touch anything like it though. i think trailer tents are quite cool as well but he has that masochistic male thing about enjoying putting a proper tent up -however hellish it is

Yes the pockets are cool aren't they. We looked at the monty but in the end it wasn't that different from what we had already (although much prettier). I love the fact that you have the seperate room in the Vermont.

we have done our time in 'proper' tents, belive you me...time was 'twas just dh and i, a 2man tent on the back of the motorbike and whatever I could carry on my back...

course, these days it's everything including hot water bottles - even a family flag!

Wood farm is fab, it ahs the pool and a small games room but is also very quiet- a great mix, we went in middle of summer and it was just right- famillies but still peaceful.

would recommend wholeheartedly.

On our alst trip the young chap opposite (in a 2ft high dome tent) spent the entire time making loud comments about us not being 'proper campers' LOl

Amusing thing was (except obv that we heard and kept using the phrase when he was nearby to annoy him ) that he ahd the same tent I ahd at 21!

Which amde me as he is about my age now (33) and I have so moved forwards!

I saw this tent (dusty) is it two compartments (3 and 3) and then a wardrobe space?

We bought a smilar one two or maybe 3 years ago with four compartments - two at each end - seemed to do the trick - especailly with 4 kids.

the one you have bought means you have to share with your kids? if you have more than 3? and they are next door to you?

Loads of livign space though - do you spend much tie inside?

And campsitre looks great - might have a look as I live only a couple of hours away

link to wood farm?

Report
dustystar · 11/05/2007 19:13

We're having the big room for the moment. Dd is having the small room and ds wants to sleep in the wardrobe. we looked at the XL but it was just so wide. We don't spend much time inside if the weather is good but since we camp from Easter till october there is no guarentee of that so we like lots of space.

wood farm

you do pay a fee for the pool but that is reflecte in the initial price- which isn't bad at all fro what it is (beety I think you'd love it and wouldn't take you long at all, 45 minutes from bridgwater)

dustystar · 11/05/2007 19:13

All at the same end sadly beety and the small room is small but in the end we liked it so much we got it anyway. I'll try and find a link that shows the layout.

I agree space is important if you do out of season camping, we do so its one reason why we have a bigger tent

i think a proper camper tbh (to them) was anyone with a crud tent LOL!

(Dh was wella ware of my backpacking years and found it most amusing, especiallya s their tent had a gap with about a foort between base of flysheet and groundshet and when it rained.... well you can guess LOL)
