Actually I need a car capable of pulling a trailer first.

I want a land Rover roof tent. And I have a Peugeot 307 and hate heights...

Slubberdegullion · 31/07/2014 12:54

Mmm. Someone somewhere will have made a 307 roof tent surely. Have you checked Pinterest?

DH could do it. Why do I keep an engineer otherwise? Need to prioritise though... Air con for the wine cellar trailer, or a roof tent....?

Slubberdegullion · 31/07/2014 13:02

I reckon a climate controlled mobile wine cellar pretty much trumps everything else camping paraphernalia related.

Air con trailers! It is one step closer to the pagent

Cereal0ffender · 31/07/2014 15:13

Paegent even

CampingClaire · 31/07/2014 16:16

TheFallenMadonna There is a sort of roof tent you can get for cars!!! Google Swiss Roombox I think it is. Basically a whole load of stuff you slot into you car to camp with but there is a rooftent attachment!! I wanted one for my Beetle...purely cos I thought it would look cute but they don't fit Beetles!!
And yes CerealOffender...we do look like the damn circus has come to town when we roll onto a site! Embarrassed at the beginning but now I appreciate taking the kitchen sink and everything else you don't think you'd need until you really do!!
You can't tell the trailer has aircon jsut by looking at it! I'm sure people groan when they see it and expect four giant dogs to jump out...instead it's just full of cool wine!!

OOOH late to the party, but congrats on your new arrival Slubber, its a beauty.
Love the vario, it really has a shed load of extra space, but do you ever peg it out in any different configuration? Im hoping my new reinforced canopy is going to be coming back soon - have had to send it to the yurtmaker in the next village for repair after those terrible storms a week or so ago - fair near took off in the wind. Those clever dutch people would have dashed out and pegged it in a safe and helpful manner, but we just ended up with a parachute.....

Cereal0ffender · 01/08/2014 09:07

Lolz at the village yurt maker.

pictish · 01/08/2014 09:53

I chuckled at that too. Grin

Cereal0ffender · 01/08/2014 10:07

Blessed are the yurtmakers

pictish · 01/08/2014 10:17

Blessed...and so handy!

TheFantasticMrsFox · 01/08/2014 10:27

I live in a very naice village and we don't have a yurt maker

Ps- campingclaire, should you ever tire of your DH and need a change, my DH would happily take your Land Rover and roof tent you in- he's a kind hearted soul like that :o

Cereal0ffender · 01/08/2014 10:31

My friends brother is a yurt maker, fantasticmrfox if you don't have a local yurt maker you are nothing

That'll learn him to try and leave a 'while you were out' card without even ringing the bell
