i am feeling slightly overwhlmed and hysterical by the level of facilities at this site

not only is there a dog shower but also a cocktail lounge. thunder and lightening kinder shower. tv screens by the wash basins and i just washed up to piped in the navy muzak.
n wales it is not

dh gone potty and put us on luxury pitch with many ehu points two types of water a drain and a satellite dish. so that is nice. i will imagine using ehu and watching austrian tv

Well you haven't missed much. Weather still rubbish here, in fact it's upped the ante since the children went back this week and really thrown it down today.

We've chuntered on, the camping season has pretty much run out steam, and Bramblewatch is the only thing keeping us all going, although Sal is off to the home of canvas this weekend.

At what point do you turn round and come back? Feels like you've been away for ages? Glad you're having a good time and the gaz crisis was averted.

Good luck bramblechooks, how exciting, we may need some pictures later (quite a bit later actually, don't newborn chicks look like dinosaurs at first? I'm quite happy to wait until they are cute and fluffy!) Do you think all the eggs have 'worked', sorry I don't know the technical term. We got 5 ducks from 8 eggs which was very exciting.

Slubber it's time to come back when your campsite starts having better facilities than your house. How far a drive are you? I quite fancy a bit more Alpine fun this year. How come after years of only going away for a week I go away for three and it still doesn't seem enough?

I bought a new car this morning! I am obviously the opposite to scaryt and her well thought out purchase. Well to be honest we have been thinking about it for 6 months, I was just being too snobby about buying a Skoda just wanted to get it right. I'd been looking around (and kidding myself we could really afford a new car) what we wanted came into the garage last night as part exchange, it's exactly what we want and scrapes in under our budget. Woo hoo, next week the Multipla can bugger off!

Thank God you're here Losty! I had the feeling that I was talking to myself and the Eurovision voting panel, who clearly had a satellite delay and couldn't hear what I was saying, hence the repetition.

Maybe Slubber's stuck her head in the cocktail shower by mistake.

Pause in birth whilst chick breathes through tiny hole having pecked a thousand times to make it. It must have heard my children asking me whyyyyyyyy they can't go on the computer. It wil then spend five hours pecking all the way around then popping up with a stretch with the blunt bit on it's head. It's siblings haven't started yet. This was the one that I picked up this morning and heard scraping from egg. Another egg I picked up cheeped at me.

Oh yes and ds2 (blondie with a red tint) started high school this morning. Glad to see I've got my priorities right.

Losty, last 'scan', ok, torch shone through egg, if only the nhs realized how cheap they could do it with a really powerful lamp - we could line pregnant women up around the top of a lighthouse to save money on scans - showed 13 possibles. I reckon we'll get about 8 survivors from this if we're fortunate.

Tugs on gas and air. Switches on tens machine.

I love the idea of an egg cheeping at me (well as long as it's not one I bought from Tesco for baking with.)

Do you think each area of the country has a woman, or even family, like us? The wine loving families who produce boys and shout heartily to one another about guy ropes and axes?

Aother egg pipping (beak crack) and frantic hammring from inside one of the frizzle eggs. There is cheeping under sheila's embonpoint, but from in eggs. I daren't lift her as I'll change the humidity and the eggs need it to hatch.
