Anyone want to join me in losing weight?

I lost weight last year and more the year before. But having fallen off the wagon a bit lately, I now need to lose another stone to get back into my BMI (health reasons).

Anyone care to join me?

Goodness,Redpony! That's loads. A great start. Keep going!

I'm having a bit of a slow start myself. Two days away meant I wasn't in charge of meal planning so that wasn't easy. That said, we walked a lot, so we'll see. Back now, and no further excuses.

Good day today so far. Have eaten yogurt and fruit with a small handful of muesli, then for lunch a salad of fine green beans, hone grown, mushrooms and lettuce, in a very small portion of olive oil French dressing. Plus a slice of W/m bread. Then a few raspberries.

Thank you! It's not sustainable though, on longer run days i will have to well exceed 1200 as i just won't get round! Plus, 1000 calories is VERY hard to stick to!

Mrsramsayscat · 06/07/2018 20:21

I agree it isn't, and probably best.
I got gallstones a while back and was told by a consultant that a key reason people get it is losing more than two pounds a week.

I lost 1lb! Not a massive amount but all I was aiming for in a week so I'm thrilled! 😆 Also this a week of not much exercise and my 30th birthday 🎉

Decided to do what another poster suggested and give myself a treat for each half stone lost so in 6lbs more I'm getting a much needed hair cut.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 07/07/2018 21:07

4lb down here over the last week and a half. Not a clue why or how as it's been a week of not planning what I eat. Although it's been a bit too hot to eat too much unless it's ice cream but something must have worked.

annandale · 07/07/2018 21:19

Hope I can join in. I've really been trying to lose for about 18 months using MFP, but it's been very off and on. I've never gone back to where I was at my worst though. I work on kilos - today I was just over 94 which is a little under 15 stone. I'm 5'9" and my aim is to get under 77kg which would be - just - a healthy bmi. The next aim though is to get under 92kg which is overweight not obese. I've already done it twice so it's frustrating but never mind! I did 2000m on the rowing machines and 500m in the pool tonight. Just aim to keep chipping away.

Woohoo, Cheese! Well done you! That's a good result.

And you too DrM, especially without planning.

Annandale, I'm only aiming to just tuck inside my BMI, too.

Well done Cheese!

I’m on MyFitnessPal trying to stick to 1200 calories and it’s tough! I was doing a lot of weightlifting and high intensity stuff with a personal trainer before my wedding and he said to eat 1600 which was easier
But with 2 babies I just don’t have time for the gym
I was at a bbq yesterday so didn’t count calories but tried not to go nuts eating

ImogenTubbs · 08/07/2018 12:37

Holiday starts today! Meeting DH there and DD is with my parents. Flight delayed and am stuck at boring airport by myself. Soooo want to go and distract myself with cake but am swigging water in an attempt to resist. Confused

Comforte · 08/07/2018 17:13

Hi can I join too please?
New to mumsnet and trying to learn to live again after 22years of abusive marriage.
I'm 5,8 and 13 8
Ideally I'd like to be 12

Could do with posting my weight weekly as incentive Confused

Mrsramsayscat · 08/07/2018 22:01

Hi Conforte, you're most welcome. You've already lost quite a few stones, so I'm sure another 20 pounds is do-able!

Today's weight 85.9. So....here I go!

Mrsramsayscat · 09/07/2018 07:45

Cheeseandapple · 09/07/2018 19:13

@Mrsramsayscat that's fab! Well done!

I'm so impressed with everyone's progress.

My baby woke, fed and was back to sleep around 5 so I threw some work out clothes in and managed my first, very quick workout since I found out I was pregnant last September!

nervousseacreature · 09/07/2018 23:04

Well done everyone! 🎉

I weighed yesterday. Was down from 68.4kg to 67.1kg. Happy with that 🙂

Comforte · 10/07/2018 06:45

Today 84.1 after a huge run!!

Great motivation from here!! Smile

annandale · 10/07/2018 07:32

Oof 92.4 this morning! I'm really pleased as it's been a social weekend with lots of food available. Making the mental breakthrough that just because food is available in don't have to eat it is the crucial thing...

nervousseacreature · 10/07/2018 19:30

annandale - Making the mental breakthrough that just because food is available in don't have to eat it is the crucial thing... definitely agree, I need to remember this!

I’ve no idea when I’d fit in a proper workout but am trying to get out for a walk with the kids. The pram is so heavy with 2 in it I’m definitely getting an arm workout trying to stop it going into the road!

robindeer · 10/07/2018 22:56

I've lost 6lb! No idea how but the scales don't lie (do they?!). I've been calorie counting using my fitness pal but have done no exercise. My breakfasts have definitely been healthier (e.g. a boiled egg with wholemeal toast rather than crumpets dripping in melted butter Blush ) but the biggest thing has been that the calorie counting has stopped me snacking. I've done two supermarket shops and haven't bought my usual giant bar of galaxy either! Thanks for the motivation everyone. Just need to start exercising now!

m0therofdragons · 11/07/2018 07:07

I'm 2.5 weeks in and I'm down from 11st 5lbs to 10st 11lbs.

10st 10lbs would take me out of the "overweight" bmi bracket so I'm feeling really positive. I'm low carb and not missing bread at all (which I never thought I'd say!).

Well done everyone on some great losses.

Comforte · 11/07/2018 17:29

Motherofdragons. That's amazing!!! Go you!!

Comforte · 12/07/2018 09:11

83.9 today!!

Cheeseandapple · 12/07/2018 10:11

It's so good waking up to all these amazing losses! Such good motivation. Well done everyone! 💖

Mrsramsayscat · 12/07/2018 14:11

Really well done everyone!
