question about baby bottles by grandmother

Does anyone know if anyone makes a wide necked bottle that has a travel lid that screws on to the top of the bottle so its like a jar but lid doesnt have a hole in the middle where the teat goes....does that make sense?

Avent bottles come with a plastic disc that you can put over the hole where the teat normally goes making it like a screw top jar. I think that's what you mean.

Yes the Avent ones have 'sealing discs'. A little rubbery white disk that fits into the screw on neck part of the bottle. So in effect it converts the bit that usually holds the teat, into the jar lid that you are looking for.
I don't have any anymore, but perhaps if you put a wanted post in the classifieds for some, and then bought avent bottles if you haven't already, then you will be sorted.
I am not sure where you buy them from, mine sorta came with the bottles that my friend gave me.

No I have never seen a complete screw lid for a baby's bottle. I said yes in my last post cos I thought you wanted the bottles as well. Didn't read your post properly.
As the avent bottles are sold just about everywhere I'd get some of those and these sealing discs. Once the sealing disc is in the screw top part of the bottle its exactly the same as just having a screw top for the bottle. When I used the avent discs they made the top pretty watertight, they never leaked.

Perhaps the screw top bottles are something your gran used but not available now. Or are you the gran, I'm not quite sure

I had a tommee tippee breast pump which came with a wide neck bottle with a screw top lid. Not sure if you can buy them separately though. I'll have a look.

My friend uses Doctor Brown bottles, and that comes with a disc you can use to seal the bottle.

Have you been to Mothercare and Toys R Us and had a poke around? I can't quite envisage what you mean.

Blast, just found them on another site and they have the disc in the middle.

Sullysmum - the Natureflow/Breastflow (or something like that) bottles are very wide and come with a screw on lid. You can get them in Mothercare. The teat is the most boob like one on the market (didn't mean that DD2 drank from it though, but that's another story )

If you go for the Tommee Tippee bottles, I still might have the screw on lid to the pot that came with the breast pump somewhere...

Is to store formula in? Avent do a little container that you can store three servings of powder in.

I mean it looks like a little boob, not that it really is like one, as evidenced by unimpressed baba

Had a look in boots and other baby shops and arnt bottles expensive now since i had my kids. Nothing that looks suitable for what i want to use it for, I asked an assistant in sainsburys and when i told her what i wanted it for she looked at me like i was bonkers .

What do you want it for? Someone might have another suggestion.
