I'm happy and gutted all at the same time.

don't hug her, she's got rock hard leaky breasts...

I have the almost uncontrollable urge to drive down to the south coast and deliver a gentle sideways kind of hug

LadyTophamHatt · 19/01/2007 11:29

i figure even if i only manage to express 1 feed a day it's better than nothing.

a whole lot better than nothing....

i am patting myself on the back right now!!

Tatties · 19/01/2007 11:47

Brilliant LTH

Here is a link to the BFN website - if you click on the link about analgesics, it will tell you what is ok to take while bf.

PeckaRolloverAgain · 19/01/2007 11:51

OOHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh LOVELY

Im reading this feeling sooo delighted and silently chatting "Latch him on, please, latch him on"

Well done LTH xxx

LadyTophamHatt · 19/01/2007 11:55

See what he does if you try to latch him!

Hold him like a football and when he opens his wee mouth WIDE, aim the nipple at his temple.

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 19/01/2007 15:55

24 hours I think.

The more you pump, the more you'll get What pump do you have?

expatinscotland · 19/01/2007 15:56

I used to get things going by hand expressing first, then getting on the manual pump.

LadyTophamHatt · 19/01/2007 15:59

An avent one.

bloody hurts this time now. might have a bath later and do it in there......

yellowrose · 19/01/2007 16:00

won't he latch lady ? why are you expressing ? sorry i must have missed the first episode of this thread somewhere !

happy for you that you have so much milk

SoupDragon · 19/01/2007 16:00

I always found it hurt for the first few pumps and then stopped.

Do you have the Avent Via storage bottles/feeding adapter thingy to go with it? Would you like me to send you some?

expatinscotland · 19/01/2007 16:02

I have about 20 of Advent storage thingies left over if you want them, including hte ones that go w/the pump.

I'd be happy to post them to you.

It does hurt the first few pumps sometimes, and sometimes w/the let down.

Just take some really deep breaths.

After a bath a really good time to pump, too.

LadyTophamHatt · 19/01/2007 16:03

i've got some of those little caps for the bottles that you use instead of teats.....is that what you mean soupy??

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 19/01/2007 16:04

No, I've got some plastic cups with screw lids on that fit to the pump with an adapter. You can also use the adaptor thing to put the teat on to feed straight from the storage bottle.

SoupDragon · 19/01/2007 16:05

Item 2) here although there are no longer 10 cups as there are a bunch in the freezer still.

LadyTophamHatt · 19/01/2007 16:08

another question.....

the milk seems to get trapped and bubble under the soft bendy thing that goes on my boob. between the hard plastic and the sillicone thing iyswim.....am i doing something wrong??

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 19/01/2007 16:08

(yellowrose, briefly, LTH didn't manage to bf previous 3 DS, happy to ff, was going to try bf with DS4, traumatic birth so decided to go with ff)

SoupDragon · 19/01/2007 16:08

No, mine did that too. IIRC when you release the presure it trickles out where it's meant to go.

SoupDragon · 19/01/2007 16:09

I still feel all warm and fuzzy from your delight BTW. Sigh.

Have to go and sort tea now.

expatinscotland · 19/01/2007 16:11

Take the silicony thing off and just put the straight plastic on the boob.

I threw it out.

Found it more comfortable w/o the silicony thing.

LadyTophamHatt · 19/01/2007 16:12

A rather dissappointing 1/2 and onuce this time....from both norks!

hoxtonchick · 19/01/2007 16:12
