I was boobing up my DS today, and I thought to myself "Who are all these wankers that hate that phrase?"

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/10/2006 20:45

actually my grandad was the worst:
'is he on the tit? oh, they like a bit of tit!'

omfg, i could have died!

LadyOfTheFlowersAKA2Babies0Bum · 22/10/2006 20:47

i have no bump VVV, but the registration page thought it would lose the 'p' and make a joke of me!!
am losing all of it soon, just want to be recognised!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/10/2006 21:03

My fil calls it "titty".

TheDaVinciCod · 22/10/2006 21:03

mt fil never did and never WIll mention my breasts
how ODD

disemboweledbint · 22/10/2006 21:04

my FIL actually takes his glasses off if he's around when i'm mid breastfeed. i think he thinks that's polite.

FrannyandZooey · 22/10/2006 21:06

My FIL used to leave the room

we have no other communal public type rooms in our house so he used to have to go into the garden

After about the third time I managed to hobble upstairs to our bedroom instead, it was raining after all

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/10/2006 21:26

Well, he probably doesnt call them breasts.

He probably calls them knockers and you just never realised....

I think the difference is that in our circle of family we arent embarrassed about b/feeding, because we all feel its the natural thing to do.
Its not like we sit there and FIL asks how my "titties" are. THAT would be odd.

Friend's MIL to her daughter's boyfriend (following that?!)

"Now, you musn't mind x(friend) feeding the bairn, it's just a little titty bottle!"

Friend, boyfriend and all concerned were most aghast.

littlepiggieneedssomesleep · 22/10/2006 22:05

not sure i like 'boobing up' either.

Its called foodies in our house. Although ds cant talk yet he understands 'do you want some foodies'

mumchez · 22/10/2006 22:43

DD1 whilst sitting in bed the other night, me 'boobing up' dd2 --' baba eat..'
me to DD1-- yes, baby eating, thats right
DD1 -- 'baba eat milk..'
me to dd1- yes...
DD1 -- 'baba eat mummums booboos'

funny but also odd!!

ladyoftheflowers- PMSL!!! I would have wanted the floor to swallow me up there and then!!

TooTickyTheAppleBobber · 23/10/2006 14:45

my dd2 signs for it. It's the only baby sign we ever got the hang of.
