I was boobing up my DS today, and I thought to myself "Who are all these wankers that hate that phrase?"

Well, ds1 has his own unique slant on life.
He also says that when he grows uphe wants to be a pumpkin for a living.

FrannyandZooey · 22/10/2006 13:03

I have boobed a panda, and a wooden boat

(but I agree with you Aitch I think the phrase itself is completely chronic )

FrannyandZooey · 22/10/2006 13:07

Oh, so I suppose the answer to the thread title is:

"Me, and Aitch."

AlfredAitchcock · 22/10/2006 13:08

for a minute there i thought you said you'd boobed on a panda and a wooden boat.
the boat i could picture but you and ds on the back of an endangered species was harder to visualise. was thinking 'christ, she is committed.'

FrannyandZooey · 22/10/2006 13:10

It was only a stuffed panda but my lord did it take some boobing

TheDaVinciCod · 22/10/2006 13:12

boobing up?
do you LIFT him with a boob?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/10/2006 18:38

Yes, I did Cod. Absolutely.

with my breasts

i could KILL myself for bringing this phrase to the attention of people who didn't know/use it.

TooTickyTheAppleBobber · 22/10/2006 19:25

HM, I talk aboutmilks too. I also, crazily, say things like "I'm just milking dd2"

popsycal · 22/10/2006 19:33

ds2 calls it baba
which round here is a baby language term for children.....
so the other day we had the following conversation in the supermarket:
ds2: mama baba baba more baba
me: no ds2 later
ds2: baba mama more
me: oooh look at this lovely tin of beans bs2
ds2: baba mama
me: baba later ds2
old lady: ooooh where are the babas???
ds2: dere!!!!!

hunkermunker · 22/10/2006 19:43

ROFL Popsy!

To clarify, I only use it in the sense "to boob" - I dispense with the "up".

Ingalls · 22/10/2006 19:52

ROFLMAO at this thread!

dd not old enough to have any chat about the whole bf thing but does have a tendancy to point at my boobs and shout "dat" if not fed quickly enough on waking up/after bathtime at night.

misdee · 22/10/2006 19:53

dd3 doesnt really call them anything, but if i am pushing the tolly she is known to grab my top and try and get one out

popsycal · 22/10/2006 19:55

supermarket trolleys were not designed with breastfed toddlers in mind................

misdee · 22/10/2006 20:07

definatly not. have had many mishaps of a boob grabbing toddler kind.

also if i am cuddling her in a newborn type cradle hold, sher does like to give them a little kiss. bless her.

popsycal · 22/10/2006 20:19

my normally lovely MIL today eard ds2 ask for 'baba' and laughed and said 'you know when they are old enough to ask, they are too old'
to which i replied
'does the same apply to children asking for sweets?'

'thats not the same though' she replied
so i replied 'I know. breastmilk is good for children...'

misdee · 22/10/2006 20:20

pmsl. and what did she say?

popsycal · 22/10/2006 20:21

nohing lol
subject was changed
she is normally fab btw and i am sure she was just engaging in light hearted banter
but it miffed me a bit

popsycal · 22/10/2006 20:21

ds2 could sign for it aroun 8 months anyway

harpsichordcarrion · 22/10/2006 20:27

signing for it would be nice....dd2 just launches herself at it with her mouth open
I am loving "schnuffling" btw

LadyOfTheFlowersAKA2Babies0Bum · 22/10/2006 20:27

i used to 'boob' ds all the time. i hate the word 'breast'!!

hunkermunker · 22/10/2006 20:28

PMSL - I just read signing as in "what the postman asks you to do to receive a parcel", not a hand gesture...

FrannyandZooey · 22/10/2006 20:29

A friend of mine once said "They're too old when they can ask for it? Dd can spell it "

hunkermunker · 22/10/2006 20:29

"the breast" is worse, I think. As in, "bring baby to the breast" - er - "the" - it's mine, surely?!
