Wooo little man slwpt til half 8! :)

MissingMyMarbles · 20/03/2013 09:26

Not a great night here and I am painfully tired this morning. DH took her downstairs so I got an extra hour but still achingly tired. What sleep I did her was plagued by weird dreams to do with work. Hope that doesn't continue for the next 10 daysHmm

Yay for good sleepers; boo for bad.

Missmarbles is just over 8 months and there's no predictability to her appetite at all. One day could eat like a small horse, the be t barely touched it, and it could be the same meal. Some days she wants more milk sometimes less and it doesn't even seem to affect her sleep that much generally crap, so maybe just don't notice just have to trust she's eating what she needs.

MrsNPattz · 20/03/2013 09:46

Up time at half 8 here, he finally went back down at ten to 4, when I started to feel really sick! It was very strange, but I feel a bit better this morning. Going to brave the weather and go for a walk later, then make some bran muffins this afternoon.

Abi that's brilliant - just what you needed!

Small sorry your hv wasn't supportive - is it BLW you are doing? Have you seen babyledweaning.com?

larlemucker · 20/03/2013 11:24

Baby larle has what looks like urates in his nappy again this morn, spoke to HV and off to dr this afternoon. Please let it be nothing serious

GoatBongosAnonymous · 20/03/2013 11:27

larle ((hugs)) for you. All the best for your trip to gp, hope you get some answers.

MrsNPattz · 20/03/2013 12:41

Hugs Larle - fingers crossed! xx

Babybeesmama · 20/03/2013 12:51

Virtual hug larle! Hope all ok xx

larlemucker · 20/03/2013 17:41

Can you believe the dr googled it, she used google! I could have done that, she didn't even examine him (he was asleep tho). I insisted she call the paediatrician who said it could still be urates but its definitely not blood.
So we have a sample bottle and if it happens again we have to get a urine sample. The paediatrician is not concerned though.

HV on Monday for 3 month check so will discuss with her.

Thank you for thinking of us today. Baby larle is fine in himself so fingers crossed it doesn't happen again, just hope it's not that he is dehydrated as we're on just breast milk now.

Babybeesmama · 20/03/2013 18:07

Ah bless larle! Its always a bit disconcerting when GP's use the net - mine did it to decide if babybee needed vit d supplements!

Well, he did a 2 1/4 hour nap this afternoon & we've missed out last nap- ill report back if it improves night sleep like HV said! X

Smallgreenone · 20/03/2013 18:37

Glad baby larle ok.
amey we tried Ella's kitchen but Hv said not to use them unless in emergency as they were the wrong texture Hmm. I will try eating with him - he swiped a celery stick off me today but of course he couldn't actually eat it as way too hard. He also still hasn't poo'd so think that is part of the problem.
We can't ditch the afternoon nap either as he would just be way too tired. He only has a half hour at 3.30 and he's knackered by bedtime so I don't think that's our problem.
Oh we'll here we go another night.....

Babybeesmama · 20/03/2013 18:57

Small I gave babybee califig syrup - tiny spoonful made him poo!

He's managed to get through to 645 & fast on now! X

EeyoresGloomyPlace · 20/03/2013 19:01

larle glad DS is ok, but Shock at the dr googling his symptoms! That's awful, you could do that yourself. Good that you got to see the paediatrician.

abi that sounds like a lovely lie in, hooray! :)

I missed last nights posts because we were actually sleeping!! Feed at midnight then a bit of a stir and resettle around 2 ish but then nothing until 6 Grin Felt really good today, but wonder if I'll pay tonight now?!

In other news, we've booked our first house viewing in Cornwall. Quite excited but nervous too as I don't want to fall in love with anywhere just yet! We're driving down for the week next Tuesday evening and seeing the house on thurs

Bedtime now, sleepy dust tonight for all.
Heff xx

MrsNPattz · 20/03/2013 19:48

So glad baby Larle is ok, but shocked at the googling!

How exciting Heff!

Hope we all have good nights Blush

abi2790 · 20/03/2013 21:00

Glad baby larle is okay Smile

Ds seems to be very hungry this evening! Although he was the same last night and he had a good sleep so I'm hoping it's the same tonight.

Babybeesmama · 20/03/2013 21:16

Malteasers bunny's are amazing Grin nom nom. 4pp! X

MrsNPattz · 20/03/2013 21:38

MissingMyMarbles · 20/03/2013 22:28

Missmarbles has just successfully taken a bottle of formulaSad Whilst I know this is for the best practically, with me going back to work in a fortnight and onto nights, and it will make life a lot easier for DH and for her, I am guttedSad

larlemucker · 20/03/2013 22:54

Oh marbles sorry to hear its upset you but glad she took a bottle.
I do keep thinking how much easier it would be if I gave up bf as then we could share the nights when DH off work and going out without him would be much easier but at the same time I love bf! I know I'll have to stop when I go back to work as I just can't express enough to give him bottles during the day. I always said I'd give up when he got teeth but now I'm wondering if I'll be able to sort my supply like funch did so I can give him a night feed when back at work.

MissingMyMarbles · 20/03/2013 23:07

Thank you Larle Sad
I love breastfeeding too. My babies are little when they're born because I'm not very well when I'm pregnant but they make up for it on the outside because I can breast feed. I know it's only going to be one feed a day and then a bed time bottle only once or twice a week when my shift is a twilight, so DH will have to put her to bed then. I don't have enough ebm stored and I am not managing to express much at the minute (that may change when I am working because I will have to express a bit or my boobs might explode Confused), so formula it is.

MissingMyMarbles · 20/03/2013 23:18

Glad the paedatrician isn't too concerned, Larle

Hope you have a repeat of last night, Abi

Didn't do too well on the diet front again today. Need to get my act together or my uniforms are not going to fit. Also a massive cream egg fan here too, Heff, hence the packet of Splats I ateWink They're a bit disappointing though, as there isn't much cream in them Hmm Love maltesers too, Amey. Oh this isn't helping the dietGrin

Hope everyone has good nights.

MrsNPattz · 21/03/2013 01:27

First feed! I have my oral glucose tolerance test tomorrow, I can't eat until after it - I'm hungry already!! Got to be up fairly early for it so I hope this is the only feed!

Aw Marbles I totally understand why you feel that way, but you have done so well and are doing the best for your girl! How old is she now?

Has anyone seen the pictures of the cream egg cupcakes/brownies??

MrsNPattz · 21/03/2013 01:50

A transfer fail?? That hasn't happened for a while! Peed off!

Susieloo · 21/03/2013 01:55

Shock at google larle

How are you feeling stitch?

First feed since six which is a definite improvement but he is now v awake, wish I had been asleep for most of those hours but I kept waiting for him to wake up, I'm slowly reducing the amount of milk he is having in the night to try and stop night feeds altogether, not sure whether to risk putting him in his cot awake and then risk the cot circus coming to town or keep cuddling him until he drifts off.

Hope second transfer fail is successful mrsn.
