Hi everyone, cannot believe we have exchanged over 5000 messages!

mrsn when we shared our locations on here a while back, heff, goat and I all turned out to live near Uxbridge so we met up having met on here. It is lovely, if you are ever down south let us know!

macaroons sounds like we are in the same boat Hmm I officially return to work on 15 Feb but that is actually the Friday before half term so only have that day and then another week off before full time return hits. I am lucky that DH is being a SAHD til 1st July so no drop offs, pick ups or worries about the childminder ringing me because babyfunch is ill etc, and she is in great hands with him, much as I have been critical of him til we talked it over recently. However I am worried about being at work on no sleep - I will get in a lot of trouble if I lose my rag with a pupil or indeed a member of my team (one of whom is a pain). I will have to perfect the art of letting some things go (eg uniform issues in the corridor as opposed to in my lessons - I spend a lot of time arguing with pupils about these and intend to stop save for the very worst!) and dealing with others by just reporting bad behaviour to heads of year rather than dealing with it myself. I am head of faculty so will focus just on what happens in lessons in my faculty rather than working quite so hard on having the best corridor behaviour in the school in my area - it is great having that but takes a lot of time, energy and conflict so it will just have to go n the back burner until I am getting proper sleep again. At this rate dd will be in year 7 by then herself and can help me!

Hi

not having a good day my other 2 boys are acting like spoilt brats and being generally annoying have already put them into their rooms for waking baby pip up but my oldest has just come down to ask me to buy him a new bed Hmm

who had the fudge, I think its a fudge kinda day

omg look your my new idol, I feel legend status coming your way Wink obviously thats a bit useless when your trying to sort out TWO babies.

I think you should apply too Amey and then see how you feel when Sep comes, things can change so much by then so at least your giving yourself the option Smile options are always good

ok so I just want this day over already and I still have to go round to my mums and my brats have told my sil and their cousin that we are going which means of course they are going to go which is annoying for me as they just sit on their asses waiting for me to run after them, so another reason I am peeved with my kids, might just cancel going

anyway will not bring out sleep deprived thread down any further

Tooodlepip · 27/01/2013 12:08

sorry I'm not ignoring everyone else, small, Goat, Larle, fun, Mrs N and newbies too Smile I will try and turn this day around and come back later on

GoatBongosAnonymous · 27/01/2013 13:39

Meh, I should maybe not have said anything to DH yearerday about my diet having fallen off the rails (is that a mixed metaphor?) as I woke this morning to a delightful tummy bug. Hmm. Glad it is Sunday so DH can take BG for a bit, as I couldn't even lift him this morning. think BG might have it a bit too as has screamed blue murder half the morning, very unusual. Oh well. Think how svelte I will be after this!
Hope the turkey curry I made yesterday isn't to blame...

Lots of fudge left tooodle the maple and walnut is to die for!
Waves feebly to everyone else

BrainGoneAwol · 27/01/2013 15:45

Wow. A few days off mn and the thread nearly reaches 1000 posts!

Bit too much to catch up on, so general hellos to everyone. Except the fudge which clearly requires special mention. goat that sounds amazing"

Been trying to get feeds/transfers done in half an hour, with mixed success. Last night my lovely neighbours played loud Latin music til 5.45. Great. Early bed for me!

No doubt chat later...

ChilliBanana · 27/01/2013 17:30

Ok, I think my child has multiple personality disorder.
Friday night - went to bed like an angel, slept until 11 and then point blank refused to have anything to do with his cot for the rest of the night and screamed blue murder every time his head touched it.
Last night - screamed through bedtime, refused bedtime feed, slept until 11 and then every time I transferred him, even 2 mins after finishing his feed, he opened his eyes then closed them and went to sleep! And I've just successfully put him down for a nap in his cot for the first time ever during the day. I don't quite know what to do with myself now....

goat how miserable for you, poor thing, but at least your DH is around to help.

toodle I hope your day did turn around for you

amey I was born in tas but spent most of my adult life in Newcastle (2 hours north of Sydney) so I think of this as my home, despite the fact that most of my friends and family have decamped to Brisbane. We haven' been back in a couple of years and I don't know when we'll be able to afford to go next, which makes me quite sad.

Oh, and my lovely mother in law has just brought round some real life laminations for me!

Winding up the sleepy mice to send out for later...

ChilliBanana · 27/01/2013 18:27

Oops - lamingtons, not laminations Smile

Ameybee · 27/01/2013 18:51

Giving a last bottle here, I'm on night duty again tonight so I will be in bed early! I'm going to try and persevere and ssh pat tonight & get him up at 7am n not let him snooze in my arms in bed tenner says I'm co sleeping by 4am ! I wouldn't mind co sleeping so much if he would just lie next to me but he wants my arm underneath his head (like I'm holding him) so it goes dead and I get no sleep!
One more week till DH has a week off Grin hoping he can help me get into some sort of routine & I'd quite like to go swimming or something (by myself) to relax as I seem to be having trouble doing that lately!!
Got them both Tomo, and its Sunday night (we re named it shit night Sunday as its infamously always bad!).
Sleepy dust all! X

Ameybee · 27/01/2013 19:01

Ps goat hope you feel better! And look - you are amazing feeding twins as the others have said! X

GoatBongosAnonymous · 27/01/2013 19:09

See you all later!

ChilliBanana · 27/01/2013 19:25

And look you have my utmost respect and I hope you have some good people that take care of you.

Well, bedtime took 15mins and he's been asleep for nearly 40mins and this is a record! Long may it remain...

Tooodlepip · 27/01/2013 19:31

Ameybee · 27/01/2013 20:01

I'm taking myself off to bed shortly if I can get DS to sleep again as I'm in a foul mood & not looking forward to the night ahead. Confused X

MrsNPattz · 27/01/2013 20:07

GoatBongosAnonymous · 27/01/2013 20:32

MissingMyMarbles · 27/01/2013 21:07

Mmmmm lamingtons and fudge this way pleaseGrin
Agree Sundays suckConfused
We have a toothGrin! Hopefully, this means we might have a better night, if the last few months weeks have been teeth wiggling about.

TheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 27/01/2013 21:28

Hope you're on the mend soon goat let me know if there's anything I can do, any errands to run I'll be in town tomorrow.

The lamingtons sound tasty, not doing my diet any favours thinking of all these lovely treats!

Just been reading back a bit, amey I agree with the others go for it, you can always change your mind.

How's things today mrsn? Hope its been a bit better.

Nice day here today, DH took the four of us for breakfast then we went to the park and mooched about a bit. Just settling down now to enjoy new Top Gear and Call The Midwife, girls asleep for now.

MrsNPattz · 27/01/2013 21:45

Lilliana · 28/01/2013 00:55

Woke for first feed at 12:11, she only went to sleep at 10:30. Am so tired.

Had a busy weekend and took baby lil swimming for the first time today. She was shattered by bed time so why awake so soon!? :(

Sorry too tired to name check but hope sleep is going well for you all.

funchum8am · 28/01/2013 01:08

First feed here and I went to bed early and actually slept instead of lying awake so have had 3.5 hours straight for the first time in a while.

goat sorry you're poorly, let me know if I can get you anything.

marbles how exciting, first tooth! Next stop, graduation! They are getting to be big boys and girls Shock

Sunday night always feels awful doesn't it? Definite sense of doom about it. Hope everyone is getting some sleep and that all older children are behaving!

Attempting transfer....

OP posts:
Ameybee · 28/01/2013 02:07

After a feed at 1030 - awake again now. Have tried 30 mins of ssh patting & have now resorted to a bottle. Please let him go down till 7 after it! That would be amazing! I miss continuous sleep SO much :( x

Ameybee · 28/01/2013 02:12

I wonder how long I would sleep for if I was allowed- 3 days? I reckon I could do a good 14 hours if left to it! DH has suggested I have a night at a friends, might take him up on that offer.
...... Transfer time Confused wish me luck! X

Smallgreenone · 28/01/2013 02:35

amey I had a night at a friends and woke up anyway! My stupid body clock is now set to wake three hourly! Just given baby small a bottle so transfer soon.
DH and I bickered all evening and I'm still in a bad mood. Really hate fighting with him but he's such an idiot at times and he'd had too much to drink. I'm glad it's Monday!!!

MrsNPattz · 28/01/2013 02:53

Up for first feed. The diet has well and truly gone out of the window - start again on Tuesday!

I was reading part 1 of this thread earlier - little man was just two weeks old when I joined. It was funny reading it and now look at us - nearly on part 6!

MrsNPattz · 28/01/2013 02:53

This is part 6 - nearly on part 7!
