We're back home now after a big travelling day but both the girls were great. We stopped for tea just before we got home which made bedtime a bit late. Tend to find we have a better night if Missmarbles is down by 6.30; tonight however it was nearer 8 but she's still asleep - the first four hour stretch since I can't remember when, so hopefully.....

Tomorrows task is getting the tree down and the living room tidied up. Tesco are delivering in the morning but will have to pop out for the fruit and veg. I also need to photocopy some documents and drop them off for my new job although that could be done on Friday and I really should pick up the guinea pigs too. So a busy day ahead; should have made the most of the long evening. Need to ring a couple if nurseries too Sad

Hope the dreaded mastitis clears up soon Small. You have really had a bad run with it Sad

Argh! Spoke too soon Missmarbles is awake!
Sorry not to get further name checking done.
Happy New Year everyone

Babyloo had a really good sleep from about half six until half eleven but required a full nappy, vest and gro bag wet so he is back in his sleepsuit, going into town Friday to pick up second gro bag.

Having a day at home today making some meals for babyloo now that he will be six months in a few days including chicken stock with no salt!!

Hope you feel better small and hope you feel relieved that you have stopped bf, hope you get some sleep and feel better in the morning.

Babyloo will now settle straight back down until 7 - I can dream.....

Second feed here and first was only an hour ago. Attempting transfer - if she sleeps past 3 it will be an improvement on last night!

Thanks everyone for kind words it really is a bugger of a thing. I'm putting him on cow and gate, gp said they were all pretty similar. Have a question though- how do you get around night feeds as it says make up the bottle half an hour before and use within two hours Confused

Good luck with potty training heff! Once DD was ready we found it much easier than we thought, I was terrified but she cracked it within a few days. I bought a potette (travel potty) to take out & about.

small with night bottles this is what we do - before bed sterilise 2 bottles and boil kettle and put 4oz water in one then put in fridge, when he wakes in night boil kettle and put 2oz boiling water in other bottle - add formula powder (so long as powder goes in boiling bit its ok) shake then add the cold boiled water out fridge so it doesn't take much cooling. We find he downs it during night and doesn't take an oz here and there. Other option is to give cartons at room temp so no need to go downstairs. Bit annoying going down to kitchen but get more sleep after! Grin X

Arg! Repeated transfer fails since 3am :(

I'm getting so fed up, each time I have to pick her up, feed for about 30 seconds before she goes back to sleep, put her down and she's awake again in less than a minute :( I want to go back to sleeeeeep!!

Thanks for the good luck wishes, its so scary I've been putting it off for probably longer than was strictly necessary. More than anything I'm dreading the having to stay at home all day for the first few days, expecting serious cabin fever.

Sorry that people are feeling so awful at present - between depression and mastitis etc this giving birth thing can be no bloody fun! ( as opposed to being mum... Xmas Smile ) my sympathies and hugs to all.

heff if you need visitors to keep cabin fever at bay let me know!

A downside to Kid's obsession with rolling - I put him down to sleep on his back and within 30 seconds he is on his front. And everyone says blithely, oh that's ok, if he can roll back to front, he can roll front to back because it is much easier. Only problem is, he can't... Trust Kid not to do things the normal way! But cue me waking every few minutes in paranoia to check his breathing!

Sorry not to name check. Exhaustion is hovering.

Hope nights went ok for people. Been attempting to get babybrain to sleep in his cot rather than Moses basket these last two nights - cue lots of waking.

Am also moreorless convinced he has reflux so going to try to see the gp. Hopefully it will help his feeding and transfers.

Our routine is meltdown at 7.30 dp does nappy and clothes change (into grobag etc) at 8pm and then reads aloud from a book we are reading together while I bf. Babybrain drops off anywhere between 9.30 and 11pm. Bath night is the same with dp doing that as part if pre-feed prep.

Sorry for lack of name check. Too much to catch up on.

So much for me imposing a morning routine - after an hour of wailing in her cot after 3am feed I had to take babyfunch into bed at about 4, transfer then went ok after feeding to sleep about 5, then fed her lying down again just before 7 and eventually woken by DH after 10! But at least I stuck to not letting her get up early with DH . And I got at least some sleep. But surely feeding at midnight, 1.30, 3:08, 4.45, 6.50 is not normal at 13 weeks?! What on earth do I do when I go back to work if she is still doing this and refusing bottles? Shock

We finally got back to sleep at 5, not fun :(

So far this morning DD1 has been really proud of her big girl pants but because we got up late she's not had a wee yet. I'm trying not to ask her all the time in case she gets resistant but I'm just waiting for the first accident! Haven't bothered to get any of us dressed yet on the assumption we'll probably need a change of clothes before long a test. goat company would be fab, what are your plans tomorrow?

funch sorry to see another hard night for you :( How are you fixed tomorrow too?

Looks like most people didn't have a gd night last night.

Last night was rubbish for me. We usually do last feed at 11pm but DS was up at 9.30! So fed him at 10.15 and he was bed by 11. Then we woke up at 1.30, 3.00, 5.45, 7.00!!!!! ShockHe's 16 weeks by the way! I wonder if that's because I had cereal for breakfast yesterday? I heard some babies don't go we'll with diary. I don't usually have cereal so I hope that's why.

Funchum when are u planning to go back to work? I don't know how to cope if DS still sleeps like this when I return to work!

Sorry for all the rubbish nights! It took me over an hour to get little man back to sleep - eventually put him down in his cot wide awake and Ewan and the projector eventually sent him off.

Aw envious of you guys meeting up - did you already know each other or have you met up before?
