Amey. Sorry about your LO dropping down the centiles. Easy to say try not to worry but at least you have a plan in place Smile
Knackered today as DD decided to do a three hourly night. Was so tired couldn't see to come on here! She's currently asleep so FX it's better.
Sleep well evwryone.... Grin

Ameybee · 19/12/2012 00:00

First feed since 830 here tho is a particularly lazy & sleepy one - wish he would take more milk.
Me & DH actually sat n ate tea together tonight - amazing.
heff did you have the coil fitted today? If it was today hope it went ok.

X

JRsandCoffee · 19/12/2012 00:23

Evening... Late feed going on here, slow at first but post nappy and unscheduled wardrobe change I have a Hoover attached to the favoured left boob!

HeffalumpsAndWoozles · 19/12/2012 00:25

amey so sorry to hear you're still feeling down but it sounds like your Hv is being supportive so I hope you're able to get things sorted and start to feel better soon.

I had my coil fitted this morning, it wasn't half as bad as I thought although the cramps afterwards were surprisingly strong they've gone now. Glad I did it after lots of umming & ahhing as now I can just forget about it. That is on the very rare occasion DH and I get 5 minutes to ourselves...!

Good to hear from you clums although not so good to hear you've been having bad nights :(

I've been trying to settle babylump since half 10. She fell asleep in the buggy downstairs but woke up when I moved her, had a few transfer fails after feeding and so now just waiting to try again.

Good nights all round fingers crossed!

MrsNPattz · 19/12/2012 01:04

First feed here - early for us but he went down early at half 8.

amey glad hv helped somewhat and that you have positive steps to take - try and keep that chin up. Loved your pic on FB tonight, my little man has that baby grow Smile

Thanks for replies, little man definitely prefers right at the moment! We have heaps of lotions and potions but not sure whether its best to use them or not?

Progress on the counselling front - I have a first assessment on Thursday and then my first proper appointment at the beginning of Jan!

second feed here so about to administer Gaviscon and hope for the best. Very tired!

amey your friend sounds fab. I hope you feel better very soon. Angry that your gp surgery can't fit you in sooner.

small I have no nap routine at all, let me know if you crack the secret!

Susieloo · 19/12/2012 03:14

2nd feed of the night and he's just done 10-30 till now with a minor wobble at one which I ignored, I've decided if he wakes up two hours after I've fed him I'm going to try his projector first. He's now happily gurgling to himself in his cot, hope he's not awake for too long.

Transfer 2 underway.....hope everyone else sleeping soundly!

Ameybee · 19/12/2012 04:34

Third feed here. I wish he would take a full feed when he wakes up. He didn't at 11 or 3. Just a lazy boy! Mummy is knackered tho! So glad DH is off Tomo so I can catch up x

Ameybee · 19/12/2012 05:10

I hate this time in the morning Confused x

MrsNPattz · 19/12/2012 06:38

Second feed here - I'm hoping it's not up time but it's a possibility as he went down so early!

It's so quiet here - I hope that's a good sign!

Horrendous night, too tired to post. We were up every hour Sad. He is like a newborn! Driving me nuts.

Clumsasaurus · 19/12/2012 08:34

Oh Green, that was us the past 2 nights. I spoke to our HV who suggested calpol at bedtime (just this once) and he slept! Just woke for 2 feeds! Not sure why it helped or if we just got lucky but you could try it?

Sending tea and biscuits xx

Smallgreenone · 19/12/2012 08:49

I'll try anything!!! Thanks clums
DH thinks he has become manipulative and is waking purely so I will bring him into our bed!!! I have said I don't think he's quite that clever yet but DH is convinced so much that he has offered to do all night wakings on Thursday night Grin. Not sure how he'll cope without boobs though I'll have to get busy with the pump!

Goatbongohohoandjinglejingle · 19/12/2012 09:04

Horrible night here too. Vocal from 2 am for no apparent reason and STILL won't sleep. He is usually down for a short nap around now!
We were supposed to go out but I am not even dressed yet...

StuntNun · 19/12/2012 09:12

I was too tired to post last night but we didn't have too bad a time: feeds at 11, 2, 5 and 7.30. If only he wouldn't scream so loud when he's having his nappy changed.

funchum8am · 19/12/2012 09:52

We had a terrible night too. DH and I watched the Great British Bakeoff Christmas special at 4am on iPlayer as she was wide awake and screamed if put on her crib. I am going to try the calpol!

she has whinged constantly since about 5am except when on boob too Angry

New plan is not to let her sleep too long in the afternoon as she was out more or less solidly from 3pm yesterday.

Sounds like we all had it bad last night, was there a full moon?!

MrsNPattz · 19/12/2012 11:15

amey I just got little man weighed and he has dropped down the centiles too. Hv said not to worry about it? But it's hard not to.

Sorry for all the bad nights - we fell asleep together until 09:55 so have had to go to clinic without a shower which I hate! Off for lunch later so will have to grab a quick shower when we get in.

How much has he dropped mrsn? Babybee has gone from 50th to 25th and now between 9th and 25th. Hard not to worry isn't it.
We just had an epic fail with bottle again. Think this is going to be a very slow process Confused x

StuntNun · 19/12/2012 14:57

They can drop a couple of centiles without concern, even if they drop more then it just means they need to be checked out. My DS1 dropped three and we were given dietary advice, DS2 dropped off the chart and was given supplements temporarily until he got back to his centile.

MrsNPattz · 19/12/2012 15:44

amey he has dropped from half way between the 25th and 50th to half way between the 9th and 25th! I don't really understand how it works, surely as long as he is putting weight on it's fine?

OP posts:
funchum8am · 19/12/2012 17:27

I have found getting the gaviscon into babyfunch a pain so am going to try mixing it with ebm and giving it in a bottle. means I have to get into a proper routine of expressing regularly which I am struggling with, plus she still refuses the bottle quite often Sad But it is another reason to persevere with the bottle thing, as of anyone needed one!

Ameybee · 19/12/2012 17:31

That's weird mrsn they are so similar although you are getting more sleep - jealous! Will let you know what HV says on 27th to me.

I didn't have my leg wax Confused and had to go to clinic today to have my 3rd deg tear checked (sorry if TMI) apparently I was very unlucky to have 3rd deg (had 2nd with DD) my chance of having one was 0.5% & I had non of risk factors. However DS was born at lightning speed. 1st stage was 37 mins and pushing was 6 seconds Blush I never even got on bed, gave birth standing up & DH almost missed it - he was born 5 mins after he got back from moving car!! IF I have any more consultant says I can choose c section if I want to but if I chose NVD then DH would need a lesson in childbirth (seriously) because it would prob happen so quick third time! What kind of deliveries did everyone have? (I love a good labour story!) x

I have to admit going back to the hospital made me have little butterflies of excitement in my tummy - weird I know when I'm having such a hard time with 2!! Hormones are strange! Xx

MrsNPattz · 19/12/2012 17:48

Yes they are amey! Please do, would be interesting to know. Hopefully you will start getting more sleep and it could all change for me!

My birth was quite quick too for a first (though nothing like yours)! I had a show at 2:30am on the Sunday morning, googled it and read it can take days for anything to happen afterwards so got snuggled up back in bed only for contractions to start straight away! I wasn't coping very well and phoned the hospital, eventually going in at about half 6 only to be told I was 1cm Hmm they gave me a Tenns machine and some strong paracetamol and we were home by 9, with me demanding an epidural and whatever else I could get my hands on when I went back. By half 10 I was feeling like I wanted to push and was screaming Blush hubby phoned the hospital 3 times and the midwife could here me so told us to come in again, then my waters broke and there was meconium in so would have had to go in anyway! I honestly thought I wasn't going to make it to the hospital but we made it and got there at half 11, and little man was born at half 12! No time for anything but gas and air. I hated hated hated the contractions, but handled it better when I started pushing because I was focused on something. That, and the first two weeks with a newborn, kind of put me off having another, but now I'm starting to want one........would you like a third?
