Well we are housebound. Just attempted taking DD to nursery (left DS with DH thank god) and slid all way down drive with DD in my arms wailing her head off, she was terrified! It was like a proper Ice rink! Scary! I'm meant to be driving to my mums in Nottingham today but will have to see what the weather is like.

Can't say I slept amazingly well between feeds for thinking about my brother. My mum is really upset so hoping the kids help take her mind off stuff.

Let us know how you get on with the bottles small.

DS has the cutest Xmas outfit on, stripy red leggings from next & a robin Xmas top and socks! So cute! X

MrsNPattz · 14/12/2012 12:28

Aw amey I really feel for you all - sending lots of positive thoughts!
I can't decide when to put Christmas outfits on but if you have then maybe I can start too Grin

Haven't heard from heff for a while, hope you are ok!

We coslept instead of taking her out in the car and again it worked well. Looks like the way forward but I wish DH would get the sofa bed out instead of sleeping on the sofa, he would get more sleep for work. I made it to a knitting group at 10am and got really good help with a baby cardi I started in 2011 which was for my niece. Now it may be finished in time for any younger sibling babyfunch may end up having! She was all cute and smily so is forgiven for the nighttime waking for now Smile

Sorry to hear of your bad night small, I totally sympathise.

heff are you out there? I am hoping to get to the sling meet on Monday so maybe see you there?

MrsNPattz · 14/12/2012 18:40

On my own tonight, hubby is off to his work Christmas party. I decided not to go as a) I can't drink and b) I can't wear eye make up and I feel as though I need both of these things for nights like that - Dutch courage and war paint haha so instead it's just me and little dude and a box of M&S salted caramel profiteroles - really yummy by the way! I really must go back to weight watchers after Christmas, a body control suit I ordered for SILs wedding in Feb came today and the medium won't even go over my thighs!! How are you getting on with it amey? Although you probably aren't thinking about that right now.

Please tell me if I'm being too forward but does anyone fancy linking up on Facebook?

And how are you feeling small?

HeffalumpsAndWoozles · 14/12/2012 19:42

Evening all, here I am I've been trying to keep up but I wrote a massive post yesterday only for it to get chewed up by the wifi goblins and by the time I noticed both DDs were demanding attention (how dare they, don't they know MNing is serious business... Wink )

Have had a busy couple of days, yesterday was my birthday, I have reached the grand old age of 27 Xmas Grin and am now coming to you via the medium of my brand new shiny iPad for which DH has earnt many brownie points! My mum babysat for an hour last night so DH & I could pop out for a drink which was lovely although I was falling asleep in my wine a bit.

Yesterday we went to a Christmas food market at Waddesdon Manor, I thought of you all as the food & drink really was pornographic! We had duck burgers with plum sauce, salmon & broccoli pie, handmade chilli chocolate, baklava, all manor of homemade Christmas puddings, award winning champagne, sausages in all shapes & sizes and of course mulled wine .

We've been to Wisley Gardens today in our waterproofs and spent about 4 hours jumping in puddles, I'm exhausted but somehow DD1 is still full of beans and babylump, who was an angel & slept all day, is now wide awake ready for the night shift!

amey I'm so sorry to read about your brother, what devastating news my thoughts are with you and your family and I hope he is able to get treatment very soon.

funch I've got a ring sling I'm meant to be returning on Monday but I'm considering just messaging them and paying or another month as I've not got the hang of it yet. Can't make my mind up!

mrsn I'll happily link up on Facebook (but you have to promise not to laugh at my dodgy photos!) pm me how to find you Xmas Smile

Smallgreenone · 14/12/2012 19:53

Happy birthday heff market sounds lush. Gosh haven't used the word lush in a while! I'm hoping for an iPad for Christmas have mentioned it many times to DH but he does sometimes miss my cues!
Baby small is currently sleeping and I'm wondering whether to start Xmas wrapping or go to bed.............
I'm on my own tonight too mrsn. DH is at his works do too and he is staying over and no doubt getting quite drunk so am probably better off on my own! I miss him though especially if baby small is going to play games like he did last night.
I'm happy to be on Facebook too.
amey hope you're ok, when will you get the results back? Am keeping fingers and toes crossed for good news for you.

Smallgreenone · 14/12/2012 19:54

Oh and we're in Christmas outfits here! Baby small was a snowman yesterday and an elf today!!

MrsNPattz · 14/12/2012 20:17

back to heff happy birthday for yesterday! Sounds like you have had an amazing time and all that food sounds gorgeous!! You are the same age as me, I was 27 in September! Ok I will PM you both but you can't laugh at mine either haha just thought it would be nice to put a face to the name be nosy Grin

Evening all! We are at my mums and babybee is asleep - on boob! He has fed so much today - my boobs have felt like rocks and are rather pammy like!
small he's seeing plastics on Thursday, so op will be after that then I guess a week or so, its a shame its over Xmas. I know loads about skin cancer after my cousin, but wish I didn't. Just keep hoping its not spread.

mrsn I've lost about 4lbs in 3 weeks on ww, its ok but I do find tracking a bit tedious, even on iPhone, the extra points for bf are handy when you just want fish fingers and chips for tea, cos we don't have loads of time to make wonderful healthy meals. Its designed to only lose 1lb per week tho - bit long for me!

I'm happy to Facebook too! Will pm you! X

Susieloo · 14/12/2012 21:07

Evening all, too tired to post but yes yes to fb, how do we do it? Night nightSmile

MrsNPattz · 14/12/2012 21:32

Susie I have added amey, if we start adding each other we all add each other eventually lol will PM you

Transfer fail here, it's absolutely wild outside and I think that's what woke him! The windows in the nursery aren't very good, they make a funny noise when it's windy so will have to get that sorted. He has fallen asleep on me again so hoping I won't have another transfer fail!

Tooodlepip · 14/12/2012 23:37

Hi everyone

I was here in sep gots loads of support during a tough time no one probably remembers me Grin anyway from this thread I ordered an Euan the dream sheep from amazon it was a waste of my £26 anyway it was used once literally does anyone want it?? I threw away the box so planning on just stuffing him in an envelope Wink but he is brand new. Anyway the offers there

Hope everyone getting more sleep now, my wee one had reflux which was why he was crying so much

funchum8am · 14/12/2012 23:57

Hi all, yes to Facebook, do I pm you mrsn?

First feed over, it is getting earlier each night not later!Sad

Glad you going out the problem toodlepip have you managed to solve the reflux and if so, how??

I went to m&s but couldn't find the profiteroles Sad. but found salted caramel cheesecakes instead so they are in the fridge Grin

The lady next door popped by today to point out I had left my keys in the door Shock. and also to say she was having signs of going into labour (she is 2 days overdue). All v exciting, babyfunch will soon have a friend to play with!

Also the hospital have written back to acknowledge my complaint about my induction being badly handled and were very apologetic. They offered a meeting in Jan so I can discuss it with them...should be 'interesting'! hope the manager I see has earplugs in case I get crossGrin

Susieloo · 14/12/2012 23:58

Hi toodle, nice to hear from you, hope your lo is sleeping better for you. Love the idea of ewan in an envelope!! I've got a projector thing that I use but I'm sure someone will snap him upSmile

This is second feed of the night really after I woke him up trying to see if he was cold!!

Mrsn I've sent you a message!

MissingMyBaubles · 15/12/2012 00:05

MissingMyBaubles · 15/12/2012 00:10

Oops! Posted slightly too soon. Eyes stinging already so sorry for not name checking this time.

Ameybee · 15/12/2012 00:11

First feed here - why do they wait till you're in a proper deep sleep to wake up?!? I hope he sleeps ok in the travel cot! He laughed at his grandads singing tonight which was hilarious! Bless him, he cried twice when I took him off my dad!

Really hope he goes down soon for a few hours, I never realise quite how tired I am till I nod off for half an hour!
Xx

Ameybee · 15/12/2012 00:13

toodle I was going to buy a ewan for Xmas for baby bee so I would happily adopt him if he's looking for a new home still? Xx

Tooodlepip · 15/12/2012 00:26

Yes of course Amy I just wish I had kept the box now ok pm me your adress and I shall post him Monday Smile

Tooodlepip · 15/12/2012 00:31

Funchum he has been crying quite a bit since he was born they gave him ranitidine I think it's helping he is much more smiley these days and the dreaded bed time settling seems much shorter [ grin] I could always hear fizzing in his throat and he would bring up a lot of sick and then water also. It's been tough I'm on my own dh works abroad but I can see things picking up now I can't believe he is 14 weeks this week.

Thanks for asking I'm off to bed now hope everyone else is Smile

Goatbongohohoandjinglejingle · 15/12/2012 01:01

Greetings all! Yes to fb, though I don't actually think there is a picture of me on it, only Kid! (He definitely did not get his photogenic-ness from me!)
Happy birthday, heff! Sounds like you had a lovely day. The Christmas market sounds AMAZING. Mmmmmm...
We tried to go out today, but the trains wouldn't let us Xmas Angry spent ages on a cold and windy platform waiting for a suspended train, trying to shield Kid from being elbowed in the face by people stampeding for said nonexistent train Xmas Hmm. Finally managed to get back home without having got where we were going. I think we are both slightly getting cabin fever after two weeks of not going anywhere much thanks to Kid's horrible cold. We are going to Kent for the day tomorrow and I am ridiculously excited. Also probably plain ridiculous, for the mountain of stuff I am taking for Kid just for the day!
