Noah Donohoe was found lifeless in a storm drain on June 27, 2020. A post-mortem report declared that he died as a result of drowning. Well, because the job of the police is to look at every possible and impossible, there has been a growing number of Belfast residents wanting to know if there was a racial motivation in the death of Noah Donohoe. People want to know the truth. The more the family of Noah and public are cautioned against making so-called unsubstantiated statements, the more they hunger for the truth.The PSNI is bungling this sad case

This 14 year old set off on his bike one Sunday, two years ago now, to meet a friend. They were working on a Duke of Edinburgh award.

Six days later, his naked body was found a kilometre inside an unlocked storm drain, in a part of Belfast he did not frequent.

Apparently, the police announced that there was no foul play involved, on the very day that his body was found. Even before an autopsy took place. There still has been no Inquest.

The police version of events is that: Noah fell from his bike, sustained a head injury, removed his clothes in confusion, ditched his bike, wandered off naked into a part of the city he would not usually go into, and somehow ended up drowned a kilometre inside an ( unusually) unlocked storm drain.

I understand that Noah was of African/Irish heritage. Police have never considered a racial element in his death and disappearance. Another schoolboy a fortnight earlier, had been attacked and chased by a group of youths whilst cycling. He escaped from them only after running three miles to safety. Police did not investigate any links between the incidents.

His mother's demand for answers from the Police Service Northern Ireland appears to have been blocked by them. There is a petition requesting the release of these files.

IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM FIONA & NIAMH THIS EVENING - PLEASE SEE ATTACHED IMAGES:

As we already knew, at short notice this week and without any explanation, the coroner decided to livestream tomorrow's hearing instead of Fiona, Niamh and their legal team attending the court in person. The coroner has now, at such very short notice today, cancelled the hearing tomorrow. The reason given is that his JUNIOR counsel is unable to attend. Please note that the JUNIOR barrister does not always attend preliminary hearings and it is the senior counsel who speaks on the coroner's behalf. We can come to our own conclusions about why the coroner has now chosen not to go ahead tomorrow at all, as he surely could have done. However a number of important issues have been conveyed to Fiona and Niamh today during a consultation with their legal team, which throw more light on why the coroner seeks to avoid addressing them tomorrow. An urgent rescheduling before the summer recess has been requested, but as yet they do not know when that will be.

There has been a refusal to release Legal Aid funds for the family's own expert witnesses for Noah. Expert witnesses are essential and the coroner has already instructed his own expert witnesses.

This has all obviously devastated Fiona and Niamh, after an already traumatic week including anniversaries for Noah, and having to mentally prepare for tomorrow. But they are the strongest of mothers and women, and they are fighting for their beloved and beautiful Noah. Especially with our support, they will not be beaten.

Fiona and Niamh ask that the peaceful show of support at Langanside Courts, Belfast at 2pm tomorrow still goes ahead. Please attend if you can. 💙

This is heart breaking. They are being let down over and over and over and over again.

Conservative MP for North West Cambridgeshire Shailesh Vara has been appointed new Northern Ireland Secretary replacing Brandon Lewis, who has resigned from Boris Johnson's cabinet. For how long this appointment will last with the current Johnson resignation/Tory Party shenanigans, and whether this will change anything in Noah's case and with the PII, who knows at this point. The petition and the fight for truth and justice for Noah and Fiona continues. 💙

Some people might have seen the hand-painted stones made for Noah and placed around to remember him. One of them has just made it to the top of Kilimanjaro. His dreams here on Earth were cut brutally short, but his name has reached the peak of the highest free-standing mountain in the world, with thanks to Gooner on Twitter and Collette Deery 💙

There is a new Secretary of State for Northern Ireland after Brandon Lewis MP resigned from Boris Johnson's government this week. We can only hope and pray that this proves to be positive for Noah's case. 💙

Young Noah Donohoe just didn't stand a chance, when you look at the hate openly displayed to this day by some members of society. They are a hardened, hate-filled minority of a community, but what is being done by the PSNI and the good majority of that community to stop them?

The images are of bonfires only a couple of days ago - in the place where Noah disappeared and died - you can see the sectarian and misogynist hate speech graffiti, including 'ALL TAIGS ARE TARGETS', together with the burning of flags, election posters, images of the Pope, and also effigies were burnt. Taig is a derogatory term for Catholic people. Some Mumsnetters will already be aware that this was the word also used by PSNI officers to mock the body of a person who died by suicide, after they had moved, posed, unclothed and exposed, photographed and videoed him, then photoshopped speech bubbles on and shared those images - this was also in Belfast, where Noah disappeared and died.

Just like Noah's disappearance and death, I can't imagine that the PSNI will put too much time and energy into investigating this either:

Unfortunately a very vocal minority of people have chosen to complain to MNHQ about the threads about Noah. Whether they are motivated by a lack of compassion, by bigotry, by racism, a combination of the three or something else, I can only guess. Noah's mummy is trolled on social media, so this has come as no surprise, although it is a disappointment on here. They won't win. Justice for Noah. 💙

Rather than just clicking away from the threads, ignoring them or hiding them, it seems that some people would rather make complaints about them and personal attacks against me in posts and/or reports. Thank you for posting and for your support @MrsMitford3 . We will carry on raising awareness and keeping Noah's name in the hearts and minds of the public until the day that the truth is told for Fiona and Niamh, there is justice for Noah and other children are safe. That is what Noah's family want, need and deserve. 💙
