Black "don't" crack!

I know. I know this doesn't apply to every Black person but it's true (in my experience) that a lot of Black people tend to look stunning, gorgeous and naturally look younger than their age.

I'd have posted pictures of regular Black people but I can't for privacy reasons so I'm posting Black celebrities with public image gotten from Google. Whether there's been work done or not, there's no denying the natural youthfulness and beauty still popping.

I'm white, but was pulled in by the title, I hadn't heard this phrase since I was working with a woman who was talking about her kids, I guessed she was a similar age to me. I was so wrong, her KIDS were a similar age to me! That's when she told me that "black don't crack"! She was gorgeous!

DH and I have often noticed how well black people of both sexes age.
Sun damage is obviously very aging.

When it comes to black people, I can't tell the age, so what I think they are, I then add on 15 to 20 years. It's funny because black teenagers look a few years older than what they are, in some cases. But older black people look a lot, lot younger. My husband is from Nigeria and he is knocking on the door of 40, but could pass for 30. And my father in law is in his late 70s but could pass for late 50s or early 60s.

Can't believe the ages of some of these celebs above. Although they have all been around a while and I guess they are probably those ages, looking at them you would think a lot of the ones in their late 50s could be mid or even early 40s. I always thought Patrick from eastenders looked really good for his age.

Honestly, blessed by genetics and a robust awareness of moisturising (memories of being slathered in my Mum's perfumed Astral moisturiser from a tender age!)

Black don't crack. It's a well-known and easily-observed phenomenon especially if you don't already know the age or if we're comparing. But I didn't want to make this a comparison thread or pit people against each other.

Pictures don't do them justice by the way. The youthfulness and melanin pops even more in real life or videos, especially home videos without filters or a lot of makeup.

I would've had tons more examples if I was doing regular people, fresh-faced and au natural. Couldn’t win a 'guess the age' game if you tried.

Was going to do 3 more posts (9 photos) then done. MN won't stop me after I've done the googling work. Will do post them tomorrow.

I get the thread op, right now a similar thread is going on aibu praising white women who don’t look their age and comments are generally positive. Minute someone tries to praise black women all hell breaks lose- proves my feeling than MN is majority white even in BMN

Astral is the best! The formula seems the same I use it on my child now.

I loved the thread on here a while back about skin creams. Took me back to my grandmother and her astral. Still using it here!

OP is saying in general black don't crack... as in all black people (or the majority) OP has used celebs that look youthful as we cannot upload photos of ourselves. It's not just the beauty.... its that black people look more youthful in general. But they are beautiful though 😍 MAYBE YOUR not familiar with these people. Even I don't know who some of these people are so I find it hard to believe you know they have lack of skills without knowing who they actually are.

Who do you think looks beautiful from the pictures? Because OP has listed quite a few men and women take your pick 🤔

Zoe Saldana is 43 but she could pass for 30. Michelle Obama looks amazing for her age. Halle Berry too.
