Hermya- you've seen the local papers, this has that much potential

Though I did once see 'man nearly getsbit by dog' ....

Nymph I was going to say, I have seen the local papers and seriously they have nothing better to do than to be extreamly nosy and unhelpful. I know it doesn't help as if whatever it is does get that far, then people would be chin wagging for ages. But you know the truth of the matter and I hope that whatever happens you'll remember that and keep your family close to you.

AbFabT · 13/07/2010 22:32

nymph, sorry to hear you are having troubles. If you need to talk, can you make it more vague/add some false details to throw us off the scent, and namechange?
Or CAT one of us? Hope you are ok.

nymphadora · 13/07/2010 23:11

Will think it over.trying to put a positive spin on theworst ATM & works until we stop talking. Think I'm too negative person on my own

Hi nymph, could Not read and not post- I hope what ever it. Is goes away or gets sorted. If we can help- even if it's a rant with details changed then go ahead- it sounds like you need someone to talk to about it

nymphadora · 14/07/2010 07:36

Might get more info today. At least contingency plan info.

Didn't sleep too great though screaming with cramp may have contributed as did baby playing at 3am!

Nymph, I hope whatever it is can be resolved quickly as you've had and have enough going on with your pregnancy to worry about. Big hugs.

Ds woke at 5.30. Fortunately aftr I'd given him a bit of food and drink dp came and relieved me so went back to bed at about 6.15. Just got up to find ds went back to his bed of his own accord sometime shortly after I did and is still asleep now. About to enjoy peaceful brekkie! And there was me thinking dp had been a hero all morning...

floozietoozie · 14/07/2010 09:33

Ah - spoke too soon. Noise from above .

Hermya321 · 14/07/2010 09:46

Nymph I hope it all gets resolved peacefully.

Floozie Hope DS was well rested as is yourself.

piesey · 14/07/2010 10:45

Nymph I'm sorry to hear that you are stressed - I really hope whatever it is goes away or can be sorted out. Hope you are ok and sending you a hug.

Mamjo I know what you mean about the rest of Mumsnet - but I do admit it's a bit of a guilty pleasure to read some of the more argumentative threads!

I'm 25 weeks today and couldn';t get my HIP grant last week when I saw the midwife but will try and get it tomorrow at the hospital while I'm there. As far as I know it is from 25 weeks.

DH came in very late and very drunk last night so I'm not in a very good mood with him for waking me up and stinking like a brewery all night! If we had a separate bedroom from the living room he would have been on the sofa, but when it's the same room and the sofa is about 2 meters away from the bed, there's not much point! Really hope we can move soon...

I have tub of M&S chocolate brownies on my desk which I'm looking forward to having later!

sam12 · 14/07/2010 11:43

nymph hope that you manage to get things sorted out and try to stay positive. (I know that is easier said than done)

I also had an unsettled night due to cramps. Also woke my dh up in a panic because I thought my memory had gone because I couldn't remember what I had been doing the past two hours- he rather grumpily pointed out that I had been asleep and so hadn't been doing anything

nymphadora · 14/07/2010 12:42

I think a lot of people find the main board hard on here especially when you start on the ttc/pregnancy ones, they are quite different.

I started on the rough stuff so I found the ttc/pregnancy stuff v gentle in comparison!

Sam12

Sore today so spending my day on the sofa! I AM SO BORED!!!

Very jealous of the chocolate brownies!

Nymph Hope you are feeling slightly more positive today!

I started on the main boards too, but it was 3 or so years ago and I am sure they have got more and more (cant think of the right word) aggressive?! Do like to read them though and occasionally put a comment or two in!

nymphadora · 14/07/2010 13:01

Got some news. Think we can relax for a bit not out of the woods but got some time to plan rather than thrown in the deep shit.

Phew!!!

Glad to hear things are looking a bit brighter Nymph fingers crossed it will all blow over.

mamjo · 14/07/2010 13:05

Hi Ladies, just had my 280ml of lucozade SMS now sat waiting for the glucose test. It did say no need to fast but now I'm worried that I ate a sandwich just before drinking the orange stuff. Is everyone else doing this?

AbFabT · 14/07/2010 13:10

That's great, nymph. Hope it just gets better! Phew!!!

AbFabT · 14/07/2010 13:11

mamjo, what glucose test?

RooBear · 14/07/2010 13:18

ah found you all again! I got my HIP form at 24wks, my mw predated it for me so I cn send it off tomorrow! fingers crossed for you nymph

lilmissmummy · 14/07/2010 13:22

I am doing the glucose test the week after next. Mine says I have to fast 12 hour before the test. Then on arrival I have a blood test, then they give me some lucozade and take another blood sample 2 hours later. not looking forward to it!

lilmissmummy · 14/07/2010 13:23

Hi roo nice to see you again!

mamjo · 14/07/2010 13:24

Glad things are looking a bit brighter for you now nymph

abfab it's a test for gestational diabetes that they do at about 28 weeks. It may just be fir those at higher risk? I was overweight ( BMI 31) when I found out I was pg so maybe that puts me in a high risk group!

mamjo · 14/07/2010 13:27

Ooh lil I just have to drink the lucozade at home and then go to the hospital and they take a blood sample 1 hour later. Strange how the test differs so much.

AbFabT · 14/07/2010 13:34

Thanks, mamjo. They haven't mentioned it to me, and I had my 28-week appt yesterday. I'll read my notes again - am having my bloods taken tomorrow (wish they'd just do it at the same time as the appt - grrr!)
Sounds like a nice excuse to drink Lucozade though - yum! Hope it all comes back ok for you.
