Oh Dilly look after yourself, over in the pregnancy section theres the SPD sofa, theres some useful links there or just google the pelvic partnership. What have Doc said to do?

ILoveGregoryHouse · 12/07/2010 18:33

I have CANKLES! FFS!

And my belly button has popped out.

Other than that, life is lovely.

Hermya321 · 12/07/2010 20:49

ILGH Oh you poor thing!

AbFabT · 12/07/2010 22:58

Sorry to hear you have SPD, Dilly.

And cankles, ILGH - oh no! Did you not have them with your previous bumps? Am sure they'll go down soon - not long to go.

28 weeks for me today, so 12 or so to go! And entering the third trimester, according to most sources.

DillyDora · 13/07/2010 08:16

Bonjour Lovelies, blimey, I thought finding about the SPD was a b*mmer but then started throwing up yesterday morning and simply did not stop! I can't remember the last time I was so sick and have no idea how anyone with hyperemesis got through it so respect to you. Finally stopped at about 7 last night.

Flip - right in the wars, eh?

Cheers Hermya I'll look for the SPD sofa and sorry about the cankles ILGH, hope they'll go down - could they be related to hot weather? (Not sure if you're in the UK yet)

DillyDora · 13/07/2010 08:33

Hermya please could you send me the link to the SPD sofa thread - I could only find one that was full up...and I'm being all pathetic

ILoveGregoryHouse · 13/07/2010 08:35

My ankles have reappeared. It was bloody hot yesterday and I had DS3 at a party so was on my feet. Flying home tonight. I hate flying so have an ear seed in my ear from the accupuncturist.

Dilly so sorry you have SPD. There lots of support on the sofa though and lots of things you can try to manage the pain.

Seashells TENS machines are great. Had one for the non-water part of all three births and delivered DS3 with it on, turned up full. Only problem I had with it was getting in the car to go to hospital with DS1, DH held the control unit while I got into the seat and knocked it up to full by accident. Cue much screaming in the street at 7am.

Hermya321 · 13/07/2010 11:21

Dilly I'm on my phone at the moment, so I'll have to send it to you later on.

I worked a very long day yesterday and now have achey feet. Have located a box at work and now have my feet up. I'm hoping that I don't look like I'm being lazy and that I'm looking all serious and hard working. Even with my feet up and on mumsnet .

lilmissmummy · 13/07/2010 11:23

Sorry to hear that you are falling apart dilly

ILGH hope your flight is okay. Very jealous about your popped out belly button though!

My SPD is not too bad at the moment touch wood, still waiting for an appointment with the physio (only been waiting 9 weeks)

Feeling v down at the moment - got a nasty feeling DH work is going to ask us to relocate too.

Called tax credits today, I waited on the phone for 18 minutes only to be told that my date of birth was incorrect and that I should go back and check it (ummm I think I know my date of birth, I've had it for 30 years) she then put the phone down. After crying for 5 minutes (very hormonal at the moment(and pathetic)) I then called them back and spoke to a guy who told me that I should have claimed earlier and I could only have it back dated 3 months and if I had done that then we would not have to be reapplying!... trying to be brave

TENS machines are great - would highly recommend trying one!

littleoldme · 13/07/2010 15:21

dilly - I have support belt that the hosp physios gave me. It's too small for me now. If you think it will fit you are welcome to it, I'm certainly not having anymore after this. I'm about a size 14 and quite big already as this is my second. I reckon will be fine for you now if you are a 12 ish ?

DillyDora · 13/07/2010 15:38

Ooh, cheers, Littleold I'm off on hols tomorrow (not sure about the wisdom of that!)and if there's no news from the physios by the time I get back I might take you up on that.

Sorry about the tax credits people lilmiss that was unnecessarily mean...

Hermya321 · 13/07/2010 16:16

I went for my twenty five week check and asked for my health in pregnancy grant form. They said they didn't give them out until 28 weeks. I said that everything I'd read told me I could get it from 25 weeks, I got a shrug in reply. What the hells the point in that!

DillyDora · 13/07/2010 16:19

Hermya is that even right? I was sure it was 25 weeks, that's when I got mine.

BackAgain · 13/07/2010 16:28

Just a flying visit to say Hermya I had my 25 week check today and picked up my Health in Pregnancy form and you are right all the documentation says available from 25 weeks

Been away so slowly catching up on all the posts and hope to post properly soon

AbFabT · 13/07/2010 16:36

Hermya, I got mine at 25 weeks. Sorry they were being annoying with yours.

lilmiss, aargh for you too re your tax credits. Why do people like to make life difficult???!

Back from my 28-week m/w appointment. Heartbeat great, energy great (how she measured that, I don't know, but that's what she said!), but belly length measuring slightly on the small side, but borderline concerning, so she's not worried yet, but asked me to come in again in two weeks as opposed to three to check growth. It's just as likely my bump is small because I did so much exercise before we got pregnant (Yoga, Pilates, Abs especially) that my stomach muscles are strong, and also very possible the baby is simply nestling at the back of me - which is actually exactly what the sonographer reported a few weeks ago at my scan. So, not overly concerned, but been told to monitor the movement and if I am worried, to call and they'll scan me. Plus she said that as it's my first, it's not overly concerning her either, but just to be on the extra-cautious side, it's worth checking me sooner rather than later.

nymphadora · 13/07/2010 17:32

Hi just caught up a few days worth! Been to consultant this am she is quite happy to leave me how I am now as we have to concentrate on baby. Just make sure I don't over do it etc etc. Am staying on 2 week appts but alternate ones with hosp MW.

Booked my tour of maternity ward for September.

Got my grant form. They asked if I had it yet then gave me it, so sorry Hermya your MW was talking bollocks.

Can't think what else for now

mamjo · 13/07/2010 19:05

Hi all, I have been busy for a while and haven't had a chance to get on MN but have just had a look at some of the discussion threads and have decided that I am quite scared by other mumsnetters, there are some vicious overopinionated mummy's out there! So I scurried back off to the comfort of you lovely ladies!

Anyway I hope you are all ok! Sorry to hear about the SPD Dilly, I was also diagnosed this morning but I kind of guessed that last week. So squidge up on the sofa and make room for 1 more. On the + side it did get me a parking space at last.

I was also told today that I couldn't have the form fir the £190. I am 27 weeks. Will see another MW tomorrow so will try again!

nymphadora · 13/07/2010 19:25

We are on the edge of a possibly major crisis at the moment. I can't talk about it here & I can't talk to my friends as most are involved. I can't talk to dh cos it's bad enough for him without my upsets too. I don't know what to do

OP posts:
mamjo · 13/07/2010 19:31

Nymph - I know you can't talk about itbut is there anything we can do to help?

Hermya321 · 13/07/2010 19:35

Oh dear Nymph that doesn't sound good. I hope you're ok. Is it something that you can speak about without going into specifics?

On the form front, I rang the maternity unit and they're going to send one out for me.

nymphadora · 13/07/2010 19:51

It's the not knowing if/when it will happen. Possibly this week, possibly sept/ oct poss not at all. Can't plan either way. Can't put any contingency plans in place or anything.

Hate it

Last pregnancy was spoilt by my xh and I saw this one as a chance to do everything properly but don't know if I can now.

Sat at beach ATM dh at work & I need to pick up dds soon.need to get it out before I see them.

OP posts:
Hermya321 · 13/07/2010 20:19

Oh no, it sounds like it's a biggie whatever it is. I'm sorry that you're going through this. Try not to let whatever it is spoil your pregnancy. If it involves your friends maybe it's best to let whatever it is play out and leave them to it. Unless you are directly involved all you can really do is to offer support and look after yourself.

nymphadora · 13/07/2010 21:01

It involves dh & us but my friends are potentially influencing it. IYSWIM I wish I could be clearer but it's too identifiable on here & living in a small town.

lilmissmummy · 13/07/2010 21:23

nymph sorry to hear you have a problem and a major one by the sounds of it. I hope you can find someone in RL that you can talk to about it! Just take it one step at a time! We will be here for a virtual hug and cuppa!

Hermya how annoying is that? when is your next appointment? Maybe you should just make one for 28 weeks just to pick up the form!

I forgot to make a 24 week appointment so I have one on the 22nd (I think I will be 26 or 27 weeks (sorry brain doesnt work! ))

Mamjo some of mumsnet is quite scary, generally the people on the pregnancy section and a couple of the other sections are quite nice. I try and stay away (as much as possible - I do get lured in occasionally) from AIBU, chat and politics! I too feel comforted in our little section!

I have got over my crying from this morning (mostly) I set up a thread about it in pregnancy and I feel better knowing other people do it too!

Sorry to hear about the new SPD club joiners! It is so rubbish! I hoovered this afternoon (even though I am not supposed to) and now I can barely walk! Serves me right I guess

Hermya321 · 13/07/2010 21:33

Dilly SPD sofa over here Dilly

Nymph Hmmm yeah I can see why'd you do that, I've only been in this area a while but it does surprise me how everyone seems to know everybody else and everyones mothers/brothers/sisters Aunt and what they've been upto.
