Hi All, or should that be Bonsoir? Back from our German/French trip on Friday. It was great fun though my SPD doesn't love cars very much or trains when I am standing waiting for them to stop fully or...horror of horrors...lying on the beach! O well.. Was reading all about all the exercise you do and am so jealous, I really miss it but the yoga teacher is strict in her instructions about how to manage SPD pain and she's right, it works, right down to changing my shoes so ... there it is for a while. I'm going back to aqua aerobics for preggers birds though as I think that will be ok, and the yoga of course.

Glad everyone's mostly ok, when are you having your growth scan AbFab? Everyone in Germany went on about how weeny I am still - it's just cos I'm long in the body, I don't pay 'em no mind. Like you said, I'd only worry if the mw said I should.

All well otherwise, lots of comedy holiday moments (we didn't book anything in advance - just went where the wind took us which is daft when you're pg and sore in the pelvis! But it was a laugh)

Nice to hear about the houses, we're having bub in with us as the spare room is for the DSSs... and I'm working till 38 weeks, SPD permitting (and it will just have to permit as I need the money!)

Have a lovely Sat evening all!
xxx

AbFabT · 24/07/2010 23:39

Congratulations on your son, BackAgain.

Bonsoir, Dilly! Gkad you had a great time, though sorry the SPD wasn't behaving.

No growth scan planned yet - I have a m/w appointment on Monday when she is just going to measure my bump, and then take it from there. Baby's been wriggling, so I am taking this as a good sign. Think baby knows their daddy's voice - when my DH talks to the bump, I am convinced there are extra wriggles going on! Truly!

Meanbeansmum · 25/07/2010 09:27

Hi ladies!!!

All is fine here, 31 +2 weeks. Looking forward to a growth scan on friday

I hope all mums and bumps are well.xx

Hermya321 · 25/07/2010 11:58

Dilly I'm glad you had a good time on your holiday, sounds like a right laugh.

Abfab Mine does that as well, Dh will talk to him and there'll be a pause and then he'll get so excited he'll be wriggling away for England.

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 25/07/2010 14:37

hello everyone!!! Had a crazy busy 3.5 weeks- hen do, holiday, work, visiting mum etc etc... And only a brief break before the onslaught of more weddings hen dos and visits with friends- cramming it all in before bump arrives!

With all that going on there is no chance of an. Exercise regime!! Impressive that some of you can lol

Good to hear you are all getting on ok, I'm 31 weeks now, can't believe it

Off to read the thread properly and catch up on everyone's news xxx

Tyson86 · 25/07/2010 18:12

Wow cant believe some of you are in your 31st week, im only 29+2 weeks.

Dilly glad you had a good holiday.

Very jealous of your growth scans, would like to have one at about 34/5 weeks.

Had a shopping moment today, bought nightie to give birth in, maternity pants/ pads/breast pads and 2 maternity bras.
Also convinced my mum to knit me 2 warm cardigans for Sophie when shes just been born. The ones in the shops dont seem wrm enough. We got some beautiful pink glitter wool that isnt itchy, its great.

shieldbug · 26/07/2010 10:35

tyson I'm only 28+2 so even further behind. Just as well as I still haven't bought a thing. I was given some newborn vests yesterday by dh's Nana, so at least sproglet has something to wear.Have an enormous lists of things to do and buy but nothing ticked off yet!

dilly welcome back. Glad you had a good holiday.

meanbeans good to hear from you again.Good luck for the scan on Friday.

AbFab and Hermya Isn't it cool when the baby recognises their Dad's voice? Sproglet does the same- there's a little pause then it wriggles and kicks with excitement. I went to see Toy Story on Saturday (v. good btw) and sproglet absolutely loved it. It jiggled and wriggled throughout the whole film and was even still a bit excited the next morning! Of course, all this movement probably doesn't bode well for a calm, sleepy baby, but never mind.

RooBear · 26/07/2010 12:50

only 27wks here, seems to be dragging now.....

DillyDora · 26/07/2010 15:12

I'm with RooBear only 27 weeks...ooooh it's a long time, pregnancy!

Loving all these wriggly babies, Toby enjoyed Sherlock Holmes very much last night if the movement was anything to go by!

Cardies sound nice tyson but LOL at shieldbug's little one in no more than vest and nappy! We haven't really shopped yet but are being offered more and more things which is very kind of people

OK, AbFab glad to hear there will be more measuring. I'm seeing the mw Monday so hoping I'll be the 'right' size as well.

Have physio class for SPD tmrw (that was quick!) rather than individual appt, it's a 2 hour class though so should be good.

Nymph did the awful thing resolve itself?

dontstopmenow · 26/07/2010 15:14

Trying to get organised here, got DS's old clothes from attic yesterday so washing the white babygrow's and vests now as we don't know if its a boy or girl yet so won't do the blue stuff until we know! Am feeling a little more organised now. Only a little bit though!

I figure am 30 weeks today. Whoop. DS born at 34 weeks so am going to try and get everything done in the next 4 weeks just in case!

AbFabT · 26/07/2010 15:30

Well done on your shopping spree, Tyson! Sounds like you had a productive time!

Still got a fair few things to get here, but putting it off if possible until we get the flooring sorted, as there's already too much stuff we'll have to move about when that happens.

shieldbug, I am loving it when this baby hear's daddy's voice and does some wriggles just for him. Makes me really happy!

30 weeks here, doesn't feel like it's dragging at all - feels like it's racing along at a crazy old speed! Just got measured, and m/w said I was fine, not worried, so I can relax! Phew! Heard heartbeat, again, fine. Hurrah!
Good luck for yours, Dilly.

shieldbug · 26/07/2010 15:35

dontstopmenow it's scary to think we could be having the first births so soon. I feel like 30 weeks is a bit of a milestone, I suppose because most of our births will be at 30something weeks. Well done with your organisation!

dilly I only have one nappy (it was a freebie)so far, so sproglet will just be in a vest unless I get my act together!

nymphadora · 26/07/2010 16:08

dilly no not yet. Not goingto be great resolve but should know more by the end of this week.

Cot coming tomorrow but apart from that I have some boosters for the nappies( no nappies yet!). Going to get in loft next week to see what we have in there. Need to do it soon otherwise I'm dependant on dh doing it as my hips are getting worse. Struggledwithstairs at work , hoping physio referral comes through quickly. Seeing MW( not consultant ) on Weds so will ask for tips there too.

Hermya321 · 26/07/2010 16:16

Abfab Glad you had a good midwifes appointment.

Dilly It was really good wasn't it, found it ironic that they used the same style of music that the movie did. I've never seen the original series, but I expect that they'll have put some references to it in there as well.

We're nearly done with baby things, I've just started on my cloth nappy buying and I've got to get some cot bedding as well.

From then on, it'll be pretty much bits and bobs.

sam12 · 26/07/2010 16:25

Hi all. 29 weeks today! Been to see mw for check up this morning- all going fine. Some protein in my urine so she sent sample to hospital and I've got to go back next week. Declined my 28 weeks blood test so I had a wobble about being a terrible, selfish mother but both dh and mw very supportive so that eased my mind a little.

We went to a market at the weekend and spotted a mothercare Spin pram- brand new- so snapped it up at a bargain price Dh loves it and keeps showing everyone all the features- but I have spoilt his fun and taken it to my dad's because I am a superstitious fool!! Also got a moses basket so feeling more organised now

Hope everyone else is doing well

DillyDora · 26/07/2010 16:45

Hermya the whole spiel about the mobile phone was based on a spiel Holmes did about a pocket watch in one of the original stories - I must check if it's a Study in Scarlet (I'm such a nerd....) I was most pleased with it all, very clever

Ooh well done on the pram Sam

Elsa123 · 26/07/2010 16:58

[jealous] about your bargain spin Sam12 well done!
I have energy today!!! Therefore, with all your talk of buying stuff etc I feel quite excited about joining in! DH and I are taking next Monday off and are going to go to Kiddicare in Peterborough. Its annoyingly not open on Sundays and we had every hope of both leaving work early on a Friday to get there in time, but its never come to anything.

I've decided from now on to leave work at 5 unless there's a huge drama just for my own ebnergy and sanity....therefore byeee!! no internet at home . Love to you all x x

Elsa123 · 26/07/2010 16:59

aah- that would be Sam12 not jealous.....

Hermya321 · 26/07/2010 20:07

I finally heard about my fit note at work, they've reduced my hours down now and I'm back at the Docs in a few weeks to see how I'm getting on.

They kept mentioning to go off on early maternity leave, but personally I want to hang on until I absolutely have to. I'd rather have that time with my LO than sat watching the TV.

Dilly Oh right, makes sense.

Elsa That sounds like fun.

Sam Great news on the pram.

tiredfeet · 26/07/2010 20:34

hello all, I'm impressed how much chat goes on in just a few days while I'm away. Just been down to Devon for a few days, stayed in a beautiful hotel in gorgeous surroundings and did some walking and lots of relaxing and ate lots of really lovely food. I was feeling a bit glum about heading home but then when I got home some bits I had ordered for baby had been delivered and it really cheered me up, I go all soft at the thought of actually using them! Still waiting for the pram to get here though, feeling a bit impatient, I think it will start to feel even more real when the pram is sat in the garage.

sam great news about the pram, well spotted!

elsa I'm so pleased you have finally got a midwife, I hope the appointment goes well tomorrow.

sheildbug mine got properly excited when we went to see toy story as well, my tummy ached by the end!

hello to everyone else too, feeling very tired now, I got bad reflux last night and it kept me awake for ages. Been and stocked up on gaviscon now so I'm planning on an early night. It was funny last night though as every time I started feeling really annoyed at how bad I felt, the baby would do a little wriggle or kick and I would have to forgive it, so manipulative already

Meanbeansmum · 26/07/2010 21:01

tiredfeet your break sounds lovely!

sam great news on your pram! We went for a M&P sola in orchid, I LOVE it!

nymph, A new cot sounds lovely!!! I haven't thought about a cot yet...whoops lol. I am quite organised I'm just drowning in picking sofas and seven seater cars at the moment.

I hope everyone is well, I'm getting loads of BH and feeling a bit down too atm, just finding everything a struggle, especially with the kids home 24/7......they are hard to keep entertained lol.

Meanbeansmum · 26/07/2010 21:03

Woohoo, check me out highlighting names!!!! (had to keep up seen as you are all so organised on here now lol ;P).x

Hermya321 · 26/07/2010 21:44

Well done Meansbeans .

I've just been on Bespoke baby room (I feel so posh) and I was looking at their ouch pouches and pondering if I would need such a thing for the changing bag (my hormones say yes, my practical side says 'don't be so stupid' I'm undecided on which has won yet) and I googled them to see if I could find them elsewhere and google gave me these instead.

Took me right back to dance classes and sore feet, somehow those days seem like an age ago.

Elsa123 · 27/07/2010 10:26

They look quite good! Would stop the ballet dancer club foot thing....

I think getting a mini first aid kit for the changing bag is a great idea Hermya, not at all hormonal- its not like you'd stock it with everything under the sun and the amount of times I cut myself or fall over when out and about means I'd need it as much as the baby!

Midwife appointment in an hour!!! Nipping home early to hoover... My DH said not to let the dogs get in the way- can't believe he thought they would- they're not even going to be allowed out of the kitchen as I have the world's nosiest spaniel and he'd have his head straight in the midwfe's bag and would definitely steal something- probably something vaguely embarrassing too....

shieldbug · 27/07/2010 10:30

HermyaI remember getting bleeding toes from pointe dancing (in my early teens). These would have been fab! The original ouch pouches look cute, but my practical side would say to use a plastic bag! I'm hopeless because I always choose the cheapskate option!

tiredfeet Glad you had a good break. Devon is so beautiful. Hope you managed to get good sleep last night.

Abfab good news at your mw appt. That's a relief. I've got a consultants appt tomorrow so hopefully all will be well.

I haven't seen the new Sherlock Holmes programme yet, so I hope it's still on catch up. No spoilers please!
