Advice needed re names. Name combo I like would mean having the initials JCB. Is this OK or a bit daft.

Muser · 23/07/2010 13:56

I just went to McDonalds for lunch and had a cheeseburger and fries. It was amazing. Best lunch all week. Mmmmmm.

SilverSky · 23/07/2010 14:07

I thought today would never get here. I am still knacked. Despite going to bed about 930. Woke up for a pee at 3.20am then was awake for a bit, then woke up with vicious crammpage in both bloody legs causing me to scream. I did note that Him Indoors did not even stir ! Fecker. Then I slept thru til 630am. Yet my body tells me I need more sleep.

I too have more FJ than normale. Hooray for pantyliners they are the saviours of preggo gussets everywhere.

In horsey news we haz progress. Lady enquired at yard about a horse to ride, on the off chance as she was driving by and voilà she is test driving the beast next week. This lady doesn't work and likes the looking after side o things as well so it could work out. Assuming she can ride otherwise my smart savvy equine may get tad cheeky. Lady rang today to ask if she can come up this weekend to bring in from field, groom and feed then chuck back out. So we will see. Ain't counting my chickens yet.

box I look forward to joining you for some 4 wheel following the local hunt!

iggs typical that junior has decided to stay put. Think ski's reco of going somewhere remote with no supplies and no phone signal should do the trick.

I so don't want to be at work. Only 8+ weeks left. Quite

ChoChoSan · 23/07/2010 14:09

Hi all, Just a quick pop in to say scan fine - the women was rubbish tho and not interested in pains etc. bitch!

Thinking of Iggy

SilverSky · 23/07/2010 14:10

Quite how I will last til my ML is anyone's guess.

muser yum. I want chocolate. Now.

I wouldn't worry about intials okie.

Muser · 23/07/2010 14:14

I do not understand the obsession with initials on the baby names board. Who ever thinks about initials? How often do we write out our full names? Bizarre. Go for it Okie.

OkieCokie · 23/07/2010 14:14

Pleased scan was fine cho. I guess you just have to take the dismissing of your pain concerns as a sign of reassurance?

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 23/07/2010 14:26

Delighted to hear that the scan was fine cho - the radio silence was worrying me! Great to know that all's well. As okie points out, the sonographer's failure to engage on the whole niggling pain issue is actually probably a Good Sign. As annoying as it probably was... A lot of aches and pains do seem to be normal. For example, I was seriously not enamoured by my discovery of "bump stitch" this morning, but meh, you have to take it in your stride I guess. If there were cysts, she would have seen them.

honey hope your having fun at the spa and that your mono-tankini went down a treat!

okie I also think initials don't matter and if you're taking the middle name into account in that, then all the more so (middle names don't matter at all IMHO). So, "j" eh? Jebediah?

iggy how'd it go at the doc? Sending you pineapply, nipple stimulating vibes! Yeah baby!

SkiHorseWonAWean · 23/07/2010 15:42

I agree the whole initials/middle name thing is taken waaaay too seriously - as muser says - how often do you actually use your full entire name? Really think someone form checking at the bank gives a fuck? Bear's middle name and surname has a sh-sh combo - will only cause a problem if he's forced to use his full name ALL the time. And he has a lisp!

silver I hope all goes well with your lady who lunches! Could prove good for you!

I have a kind of pro/con thing going on with my capable rider right now. I was hoping that she'd be able to help out riding wise over the next few months - at the same time I wasn't looking forward to telling her to bugger off when I'm back on form. She's moving back to the UK in December so the timing is perfect - although I do lose a friend.

rollerbaby · 23/07/2010 16:06

Hello hello

I am writing quickly before meeting with severe heartburn so apols for brevity.

Yesterday was ace. 2 hour massage, manicure, sunbathing outside (they even have a beach there all set up with volleyball net). Nice lunch (I ate the most) and hunky men in shorts to look at. All in, a great day. Was fkg knacke4red though due to previous night 4am wake up call as hairy moo had severe diarrhoea on bedroom carpet seemingly from nurofen episode on monday. My carpet cleaning skills have been tested to the max. Nappies got to be a breeze after that shit.

My mum lent me a cossie - and she is not small!! Couldn't bring myself to wear bikini and no time to shop!

BON WEEKEND

SkaterGrrrrl · 23/07/2010 16:37

Sounds good honey!

Backinthebox · 23/07/2010 18:10

How knackered am I now! Have been in Lahndan, on the Eye, then on a boat, then round the Aquarium. Out and back on a train. The excitement of it all has completely frazzled DD. VAG I know what you mean about the train - There I am, 34 weeks pregnant with a fractious tiny child and a big bag, and there were no two seats together. So after walking down the entire length of the train glaring at people I eventually chose a table seat where DD could sit across the aisle from me. The other seats were occupied by people busy on their phones or laptops, and I just breezily said 'hello, sorry to impose my daughter on you - amazing isn't it the number of people who won't get up for an 8 month pregnant woman with a toddler? She's a bit tired so might wail a bit - but don't worry, I can watch her from here.' The scramble to rearrange the carriage so that the only person sitting next to DD was me was amazing.

Yesterday I had the reflexology lady, who was still worried about how tight my hips are. She did some flexing work to try and start to loosen them (but not too much just yet) and this morning - hey presto, no sore ribs! And a desparate need to wee ALL THE TIME. So I reckon she must have done something, and the baby has settled a bit lower in my newly widened pelvis. My widened pelvis, btw, which is now too wide for any of my old belts

iggypiggy · 23/07/2010 18:24

Not much news, I am 1.5 cm dilated... Baby in right position, still 2/5 engaged... Have appt booked for tues to talk about options, but dr is hoping something will happen before then...

I am ok, much more cheerful now... Sorry for selfishness of posts...

PerfectDromedary · 23/07/2010 18:28

Don't apologise, igster. We is all waiting wiv baited breath to find out what's happening. Good news that you're dilated, yes?

Muser · 23/07/2010 18:39

Good news on the dilation.

I had The Guilt on the train backinthebox. Train was full but it so happened MrM was on it (this sometimes happens, he gets on a stop earlier than me) so I made him give me his seat as I was feeling puketastic. Sit down and notice heavily, obviously pregnant woman. Feel guilt for not offering seat but assume someone else will. Men sat around me stare at her bump - which is clearly baby and not fat - and ignore her. I cannot bring myself to stand up due to the waves of sickness and hope she heard me saying to MrM to give his poor pregnant wife a seat.

SkiHorseWonAWean · 23/07/2010 18:48

Congratulations iggy, you are currently more dilated than I was after labour.

SilverSky · 23/07/2010 19:11

skizer lady that lunches is looking for her own nag at some point and I said that is fine cos once I am back to riding and diy-ing I'd like to have my hoss all to meself and to this she replied "could all work out for the best!". Not holding breath but feeling bit better about stuff. Current sharer has reported hoss has more cuts. Think hossio is secretly self harmer.

cho some sonographers are lovely others are just dogs. My first was lovely and Him Indoors and I came away all dewy eyed and really happy. Second sonographer I could have slapped.

muse I thought if you today as I passed McDs and I fought the urge to get a pre dinner snackette. Instead I came straight home and scoffed pizza with salad, lemon fool and large bag of toffee popcorn. All before 6pm. Now I feel sick. So I am washing it down with a caffeine free diet coke.

box the eye is cool.

iggs can I switch my bet to be next Weds? Don't worry about the posts being "me me me". Milk it dear girl as soon they will all be about your little bubbalicious ball of cutesville.

honey gotta love the furbabies.

OkieCokie · 23/07/2010 21:17

Silver Friday night fun? Is that at home with a bowl of spag bol and a sky plussed Dragon's Den? Oh, that is just me then.

rollerbaby · 23/07/2010 21:21

dont worry i iz also here. just had dinner out and now think i have cystitis from not drinking enough today. Downing fizzy water by the litre.

Iggs have you had that baby yet?!

Boxy people on trains should be shot. I take my hat off to you for that day out. Christ it's an effort to get from Soho to Battersea without moaning.

Also, in other news... I FOUND my tankini bottoms under desk at work!!! Who put them there then?????

OkieCokie · 23/07/2010 21:39

Did you have them on then slip them off under your desk you dirty moo!

SilverSky · 23/07/2010 21:53

okie pizza and BB!

OkieCokie · 23/07/2010 21:56

Mr C is sitting on the other sofa with the 2 cats on his knee and asks me if I can get up and get him a glass of water saying he can't because the cats are comfy. So, I get up and he shouts to me in the kitchen can I get 2 glasses of water, one for him and one for the cats as otherwise they will drink his! FFS.

rollerbaby · 23/07/2010 21:57

Ha ha ha!

SilverSky · 23/07/2010 22:47

What! Does he drink out of saucers or summat?

iggypiggy · 24/07/2010 07:18

Ok. Today I have news. Just a quick post between contractions... I have been awake with them since about 3am... They are now about every 5 mins, and about 30 secs long. Prob won't post again for a while... But as ever who knows how long it will be from now...
