Hi,

My first child is due in Nov and I live in Greenwich. I would love to get together with some other local mums to be maybe compare bumps, pregnancy and chat over a coffee?

Anyone else locally due this Autumn?

Good morning ladies

I'm still at home trying to get rid of this nasty sorethroat and cold. It is taking such a long time to get rid of...

Beau: that pain on your buttocks could be sciatica or pelvic girdle pain. Have a look at this website to learn more about PGP:
www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/antenatalhealth/physicalhealth/pelvicgirdlepain/

I hope it is not too painful though!

londonbump: I will stop working at the end of October at 36 weeks approx, taking the remaining of my holidays first and then I will commence maternity leave. To be honest it all depends on how you feel. If you feel strong enough the best thing is to work as late as possible, but we do tend to get more tired and uncomfortable by the end, well I'm beginning to feel that way already!!!!! Blush. You can always tell your employer the date that you are planning to go on mat but if things change then it will start earlier. We cannot really predict how we will feel in two months time.

See you all on the 12th. We need to decide time and place.

Hi All

Just a quick post to say...

Isabelle Grace was born yesterday, 3rd Sept, at 10am.
I had her at home, as planned and somehow managed to get away without having any stitches!
She weighs 8lbs 9oz and is feeding very well Grin

SecretArdilla · 04/09/2010 15:02

Many congratulations Stick.

I'm really pleased that everything went well and the Isabelle is feeding very well.

Hopefully we'll see you soon?

londonbump · 05/09/2010 20:04

On another note!

I'm looking forward to next Sunday!

Especially seeing you all again and meeting your partners.

Shall we say 1:30pm by the band stand in Greenwich park?

Bring what you want to eat/drink/sit on/ play with ....... All Welcome.

If the weather is rubbish then I think Tamsyn's idea is perfect and we'll meet at the Plume of Feathers
19 Park Vista
London SE10 9LZ
020 8858 1661

It is just at the bottom of the park fairly near Maze Hill train Station.

See you all next Sunday (fingers crossed for sunshine!)

Wooohoooo and yayayayay Stick!!!

Welcome to the world Isabelle Grace!! Baby Isabelle most definitely made it to being a September baby. So glad that you managed the homebirth (and sans stitches too!) and that she is feeding so well..

SecretArdilla- hope the sore throat and nasty bug has cleared up? Also, thanks you you and Londonbump for the physio recommendation! I am soon going to take that up. A marathon traipsing session in Oxford Street yesterday (John Lewis and Mamas & Papas gave me ours of browsing joy!)has left me wincing in pain today..

Sooo looking forward to meeting you all next Sunday. Will be a bit odd not being there with my other half, but I'm a big girl :D

Have a good week everyone!!

Hi all

I have been to the doctor today who has diagnosed respiratory infection and acute laryngitis, hence my throat is so sore and I lost my voice. She has prescribed antibiotics, Amoxicillin which is supposed to be a safe antibiotic in pregnancy and I am in two minds of whether to take them or not.

I'm hoping to be well enough to see you all on Sunday.

podmumlet · 06/09/2010 14:54

Oh my word - that sounds really nasty! I have no advise about taking antibiotics when pregnant, but I would share your hesitation.

I guess the thing to consider is what impact the infection might have on baby, or having an immune system that is struggling for even longer (especially as the seasons are changing and lots of new colds and flus are going to surface)..

Whatever you decide to do, I do hope you feel better soon and that you rest lots and lots.

Hoping that we do get to see you on Sunday!

Hi guys, I've been away for a while and clearly lots has happened! Congratulations Stick on Isabelle's arrival, lovely name :-) and glad all went well! Hope we can all meet her soon.

Unfortunately I'm not able to make Sunday as I'll be away again, but hope you guys enjoy and that the weather holds out for you!

Secret - yuck, you poor thing that sounds horrible. All I can say is lemon and honey drinks for the throat are very soothing. Lemon is a good antiseptic on its own. I also had an infection a while ago and the doctor prescribed me Amoxicillian. I took it and the infection cleared up. The doctors are very careful about what they will prescribe you when pregnant. Hope you are resting lots and start feeling a bit better soon.

Bit of a silly question - but where exactly is the bandstand? Is it next to the outdoor cafe near the observatory at the top of he hill?

londonbump · 12/09/2010 11:39

It is near there. If you walk down the main entrance from blackheath (the road) towards the cafe it is on the right.

If you zoom into this map
www.royalparks.org.uk/parks/greenwich_park/

you can see it with the blue top near the cafe (on the triangular piece of grass!)

Hope that helps! Give me a call if you get lost.

Girls - Great weather for the picnic! Hope it holds! See you soon
