Ooh, no, that sounds nasty, SPD sounds horrible altogether. Maybe try the swimming / music / light options to get little one to turn round.

Have you read that whole article? Have just seen the bit about lying upside down on the ironing board made me chuckle!!

Boodstress · 19/03/2010 17:53

Lots of helpful tips, all of which I am going to try this weekend. Too funny that they remind you to keep the ironing board closed before getting on it

thedollshouse · 19/03/2010 19:01

Lol at the ironing board. My first thought was but what if you fall off.

PrincessTweetz · 19/03/2010 20:33

flybynight, I have packed a bag for hospital as well...it really is quite basic though, so hoping I deffo don't go in as I think I might not have enough stuff to keep me going...I didn't want to double up on all the things I may or may not need in labour, so what i did was do a delivery bag for baby, so whether I have him at home or hospital, everything he needs is in his changing bag, and do a bag for me with clean pjs, few pants, clean bra, flannel, towel, toothbrush, mini toiletries (from xmas!!), & hairbrush....things like maternity pads, breast pads, and nipple cream are in the changing bag/baby bag..these are things that I'll need if I was out and about...although not that quick after delivery lol, so thought I'd keep it where it will need to be on a daily basis....plus I have the proper supplies of things in the right places around the house.
My BH are outragerous today...my mum thought I was gonna go into labour this afternoon, but I never obv!!!! i don't really remember them with dd, but I am oh so aware of them this time...glad you lot are the same...at least I know I'm (partly) normal!!

wow, 2 and 4 times a week......blimey, I prefer a good book at the moment although contemplating it this week for induction purposes....sigh, who said romance was dead eh?
Hospital bag wise I found lucozade a lifesaver last time, had a raging thirst and it replaces salt etc so you feel a bit better straight away.
37 weeks today , please come soon as cant sleep, walk, move etc any more.........
xx

ReneRusso · 20/03/2010 12:18

wizbit, is your mum still lurking? what does she think of your sexual prowess? If my mum's around, sorry ma, I've let you down, only done it about 5 times in the whole pregnancy [lame]

Hi Wizbit I'm due on the 7th, you're due on the 23rd, so I should have my boy before you, but who knows??! I'm so happy to be on maternity leave at last!
Have zero energy today, I burst into tears when DD asked me (for the third time) to get her raincoat out of the car and I was still trying to sort out laundry. DH made me sit down and have a cup of tea and he took DD out into the garden to dig for worms since she'd been singing a song about a worm called Wigglywoo ever since she woke up. So that was nice, sitting on the sofa looking out at the two of them in the drizzle.
I walked into town with DD to spend her world book day token, it's probably about a quarter of a mile to the bookshop so not far but she took forever walking in her little wellies, and then the only book she wanted to buy was one we already have .
Dying to hear what's going on with rtuff and hoops!

Which hospital are you going to Wizbit? I know you're near-ish to me. Not Colchester by any chance? If so would be good to know about car parking charge dodges - cost us a blooming fortune with DS1!

Boodstress · 20/03/2010 18:48

We get a parking card for when you are in proper labour - I can't believe they would make you pay for that bit - it could be days!!

DwayneDibbley thanks so much for the offer, I have booked a session with a reflexologist near me who has had success with the Moxy stick - I would be way too scared myself. The baby keeps wriggling out of position and then slipping back to the head position in my right rib side, so sore. I have til Wednesday week to move the lil' one so fingers crossed.

Wizbit, I think you're all square on the fitness front, I shouldn't worry

I had a bit of a scare last night. Went to the loo and found that my pad was covered in blood. Nearly gave dh a heart attack! Turns out the blood wasn't coming from internally but was coming from the awful skin tags that I have (sorry for tmi!). Thankfully I realised this before I booked into the hospital otherwise it could have proved very embrassing!

Gave me a fright and has finally motivated me to get the bloody bag packed today!

Snowtiger · 21/03/2010 10:56

Phew, you must be relieved dollshouse, good to know it's got you moving on the hospital bag though - I felt much better once I knew that was in the car and ready to go!

Well, I'm officially 37 weeks now, have had a hot curry, raspberry leaf tablets, geranium oil, hot baths, done pressure point massage & reflexology and even (gasp!) had sex!! Now all I can do is wait for little one to decide when he's ready to appear I suppose...

Really enjoying this beautiful sunshine today - aren't we lucky having spring babies?! DS1 was born at the start of autumn and despite that usually being my favourite season it was a bloody miserable experience, going into dark evenings with a little one. Summer should be much more fun!

thedollshouse · 21/03/2010 12:48

I'm 37 weeks today as well snowtiger. With the hot currys and raspberry leaf tablets etc how long is it supposed to be before they start to take effect? I don't want to go past my due date but in an ideal world I would like the baby to arrive around his due date, I don't feel quite ready yet!

how are the skin tags now thedollshouse hope you are ok.

despite making the list i still havent actually finished packing my hospital bag iv started it so thats something at least ha.

ds has decided he doesnt want to wear clothes today and is running about naked, its soooo cute ha. im still in my pj's and plan to stay in them all day and have a lazy sunday.

thedollshouse that does sound scary! Your skin tags must very very sore, ouch. Must admit to obsessively checking knickers for a show every time I go to the loo. DH went out to get a curry last night and I was half way through it I suddenly thought, hope this doesn't bring on labour! But despite very hot curry, raspberry leaves and I think one attempt at due date sex last time, DD was 10 days late.
Dwayne my DD is totally adorable . This morning she announced she was going to share her toys with her brother, and her bedroom as well. Ah, how sweet, I thought. But then at lunchtime where she had to share a pizza with me and DH it was all NO! NO! NO!, murderous looks at the two of us and then a massive strop .
LOL at the stitched-up boob monster. Yup, that about sums it up.
Right, off to plant snowdrops in the sunshine now.

lineky · 21/03/2010 16:35

37 weeks today and am def ready to meet sproglet I got my copy of the mumsnet guide to babies yeaterday and have been immersed in it ever since muchto DH's amusement. I am finding it hard to deal with the boredom at the mo - just want to get on with it. Everyone telling me to enjoy last days of freedom etc but like many of you ladies am being battered from the inside and finding it hard to sleep. Wonder who is going to pop next???????

PrincessTweetz · 21/03/2010 19:49

Woohoo!!!! 1 week left for me, yay!!!! I tried to walk to my mum's today...well I did walk, but dd walked that slow that I doubt it would have brought anything on anyway...but then just as I was leaving my mum's house (to get in the car!!!!), dd decided to run off down the street, with me running after her!! My mum shouted don't run, but I never really had a choice.....nothing happened by the way, but as I was strapping her in the seat, my mum decided to tell me how funny I looked running down the street, even demonstrating what my bum looked like!!!!!! I'm glad she had a giggle....by the way, I don't drive, and dp was just standing by the car as this haoppened haha! Men!!
Dollshouse. I hope ur not too sore x
I had a summer baby with dd, and absolutely loved the later stages of pregnancy as it was sooo much easier to dress comfy with my bump in the warm weather...I feel far frumpier and am going to be verrrrry envious of my sister and niece who are expecting babies July this year...just know they are going to look adorable in the summer! I am however in agreement with snowtiger about the spring..by the time I'm ready to be out and about in the days after having Jude, the spring weather will well and truly be here, and it will be nice to wake up to the birds singing, and the washing on the line, blowing freely in the breeze.....remind me of this when though when I'm grouchy through lack of sleep

tostaky · 21/03/2010 20:15

Agree with snowtiger and Princesstweetz on the spring baby... DS was born in November and it wasnt much fun...

Went to the zoo today and walked for at least 3-4 hours... I cant move anymore now!!!

I keep forgetting to drink my raspberry leaf tea... must ask DP to prepare me some!
also i still need to do my hospital bag... then again i dont really want to give birth before next saturday so i think im in kind of denial about it all!!! 10 days to go though!

PrincessTweetz · 22/03/2010 08:05

tostaky I don't really want to give birth until I've tackled my ironing pile....again lol!!! I just can't bring myself to do it tho!!

Neeko · 22/03/2010 09:48

Hi all. I'm due tomorrow! EEK! Been having plenty of pains but tehy aren't going anywhere.

Loving all the talk of spring babies. Hope it all turns out as beautiful as you lot are describing - it's pouring here at the moment!

Thedollshouse that sounds painful and scary. Hope you're ok.

For the first timers, my show last time was just lots and lots of EWCM. I'd no idea that even counted as a show until the MW told me and I never saw my mucous plug either.

What lovely conversations we have
