Congratulations Hoops!! At last!!! Glad to hear BF is going well for you both, that's fab. Benjamin Scott is a lovely name x
Mistymoo which way up is baby now???

Jennysbean · 05/04/2010 19:10

hoops that's great news, well done and happy things are so smooth for you - you deserve it after last few weeks.
Located my raspberry leaf capsules and have started taking them...........
Going to see Kick Ass tonight to see if some extreme comic book violence can get things going.....

Congratulations Hoops, at last, I love the name benjamin, my brother has used it for his son born last year so I can't put it on our boy list. All these good experiences are so great to hear - I hope we are not due a crappy one when it comes to my turn. Did a tour of the hospital this morning and the midwives were like 'hurry up, we are sooo quiet', they were all sitting there drinking tea, twiddling their thumbs. There were NO labours. Almost burst into tears with emotion, given all my memories from last time (at another hospital), it may be cause I am so near, all the other women looked fine. I was getting constant practice contractions the whole way round and was thinking how handy it would be to go into labour there Anyway, keep 'em coming ladies and anyone who likes to write in detail - I LOVE listening to birth stories

Mistymoo · 05/04/2010 20:09

Congratulations Hoopsandbaby! (I've renamed you )

Well my ECV was successful. Baby is now head down after one successful attempt at turning it. Now it's just a matter of waiting. Will have another scan next week to make sure that it's still the right way.

thedollshouse · 05/04/2010 20:34

Congratulations Hoops! Welcome to the world little Benjamin.

Must be a relief Misty that the baby has turned.

Wonder if there will be any more arrivals before the weekend is out.

I've had a second show this evening but just read a message from a friend who had a show 3 weeks before anything happened so I'm not telling real life friends because I don't think it means much. I'm not good at secrets which is what makes anonymous forums useful!
I am just starting on Raspberry leaf caps but find it a chore to remember.

Bettymum · 06/04/2010 08:03

Wizbit I'm just eating my breakfast here - sperm in raspberry leaf tea???! green vomit face.

Bettymum · 06/04/2010 08:06

Hoops just checked out your pictures, I love the little pursed up lips one, sweet! You look very pleased and serene for someone who had a baby 10 minutes previously .

Neeko · 06/04/2010 09:20

hi all. typing whilst feeding so apologies for all the errors. Been very tired due to clot but otherwise fine. DD2 was upall night after I ate garlic bread so avoid that if you're bf.

Congrats to Nic and Snowtiger and I'm loving all the gorgeous pics. Next time someone updates the list can they change the date on mine to the 29th? thanks.

For those of you desperately waiting, think seriously about tryig sex. At least 3 MW at the hospital said sex is the only thing that works.

HoopsAndBaby · 06/04/2010 09:37

bettymum pethedine is a wonderful thing!! I was still drugged up and didn't really know where or who I was!!

thedollshouse · 06/04/2010 11:01

Hoops Benjamin is lovely.

Neeko I want this baby out but I really don't think I could face sex, I'm not sure it is even possible at the moment, I almost got stuck coming out of the shower this morning! I think I prefer Michael McIntyre's suggestion of sperm in raspberry tea.

I was actually drinking my raspberry leaf tea whilst watching MM and spat half of it across the room he made me laugh so much. He was actually very funny I was hoping the belly laughs might bring on some contractions but no such luck!

Bettymum · 06/04/2010 11:17

Hoops I had two shots of pethidine when DD was born...and gas and air...and epidural...la la la la off with the fairies .

Great to hear about all the new babies and the pictures are great. I've barely posted on this thread, but have lurked a bit and it's great that so many April babies are here already!

I'm due on Thursday with DS2, but midwife has been and done a sweep and I'm already 4cm so that was great to hear! Have only had braxton hicks and no pain yet, so let's hope that things kick off soon. I think DH is getting a bit scared of going through it all again (had a bad time last time) but I'm really excited and hope that we have a better experience this time round.

Good luck everyone with your new/impending arrivals!

tostaky · 06/04/2010 13:04

40+4 and i have contractions for one minute every 5 minutes... BUT it has taken me 36hrs of "pre-labour" to get here so i dont know how long this is going to take....
not been to hosp yet though, too scared they keep me!!

Mistymoo · 06/04/2010 13:17

That's positive tostaky. All the best

thedollshouse · 06/04/2010 13:25

Good luck tostaky.

chegirlWILLbeserene · 06/04/2010 13:32

Dont know what is going on with me at the moment.

Been getting pains for days. Started off like ordinary BHs but more like contractions now. Stopped for a few hours.

I have been up since the early hours cleaning and sorting (I mean since the very early hours!).

Just had a nap. Cant go anywhere because I just feel too close to things happening.

But it could be weeks yet.

This has been going on for a few days now and I am getting fed up!

Usually I wake up in the middle of the night with mild contractions, they get stronger and between 3 days and 6 hrs later I have a baby! (3 days was my first needless to say).

Not used to this messing about

Jennysbean · 06/04/2010 13:48

Chegirl that sounds very interesting and promising!
With you on the mad cleaning - the first thing I did this morning before a cuppa was to sort out the cupboard with all the cleaning products in it! Why???
Eastendmummy not lomg for you either, I tentaively asked my MW what the plan is if I go over - appt with her at 40 +4 and then a sweep at 41+4........NO!!!!!!! I cant go that far surely....
Looking forward to your news Tostaky - wont be long now it sounds.
jealous...moi...?

Chegirl thats does sound promising, I think there will be a few more announcements shortly!

I, on the other hand have a feeling that I may be pregnant for ever, I don't feel any differently. Even my BH which were very intense last week seem to have slowed right down. On the positive side my heartburn has gone so perhaps that means the baby is now fully engaged?

Bettymum · 06/04/2010 20:07

Feeling very nauseous tonight, can only manage toast for dinner. DS is due tomorrow. Is he on his way??
