rots Blah blah biotech investment shizz. And I was just about to buy myself a T shirt saying 'I used to be a big shot but then I had a baybee'.

Knickers... is now when I admit that I am still wearing the super comfy M&S granny knickers that I bought after my c-section? MrP, he so luckee!

Speaking of MrP, I just have to share this: we're watching TV and there's an ad for the JLS album. I decide to educate him on 'yoof culture' and ask him 'Have you heard of this band?' He looks up at the telly as the JLS logo is on the screen (but if you've seen it it looks kind of like JIS) so he says 'Jizz? A band called Jizz?' So in between clutching my sides and weeping from laughter I try to correct him, only to then inform him that their big hit is 'Beat Again'! I don't think he believes me.

Pony that's brilliant news and they must obviously rate you to want you knowing that you won't be there to complete the project! More money in the bank for a ponee!

I haz just ordered this : www.nursingbra-shop.co.uk/ShowDetails.asp?id=124

ski that is so preeeeeeeeeeety. Looks like regular bra.

Getting into my jimjams tonight, Husband blatantly ogling breasts which are huge and I is only 7 weeks/8 weeks tomorrow. Has stupid smirk on his face when I know that the thought going through his mind is "wait til I get my hands on those puppies".

I am currently wearing a full cup ugly mo fo bra that is u/w. When I start to explode out of that one, I'll invest in something else.

WelshSectionA that is AMAY-ZING! Wish I could get a new job. Alas is stuck. Wonder how soon I can take my maternity? Is Monday a bit keen do you think? Baybee due 21/22 October!!

rollerbaby · 03/03/2010 20:59

Today is the first day I feel properly preggers. Boobs feel mahoussive, nearly fainted in a hot room at work and feel icky sicky. Oh good. Also shrieked at mr moo for drinking 3/4 wine bottle in front of me. Selfish oaf.

rollerbaby · 03/03/2010 21:04

Skater we are going posh side at the C&W. 1st appointment on Monday, so can let you know how I get on if you like. I felt bit more reassured after many, many NHS horror stories and fact that they have neo natal unit on hand just in case... plus good food in and outside the hospital!

GrumpyGasper · 03/03/2010 21:16

great news pony well done!

I have spent most of this evening on work work. I had a brainwave - a great creative concept that would lead to a huge project. Why am I suddenly inspired with three months at work to go? And why did I share the idea with the big boss...? I already have too much to do before this baybee comes.

Bet my idea gets put into practise while I'm away and someone else gets all the credit

Nose now like a dripping tap. Voice almost gone. Please keep your eyes peeled for my immune system, It's out there somewhere and I would very much like it back. Preferably before my weekend away, when I am supposed to be sociable.

Ponymum · 03/03/2010 22:12

ski Thanks for the link to that bra shop. I just bought a lovely Hot Milk one for myself!

Weep, weep at suggestion of "money for ponee". If only...

grasper I think it must be a creative time. Last time I was preggers I wrote a book! Sorry about drain pipe nose. Not nice.

skihorse · 04/03/2010 08:00

pony It was our carrots who brought that shop to our attention and I think she's used the Hot Milk stuff in the past - they're so pretty, usually non-underwired stuff brings back painful memories of being dragged around Contessa with my mum aged 12. It's just the name "Hot Milk" makes me a bit - It's all a bit "yummy mummy I make 80k a year and still find the time for 4 hour sex sessions with my Adonis husband."

I liked the free P&P from that bra shop, another shop I looked at was a couple of quid cheaper but wanted 5.95 to send a fecking bra 300 miles to me.

I haz uploaded diffed photos to my PC (both taken this week) and it strikes me that I look more pregnant than I feel. Will update my profile toot sweet.

Ski you is not really showing much at all! So can you still wear most of your normal clothes??

Actually not that jealous as am liking my maternity clothes muchly....

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 04/03/2010 09:33

Skater & honey - I'll be at the C&W too! - though in the prole side where I belong. Will you wave through the partition occasionally? It seems nice there so far (booking in appt and 12wk scan)

givecarrotsachance · 04/03/2010 09:58

ski you hath been talking under false pretences. You is much tinier than me (forget bump, I'm talking arms, legs, bum - all the things that matter ). And .

Must get more exercise...

Hotmilk bra is gorgeous. Good choice. I don't mind the name - at least they're trying to be sexy and it's sort of saying a spade's a spade - it's milk, it's ok, and your boobs are still fabulous. Better than something like "flabbyboobsbras". Which would be more accurate, but less of a seller, I should think.

For me, the only good thing about LC stopping feeding was that I could go into nice bras. Back then (wistful sigh) there wasn't anything like this. I'm really looking forward to getting some! I think it's a bit early yet for nursing bras though, TBH ski. Chances are your size will change again. I can't remember when they say to buy them but there's a certain point where the estimate of your boob size will be about right, before your rib cage expands too much as the baby fills your entire abdominal and chest cavity.

givecarrotsachance · 04/03/2010 10:03

honey well at least you get more "proof" of it! Sorry you're feeling poorly

poniez well done! Many congrats

ski I've not tried the hotmilk bras but a friend loves them (and she always looks really lovely despite having 3 kids under 6)...

Cosmosis · 04/03/2010 10:08

rots I think my book says 36wks for nursing bras.

Pones well done on the job!

iggypiggy · 04/03/2010 10:09

I held a 7 week old baby yesterday - is first time I haz held one so young.

Cosmosis · 04/03/2010 10:15

iggs was it cute and snuggly, or did it scream like a demon??

iggypiggy · 04/03/2010 10:16

cossi it was cute and snuggly - and tiny still only 9 pounds!

skihorse · 04/03/2010 10:20

rots You're right... I probably will need to get another bra closer to the time but I was just desperate to get one which (hopefully) fits better than anything I can get here and it's non-underwired and pretty - all good in my book. You can actually get D+ cups here, but these seem to be built for women who are 7' tall and the shoulder straps need to be cut & re-sewn as I'm only 5'4". Anyway I will gladly report back on fit, style & anything else you all want to know about that bra shop.

iggy I am today in pre-pregnancy skirt, but tbh I think it just goes to show how badly my normal skirts must fit. I've spoken before about big bum to waist ratio meaning that I frequently have a baggy waist problem... I'm unable to find varied suppliers of hourglass shaped clothing although Etam is pretty good. I'm very flat first thing in the morning but by 9pm look as though I'm on my way to the delivery room. Don't forget too that my starting weight was much heavier than all of you so proportionally I've only put on a small percentage of weight. Swings & roundabouts innit, I will probably expand like mad next week.

skihorse · 04/03/2010 10:22

iggy What? A real baybee? I don't think I could be trusted with a real baybee. Oh noes.

Is switty going to poke her head around the door yet? She's had multiple BFPs you know, she just won't admit it and I want to talk to her about differ stuff sur le continent as I may have a surprise good find for her.

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 04/03/2010 10:23

My mum was making me laugh by telling me 'how huge' she got when pregnant with me (her first) - how she was 'like a blimp' etc etc... so I asked how heavy and she said 'I got up to 11 stone by the end!'

Which is v. funny... and shows how much bigger i am than her although i am 4 inches taller...

Cosmosis · 04/03/2010 10:30

ski I have the same problem re waist fitting, due to cyclist thighs most of my waists are too big.

I still cannot at all get my head around the fact there is a baybee in my tummee. TGO and I call it the parasite or the monster - thanks to adverts on some shitty sky docu channel for a programme called 'monsters inside me'.

At what point does one have to admit that you are actually going to end up with a real live baybee??? sometime around its 5th birhtday????

skihorse · 04/03/2010 10:36

iggy Yes, Margot Ledbetter was the same. She was absolutely enormous with me - nearly 10 stone! (She's 5'7") Even bigger with my sister at 11 stone - and gestational diabetes. Fucking heiffer. I think women generally were much skinnier back then though.

lol@ "monsters inside me" - I think that's one for our cheggers.

cossie I am I think at the acceptance stage which has advanced quickly since Julian has started his wriggling. Until then it's all theory and aliens on a screen.

OP posts:
GrumpyGasper · 04/03/2010 10:40

Dunno vag. I had a couple of "moments" this week. One watching OBEM and looking at woman being handed her baybee and thinking, "I've actually got one of those inside me " and when when a car nearly hit me and I worried about both our lives. we're never alone anymore....

ski you haz very neat bump. However, like iggy I am enjoying maternity wear. I haven't seen SFF for a couple of days and I'm thinking he might notice a BIG difference when I go home tonight .
I'm getting very excited for the scans tomorrow and Saturday. I just hope my baby doesn't scream U-G-L-Y through the monitor

Cold has moved into ears. I can't hear and I'm still a dribbling, coughing mess. The in-laws are going to love me when I show up on Saturday.

iggypiggy · 04/03/2010 10:42

Actual real baybee was v. sweet tho - and am not really a fan of babies.. but i likes this one...

Agree ski womens smaller back then...

Cosmosis · 04/03/2010 10:45

casps I haven't seen TGO for a couple of days either as am darn sarf, so have been wondering if he will notice difference. My new one size up bargain tesco trews are tight. I only bought them 2 weeks ago

ski I wants to feel arti - why no wriggling yet??????

I am currently 8st 10! am I huge??
