Hi everyone!
I've fallen behind a bit again but don't have the energy to catch up as thoroughly as before!
Firstly, Bunny - congratulations! Are you still walking round in a daze or has it sunk in yet that you're going to be a mummy?!
Ozzie - how lovely of your DH to keep complimenting you like that. I look SUCH a state right now. I look fat, rather than pregnant, my boobs are saggy without the support of an underwire, my hair's constantly scraped back into a ponytail (not good to wear it loose when throwing up - learned that the hard way... ) I've not bought any nice new maternity clothes yet so am recycling the same three outfits constantly. And as for make-up! There's just no time, between forcing breakfast down, and bringing half of it back up! (Or at best, sitting with my head in my hands, desperately trying not to!) Then there are the black circles under my eyes, from being so tired all the time... Safe to say, I've looked better!
Desperate - hope you're feeling better?
Hermya - sorry to hear about your DH and your car.
Bunny - that seems so insensitive, calling you MIL a male! Imagine it wouldn't be easy coming to terms with a hysterectomy in the first place!
Worrisome - I'm the same - barely any time left to do anything! Hopefully we'll bloom soon! Lol!
Hermya - finding out the gender is a very individual choice... We're going to, and we don't mind everyone knowing. As for names though, I want to keep that to ourselves. DH thinks I'm silly... So we'll see about that one. But I guess you've just got to do whatever you feel comfortable with. If we do keep it secret, I think we'll just say we have names in mind, but want to wait till we meet Baby, before deciding for definite. I don't think those closest to us will push to be told. And if they do, tough! That'll only make me dig my heels in! Lol!
Oh, and my MIL sounds just like yours... Not a bad person, but can't contain herself when she has a secret! That's why we didn't tell her about the pregnancy until 12wks, when we were happy for everyone to know. Even then, she got round to telling DH's brother before he did (which was sad - there's only 11mths between DH and BIL and they've always been very close...) Anyway. BIL is well used to his mum by now!
Hugs for all the walking hormones! Seriously though, ham?! That's terrible!
Did anyone's DH/DP do anything nice for them on Mother's Day?
Fudge - glad to hear the spotting's stopped.
Chance - so sorry to hear you've had such a bad weekend... Still, on the bright side with your MIL, they've obviously done well to spot this at a routine screening, before she noticed herself that anything was up. The earlier they catch these things, the better. And she beat it before. So here's hoping. Can't be easy on any of you though. [hug]
Bunny - I only bought new bras at the weekend there (13wks) but my boobs were unusual in that they didn't "do" anything until 13wks... If you need them, you need them. I take it you know to avoid underwires?
Fulham - glad to know you're doing well. I SOOOOO can't wait to feel movement! Seems ages away yet! See what you said about switching off and losing everything though..? You know you could always keep doing "Ctrl" & "a" (select all) and "Ctrl" and "c" (copy) while you're typing? That way, even if you have to switch off, when you re-open the page and press "Ctrl" and "v" (paste) you'll get your message back... Not that I'm encouraging you to be deceptive, of course!
Right, last thing I wanted to say/ask... Who was it that had pictures up of their bump? There were two pictures, and you were wearing a black top. I thought it was either Curly or Spireal but it seems I'm wrong... I wanted to know how many weeks that bump was... Think it was 16 but then it was big so I'm not sure... I really want a bump now (sop sick of looking fat!) and if that was 16wks, I'm 14wks tomorrow...
