GruffaloSoldier · 26/01/2010 14:50

Ahh Nat - I knew I could count on you to liven up the thread Seriously, I hope you are ok! Everything will be ok, dont worry. You need to do a test though followed by a good old HONK!

Gin! Lovely to have you back aswell. Blimey, its been so quiet on here the last couple of days,Im quite excited. Erm we need BB now back aswell...come on all you lurkers, come back to the wagon!!!!!!!

Hey there MMM

NatalieJane · 26/01/2010 15:01

Hiya Gruff Long time no see! How's GC getting on?

Yes where are they all? You do realise this is the slowest wagon thread since the beginning of time. Maybe it's time for a spruce up? Dust around a bit and kick the layabouts off the wagon sofas, you can do the windows I'll do the floor, we'll get Diege and Tink to do the shopping for new nice things, Ses can bring the paracetamol for the hungover ones tomorrow and Kays can bring the chocolate from work, we'll soon be sorted

GruffaloSoldier · 26/01/2010 15:41

LOL definitely time for an early spring clean I am on to those windows!

GC ok, he is quite a handful - into everything.starting to walk which is great. has done 5 steps unassisted now so I dont think he will be long. seems to be taking after his Daddy!

Im struggling to keep on top of eveything but since xmas he seems to becoming a little easier so slowly getting things done! Im hoping it will keep getting easier.

Having my down moments due to my mums illness but I am very thankful that I have DC to keep me smiling!

Come on wagoners! Get back here!

NatalieJane · 26/01/2010 16:05

Bless him, how old is he now? Doesn't seem like five minutes ago he was born!

How is your mum doing? I didn't want to ask before incase, well, just incase.

Don't worry about the odd struggle, this bringing up kids lark is way underated on the reasons to go ever so slightly mad scale. In fact I think there should be a government inititive to ensure that every mother has one day a month off completely, they could cough up for spa treatments and shopping sprees and the obvious wine and chocolate. Cor, I'd vote for a government like that!

essenceofSES · 26/01/2010 16:17

NAT!!!!!
Welcome back and with a potentail HONK!!!
Whatever the result, it will be ok and we'll be here along the way

LG&T!!!!
Welcome back to you too! Can't believe how chaotic your household must be but I'm sure it has plenty of rewarding moments too. It's chaotic enough here with DS, a dog and a 14wk puppy!
Sorry for the norovirus - really nasty

Gruff - must be lovely to have GC starting to take his first steps but I guess also with it's own challenges.
How is your mum?

Tink - DS is also v blonde (what hair he has!) DH has v dark hair and I'm naturally dark brown. I was v blonde for the first 18mo though so he'll probably go darker.
Don't know about sheets...

MMM - hello! Trying to do a bit of sorting out here too in preparation for going back to work.

Talking of which, DS has his first settling in session at nursery tomorrow. It's only an hour and I stay the whole time and fill in a whole load of paperwork. Mainly to let them know about his routine

Kayzr · 26/01/2010 16:27

OMG!!! NAT!!!! I will say a tiny congratulations. Maybe if you are pregnant then you will have a very healthy pregnancy.

LG&T, lovely to 'see' you. Sorry that the kids are ill. You having anymore?

I have been at work 7-4 today and I have been on my own all day. It is so bloody boring!!!

Hope everyone is well.

NatalieJane · 26/01/2010 16:29

Hiya Ses

Wow big day for you both tomorrow then? When do you go back to work? Did you get what days you are working sorted out?

I am going to wear out my '?' key, am so out of touch with you all, have too many questions, and anything that takes my mind off the other is working really well for me today!

NatalieJane · 26/01/2010 16:35

Hiya Kayz (And have you got the chocolate?!!)

Sorry work's crap And no, really no tiny little congrats please. We've got a lot to work out before we can go down that route. Poor DH, I can't even try and keep it to myself (um, and MN!) until I know for sure, he was well aware this week was supposed to be off limits, because of the hotel, and I couldn't lie and tell him I'd come on obviously, so he is as worried as me.

Starshinetiger · 26/01/2010 16:35

Ooh, shouldn't be on here, as at work, but needed a break from blasted spreadsheets....
OMG and what an exciting time to log on! Nat, must be a very strange time for you from what you've said before. As others have said, whatever happens, you will get through it and we're all here.
Hi Gin too! 'Tis like a veritable gathering of Wagoners on here today compared to last few days.
Kayz - boo to work, share your sentiment, although am still in the early weeks of enjoying a nice cuppa while it's still warm and eating my lunch without two little minxes trying to eat the very food from my plate!
Right, back to work - only 30 mins to go then it's the mad dash to nursery - oh, how I love it

NatalieJane · 26/01/2010 16:39

Hello Star

You're back at work as well, how long have I been banished for?! How are you? And the children? Enjoy the last few minutes of peace work

GruffaloSoldier · 26/01/2010 16:54

He is 9 months Nat.

Nat/Ses - My mum is coping ok, we all have our good days and our bad days. She has just had a scan which should give us an idea of any progress with the chemo, so we are just waiting for the results now. I hate the waiting
Thanks for asking though

Ses - hope the settling in goes ok. Im sure it will be fine. I bet he will love nursery!

Poor you Kayz, sounds like a long day hope you have a nice evening to make up for it.

Hi Star, oooh a warm cup of tea and no one trying to eat your food!sounds far too good to be true

Hi to anyone Ive missed!

Moosy · 26/01/2010 16:57

Hello all, I've been lurking but not posting as I can hold my phone with one hand while I'm feeding but I can't type like that!

Nice to see you NJ and LG&T, it's a proper reunion!

Nat,I take it your DH hasn't had his operation yet then , will he be chasing up his referral now? (sorry, I just couldn't resist! ) Good luck testing tomorrow and tell us the result as soon as you get it!

Gruff, I was thinking about you the other day and wondering how your mum is, how is the treatment going?

Ses, good luck with the nursery visit, hope it all goes well and O settles in ok.

Well, Fizzy is now 7 weeks old and is beginning to show the tiniest signs of starting to settle into some sort of routine.... sort of. The days are still pretty hectotic but last night she fed at 7, 3, and 7 so hopefully it won't be too long before she's sleeping through properly.

Will try to keep up a bit more now and will defo be back tomorrow to hear Nat's POAS results......

NatalieJane · 26/01/2010 17:12

Lots of luck for the results Gruff, fingers crossed they will shed some light.

LOL Moosy, yes, he will be chasing it up, we still haven't got the doctors properly sorted here, we all have to go in for a check up before they will register us can you imagine it? "I'm pregnant, he want's the snip, kids are fine but if you could put some tempory stitches across their mouths for us that would be great, ta very much Doc"

Hey, a 7,3,7 rountine isn't bad going at 7 weeks! Well done to both of you

essenceofSES · 26/01/2010 17:19

Nat - I didn't get three days as I wanted with work. It was either go back 4 days a week or step down to a different role. I'm going with the 4 days (spread over all day Mon, Tues am, all day Thurs & Fri and Sat am). DH has agreed that if it doesn't work out then we can review it. My first day back is now Fri 26th Feb (due to outstanding hols) although I have a meeting all day on 18th Feb.

Gruff - hope you get the results soon and they show positive signs.

Star - Mad dash to nursery?! That's what I'm thinking it's going to be

Moos - routine?! 7 weeks?! That's good going O was more like about 7 mo before we got a routine!

Any advice on O's afternoon nap? After being an anti-routine baby, about 2 weeks ago, he started to have one decent nap every afternoon after lunch for about 90 mins. Only thing is that yesterday and today, he's slept until gone 4.30pm and I've had to "encourage" him to wake up. (I put the light on gradually and start pottering around upstairs putting washing away, then start talking to him, then pick him up). It's almost as if he thinks he's in for the long haul and it's night time. He does have a big bedtime routine with bath, key words, etc but do I need to make nap time more noticably different? Thinking about it, I could put him down not in his sleeping bag for his nap? Do you think that will help?

Rugbylovingmum · 26/01/2010 17:23

Nat - just focus on that little excited feeling, it'll all work out. You'll def get all the wagoners logging on tomorrow if there is a HONK to watch out for .

Gin - Sorry for the norovirus, hope it doesn't hang about too long!

Gruff - how exciting GC is up on his feet!

MMM - hello! Belated congrats on Max turning 1. Glad you all enjoyed the day (I'm a big kid and love the zoo, I'm really looking forward to taking DD when she is old enough).

Ses - I hope DS enjoys his first settling in session at the nursery tomorrow. How many of those sessions does he have?

Kay - sorry for boring day at work, it does drag when you are in on your own doesn't it.

We've been away all weekend visiting my DB and SIL then stopped in at my parents and the ILs yesterday. It was a great weekend but we stayed up late chatting so I'm shattered. My niece is just amazing - she is at that age when she seems to learn 10 new words a day and cmes out with some hilarious little sayings .

I posted last week that DD was starting to take ages to settle at night and had also been feeding for ages - well it's getting better. I think she was getting snuggled in and comfy and suckling to sleep after a feed then unsurprisingly objected when I woke her up and stuck her in her cot. I've started feeding sitting up rather than lying down and taking her off after 10-15 min when she looks like she is falling asleep and not really feeding anymore (she only feeds for 5 min during day). She objected a bit on the first night but since then has gone back into the cot without a fuss and usually just falls straight back asleep. Hopefully that's us sorted for a couple of weeks till something new crops up .

Rugbylovingmum · 26/01/2010 17:34

X-posted with loads of you there . DD is n my knee so I'm tying very slowly.

Hi Star

Gruff - hope you get some good news/results soon.

Moos - a 7, 3, 7 routine sounds great for 7 weeks. I'm a bit . DD is doing more like a 7, 11, 3, 6 routine and that's at 15 weeks! She used to sleep until 7.30 which was fab but has now decided 5.50am is the best time for playing - she is so smiley and happy to see us which is lovely but I'd love just an hour longer in bed.

NatalieJane · 26/01/2010 17:52

Hi Rugby (IDOB by any chance?!)

Sound's like all is well with you And your DD is very clever, wish mine would have clicked that cot = sleep time a long time before they did!

You had a very busy weekend, when DS1 was 15 weeks old, I'm not sure how we even managed a trip to the shops for food by then, let alone weekends away. Having said that, we came up to visit DH's mum (we lived down south then) when he was 6 weeks so actually it mustn't have been quite as bad as I am remembering!

DH is going to be home in about 10 mins, I'm going to nip to Tesco and get a test, I can't wait for the eBay cheapies, I only ordered them today, they reckon they've posted them, but it doesn't mean they will be here tomorrow.

Can not believe I am going to do a pregnancy test, thought all of that went out of the window with the realisation that Mikey was our last.

Oh BTW, for when you all start TTC-ing again, you do just have to have sex all the time, EWCM is not a sign of OV, or it might be, but it can, obviously, be very mis-leading.

tinksbabyis1 · 26/01/2010 18:02

ggod lluck nat for the morning hope u get the answer u want!!!

wow hi largeginand tonic long time no sea!!

hi gruff and rugby

tinksbabyis1 · 26/01/2010 18:03

crossed posts nj

good luck for result you want tonite!!!

Kayzr · 26/01/2010 18:04

Nat I really hope you get the result you want.

I started temping last Monday so I know what is going on come august. Going to get Tink to look at me charts as she seems to understand it more than I do.

DS1 has just fallen asleep on me on the sofa. We've had to wake him up for dinner. Poor little thing has stopped his naps and he just gets so tired after 4pm.

Kayzr · 26/01/2010 18:36

Is anyone else refreshing in the hope that Nat comes back with a test result??

I am probably the only sad one here.

largeginandtonic · 26/01/2010 18:46

Come on NAT!!!

Hullo you lot! Blardy hell it is like a reunion. It is so nice to hear of all these new babies!

Kay how old is Ds2? Ohmigod. It feels like you just had him.

I am incredibly broody. I would love another BUT prg is quite hard work. My spd was hideous last time and the pain in the last few weeks is bleurgh. Not sure i can do it again.

If the stork could just drop one off on the doorstep that would be fabulous

Dh is away quite a bit this year so ideally i would like him to have a shore job before i did it again. I may have gone through the baby stage by then Well i might have

Ses i am so sorry to hear about your Mum I had no idea. Hope the news is good and she makes a speedy recovery.

Awww it's like being wrapped in a warm blanket back here

I need a baby update please, all those who have had a baby in the last year and those who are prg or ttc, HANDS UP.

largeginandtonic · 26/01/2010 18:47

Kay

largeginandtonic · 26/01/2010 18:49
