Morning TINKS. I's also recommend getting capri pants early as the prettiest ones tend to fly off the shelves. I've been looking at some of the babywear on ASOS too - very nice...
Dh has taken dds 2 and 3 to Morrisons, and dd1 is going to watch her precious Coraline dvd again (dd2 has to be out of the house it's that 'scary').

Oh my goodness me it's worked!!

Hello everyone, sorry have been away for ages, BT internet does not like MN at all. For some reason it just doesn't work, and as luck would have it, now I've managed to get it to load, I don't have time to read anything or even post properly, but just wanted to pop my head in and say I'd not forgotten you all, and I'm hoping you're all well.

Really have to go, kids not even been in the bath yet

Will hopefully be back at some point.... take care and lots of love to all xxx

essenceofSES · 23/01/2010 20:58

Hello everyone!

Lightning - great to hear from you. Sorry BT means MN isn't always working for you.

Diege & Tink - great shopping plans

DH and I have been annoying each other all day. We're having a nice evening though catching up on the new series of Brothers and Sisters with a bottle of wine and a biryani.

O's sleeping has been so much better the last week since his top teeth have come through properly. (Hope I'm not tempting fate on tonight!) He now normally sleeps from 7.30pm until around 1.30am and then (after a feed) sleeps until about 7am. All in his cot and in his room!!
The only thing is I'm still feeding him to sleep so need to work on that one next...

maxxymoosmummy · 23/01/2010 21:07

mornin everyone, busy day ahead so will catch up later or tomoro.

Cosmogirl · 24/01/2010 09:29

Morning all,

Ses - your evening sounded very similar to one of ours the other night - we also had a biryani and watched Brothers and Sisters! Love that show - so well made - always has me in tears.

DD temp gone away thank goodness but ever since being ill her sleeping has gone awry - she is waking much more during the night to feed and my supply has gone all funny so I keep waking up in puddles of milk - yuck! Hopefully it will settle back down again soon and she will start sleeping properly again.

Maxy - Hope you had a great party - cake sounds fab.

Kayzr · 24/01/2010 09:37

Morning,

Happy Birthday Max!! Have a lovely day!!!

Hello Cosmo. Glad to hear DD is better. I hope that your supply sorts itself out soon.

I am feeling really really broody at the minute. I think it is because I have stopped taking the pill and I am tracking my cycle, so I am prepared for August. It is all my own fault though. If I had been stricter and lost the weight sooner then we would have started TTC by now.

Oh well, August isn't too far away now.

Hope everyone is well.

Diege · 24/01/2010 11:14

Happy birthday MAX! Hope you all have a lovely day
Good to hear from you LIGHTNING! I've not been back here myself long, due to internet problems, so sympathise.
COSMO, hope the sleep and supply issues sort themselves out soon.
KAYZ, August will come round before you know it. Any reason for not starting say May/June? (just seems a lot sooner!)
Dh and dds have gone to MILs while I try and sort out some marking that needs to be done for tomorrow. It does all feel a bit of a slog tbh at the moment, and trying to eat healthily and get back to my ideal weight is proving difficult. I know that if I lose the weight I will feel better though, and this should have a knock on effect on my energy levels!
Hi to everyone!

Kayzr · 24/01/2010 11:20

We're not starting until August as we want baby to be due between May-September. We don't really want the next one to be due between the boys birthdays. Plus I have still got lots of weight to lose.

I have just been for my first run and I feel exhausted. I am doing a 5k sponsored race at the end of March so I really need to get training.

essenceofSES · 24/01/2010 12:30

Happy Birthday Max!! Have a great day!

Cosmo - Brothers & Sisters is always a higlight of our week and something that both DH and I really enjoy watching together.

Diege - good luck getting your work done.

Kay - August will come round quickly. We had talked about ttc from May but may wait a bit longer.

Also I still haven't got my periods back atm. However I keep getting cramps and PMT feelings but then nothing develops. Is that normal? I'm sure it'll arrive soon as O's milk intake has really dropped this week.

tinksbabyis1 · 24/01/2010 12:46

happy bday max zoo sounds gr8!! luv zoos

hi diege ,lightning gr8 to hear from you

Diege · 24/01/2010 12:50

Ahh I see KAYZ, good planning . Good luck with the running too - that'll certainly keep you fit and help with the weight loss
SES, I'd say cramps/pmt etc are very normal while your body is still bf. Are you gradually reducing feeding yourself now that work is looming, or just reducing because of solids intake?
Hi TINKS!
Right, must get on with marking..

essenceofSES · 24/01/2010 13:04

He's reducing because of solids intake. His main milk feed is before bedtime when he feeds for about 20mins. His middle of the night feed does seem to be more about soothing him back to sleep as he doesn't take that much and then doesn't have a lot at his 7.30am feed. He also has a feed after lunch and pre-nap which may be about 15mins but also gets him off to sleep

Diege · 24/01/2010 13:19

. I have to say I did do the same with dd1 though, and when I went back to work and reduced bf to just the evening feed, I would really miss the closeness of those times. There's something lovely about seeing them all sleepy and content!
Just four more essays to mark then I'm free! Have the a-level scripts arriving next week - if it wasn;t for the money there's no way I'd do them, but I am saving up for my teeth and it will really help!

essenceofSES · 24/01/2010 13:47

exactly!
I don't know why I always put when I "admit" to comfort feeding or co-sleeping or similar because given the same again, I'd do exactly the same again!
I guess it's just not how I expected to do things before I had DS.
Right O is now having is (comfort fed induced!) post lunch nap so I want to go and sweep and mop the kitchen and dining floors...

Kayzr · 24/01/2010 13:47

I am going to BF DC3 even if it kills me! I am going to say that I do not want that MW coming to see me.

I was a bit bored yesterday so made a cake with a comedy cat sat on it. Here

FollowingYonderSTAR · 24/01/2010 15:45

Hi All, just not getting much time to get on here at the mo!
Happy Birthday Max! Hope you are having a lovely day MMM and glad zoo was good yesterday.
Well, DD is having an unusually long afternoon nap (usually just 30 mins - she has her long one in the morning) and DS is watching Cars, so I'm sneaking a chance on here.
Diege and Ses - is reassuring to hear your "routines", pretty similar to DD food-wise. Did try giving her some supper before bath last week, as at nursery, they have tea at 3pm and snack at 5pm (?!?!?!), but didn't make much difference to sleep (although think she was still readjusting after being ill). I have managed to get her back to having the whole night in her bed though, as she was in with me when ill. She has another cold, so am hoping she doesn't have temp as that'll mean she'll be off nursery - this cold doesn't seem too bad - just lots of snot (sorry, TMI!) and more tired.
Ses - I still feed DD to sleep at afternoon nap (she'll go off for morning nap without feed) and she is about 75/25% feeding to sleep in evening, but just because she's so tired from nursery. If she doesn't feed to sleep then, she usually goes down within 20 mins or so... probably tempting fate here. She woke twice last night though, but am hoping that is just the cold. She is still a tiddler - at 10.5 months she's on 25th centile and weighing in at about 18lbs (not been weighed for a couple of weeks).

Lightning - sorry for internet problems.

Cosmo - sorry for DD's illness. Having same here - she had high temps first week and now a cold again. Didn't have this with DS - he was more solid robust, but also at a childminder, so less bugs to pick up, as less children!

Think we're finally getting food sorted at nursery - met with dietician last week (their dietician) and they are going to adjust menu for the children and hopefully have it in place for week after this one coming, so only one more week of providing 2 meals plus snacks for both of them.

Kayz - August will roll round soon enough - enjoy the year with just the two boys as it's so easy to forget how tiring being pg is! Well done on the running, I went running yesterday too - only 8 weeks until the half marathon and I have a lot of work to do! Ah well, here's hoping it helps both of us lose weight!

Starshinetiger · 24/01/2010 15:49

Thought it was about time I changed back to my non festive name
Meant to say Ses - DD still feeds to sleep for her afternoon nap at home and manages to go for sleep at nursery without feeding to sleep. Think she just knows it's there with me! Although is only napping for 30 mins at a time at nursery - guess she needs to get used to it.

maxxymoosmummy · 24/01/2010 18:52

thanks everyone, think max had a great day only managed to get a few piccies tho as the camera got full but the main thing is he enjoyed it
just put him down to bed so im having me time, been busy all weekend so time to relax now.

essenceofSES · 24/01/2010 19:55

MMM - glad he had a good day. Sounds like you definitely deserve some me time now

Star - thanks, you are reassuring as ever I think one evening, I'll just have to tackle that one evening... I think I'll go back to the No Cry Sleep Solution.
Hope DD's cold passes quickly and without too much trouble.

Kay - that cake looks great I'm in awe of all of you that manage to bake something, just like that. Maybe if I did a bit more baking, I'd find it a bit easier. It's something I always thought I'd do whilst on ML and just haven't. I even asked for (and got!) Rachel Allen's "Bake" book for Christmas!

Tonight is a big night in the Ses household - 24 starts again Something else that DH and I love to watch together. It's a double episode tonight to kick off so it'll be a late night as it won't finish til 11pm. Between us, DH and I have cooked a roast dinner to have later too

essenceofSES · 24/01/2010 19:55

Ooh! Lots of in that post

maxxymoosmummy · 24/01/2010 20:12
