3 x BFP this morning!

Even bought an expensive clearblue digital test to be sure!

My DD will be 1st September 2010 and this will be my 2nd baby. My DS was 2 weeks late so will def be September not August!!!

Anyone else...?

Ooh cooooeeee can I join please? Positive result yesterday in state of shock as kind of gave up (was seriously considering getting a Labrador) but did another test this morning to make sure! This will be #3 (my last, sniff as grand old age 42 soon to be 43)and due 8 September

Congratulations to everyone! It's lovely to think that there are lots of other people going through the joys and panics of pregnancy! Can I join too? BFP a couple of days ago and I should be due on September 17th. This is number three and will be the last one as I'm well into my late thirties! Already have DS (13) and DD (5).

Curlylox, we actually did decide to get a labrador on the very day I got my positive result - looks like the family's going to be bigger than I'd originally thought.

Maitri wow so did you get a puppy or rescue dog? We've decided to put getting a lab on hold for a couple of years due to the hard work involved in looking after and training. Congratulations by the way too.

Well, I'm def pregnant as the sickness has now arrived... not too bad as yet, as long as I eat 5 meals a day! and this morning it really helped going out into the cold as up until then I kept wretching (sorry if TMI), but not being sick.
Drs tomorrow, if I'm brave enough to take the car out! Hopefully the sun will come out any second now and melt all this snow!

You have my sympathies Inzidoodle! I had all day sickness up until DS was due. It's taken me 3 years to make myself go through at all again. Only slight nausea for me so far but Im not even 5 weeks yet....I'm sure it won't be long in arriving!

Sorry to hear about all the sickness. This is not the part of the joys of pregnancy is it? Strangely the ONLY time of day where I don't feel sick is first thing in the morning! I forgot how early it can kick in.

DD1 had her first day at school today and she was so grown up! I picked her up at lunchtime and she looks completely exhausted bless her. The school is very close but up a very steep (and icy at the moment) hill so DD2 and I will be kept very fit doing that twice a day. Unfortunately DD2 is not keen on walking in snow and kept sitting down in protest.

Is it too early to start thinking about things like homebirths? I'd highly recommend staying at home to anyone who is not sure.

Would love a homebirth. Wanted to with DS1 but sadly a horrible c section hospital one. Now I don't know what I'll choose. Let's get past the first scan first.

Yep an emergency section for me too, so doubt homebirth will be on the cards! Prob be elective for me - however dont want to tempt fate by getting too far ahead of myself!

Curlylox the dog belongs to a friend who is moving abroad and can't take her with him. Likewise, I don't think we'd be able to cope with the puppy-training AND a new baby too!

Symptoms anyone?
Restless, stretching feeling in tummy, back and legs
Mild nausea if I haven't eaten recently
Extreme tiredness which makes the nausea worse
Weird, intense dreams
Swinging between quiet calm and total panic at the prospect of HAVING A BABY!

(Sound familiar?)

same for me, mild nausea and pains in tummy, oh and sore boobs!

I'm quite relaxed at the moment though it probably hasn't really sunk in yet.

Pity we only booked a holiday to Menorca in May a week ago...wouldn't have bothered if known I was pregnant!

Sore tits and pmt type pains in abdomen. I remember that feeling from last time. No tiredness or sickness yet.

Menorca in May sounds great to me.

Dirtgirl - Yeah I will prob still enjoy it though we all inclusive so:
a) Cant drink
b) Will prob still have all day sickness so wont be eating much!

Hi bloominnnorah, I had an EMCS too so don't think I will go for homebirth (although if I could know for sure it would turn out ok I would be tempted).

Not doing too bad here, so far only slight nausea, boobs have grown a bit (they went massive during last pg, was very annoying to lug around as it were along with huge bump) and can feel some stretching inside tummy - that could just be biscuits though...

Not told anyone in RL and not planning to either for quite a while, possibly until past 12 weeks even for family & friends. In a way I want to just be "me" for a little while longer. I really enjoy being pg but can't stand fuss. Bah.

Hi IrishGal1, this link here might help you calculate your due date, although it can all goe out of the window with the 12 week scan as they will only go on what the scan says!

Probably if you got a BFP last week you won't be far away from my due date of 18th Sep
