3 x BFP this morning!

Even bought an expensive clearblue digital test to be sure!

My DD will be 1st September 2010 and this will be my 2nd baby. My DS was 2 weeks late so will def be September not August!!!

Anyone else...?

ChocolateCalculator · 03/01/2010 19:35

Hi can I join you please? Got a BFP today, I think an EDD around 2 September. Although DS was 3 weeks early so we'll see.

I'm still in a state of shock as we weren't even trying, just one night of being a bit daft (and thinking it would be ok because of breastfeeding). DS only turned 1 yesterday, so DH and I are wondering how we are going to cope. The timing also isn't great as I am due a manic year at work, but we knew we wanted 2 at some point so focussing on the excitement rather than the fear!

Look forward to getting to know you all.

foxyjbro99 · 03/01/2010 19:52

Hello flippertygibbet, congratulations, I know what you're going through, I have told DH, DM & DS, but not gonna tell anyone else. Totally paranoid that this pg will end in mc again!

Congrats chocolatecalc, it will be hard work, i had 22 months between mine & found the first year very hard! you will get through it though & will reap the rewards having 2 so close in age, they will be great playmates & an absolute joy!

CakeandFineWine · 03/01/2010 20:27

Hey all newbies, [waves]

Inzidoodle sorry to hear about your grandad, I'm sure there will be no ill effect on baby. Its probably better to let yourself grieve to be honest!

tummytickler · 03/01/2010 21:29

Hello all!
How are you all today? Any symptoms yet? Dh swears the boobies are bigger (but they are pretty massive anyway!) and I am feeling a bit sick, but that could be in my mind!
Nees to go oout tomorrow and pick up some folic acid!
Sorry to hear about your grandfather Inzidoodle . My mil died when i was 9 weeks pg with dc3. It was a very difficult time for dh and I (especially dh) but she was fine - hope that is reassuring for you

foxyjbro99 · 03/01/2010 21:35

Hi, my boobs are definately feeling fuller and are very sensitive.
Think I might be starting with a bit of sickness today, but might be in my head too!
Is everyone keeping the list updated?

tummytickler · 03/01/2010 22:36

i haven't added myself to the list yet! Will do tomorrow night as I am off to bed now - have a 13 hour shift at work tomorrow! Yikes! Haven't done a long shift since I found out I was pg - will be on my feet for 12 hours - hoping I don't have a fainting fit (early pg is not good for me!)
Today have mostly been eating meat. I am wondering if this is my 'thing' this pregnancy!
Goodnight all - have a good, non-sicky day tomorrow! I will amuse myself by thinking of names!

jbakedbean · 04/01/2010 02:26

Hi all, Can I join, I don't know the short hand stuff but I'm due 4th September with a little bro or sis to my currently 8 month old son. It's so hard not telling anyone the news. Back to work on tuesday for the first tie since mat leave so I hope they haven't got any long term plans.

Summary so far:
littlemiss72 edd 27th Aug
inzidoodle edd 30th Aug
babyshoes edd 1st Sept
nancydrewrocks edd 3rd Sept
ILoveGregoryHouse edd 2nd Sept

Hope I haven't missed anyone out, please just cut, paste and add yourself if I have. Mild symptoms include INSOMNIA, can't sleep at all at night, wide awake and it's now 2.30, and last night I got 4 hrs, what is that about?

Look forward to hearing from you all and hope all goes well

Is it the insomnia, pregnancy or just lack of awareness that has made me so poor at messaging? sorry again, guess my symptoms of pg are an inability to carry out simple tasks.

Stickhasgrownup · 04/01/2010 09:18

Hello everyone and welcome to those who have just joined us

sorry about your grandfather inzidoozle , I've no experiance of grief in pregnancy... but I always think its better out than all bottled up inside so just go with how you feel.

I cannot believe it... I'm getting a bump already !! I have recently lost weight, so I'm hoping its not too obvious. I can't suck it in so I know its not just all the christmas chocy!

Still no sickness... I'm sure it started at 5 weeks previously, so fingers crossed!

First day back at work for dh so I'm meeting friends, hopefully I'll manage not to blab... really want to keep pebble a secret for now!

eggonlegs · 05/01/2010 02:32

Hello to you all.

I was so amazed to see a thread for Sept and couldn't resist joining.

I'm currently living away from home and bursting to share the news so it's great to be able to say on here, I'm due 08/09/10!

I've a DS who's nearly 3 and though it was planned the reality of the year ahead has just started to hit home! Missing wine!!

I don't know what all the shorthand means either - must be pg brian.

Hope everyone's feeling well.x

tummytickler · 05/01/2010 06:26

eggonlegs - we have the same due date!
I am feeling a bit crampy - but i think (hope) this is normal. Unfortunately no rest for me until tomorrow!
having trouble holding tum in, i think i look pg - dh thinks I am mad! wearing baggy clothes today though!
Have a good day all. I am off to work.

eggonlegs · 05/01/2010 08:04

I'm crampy here too and the little nausea I had straight off has settled so I don't know whether to be worried or enjoy it!

tummytickler - I wonder if we'll be on date - a birthday 8/9/10 would be pretty great.

I also feel huge and can't decide if it's post Christmas bulge or crazily early baby bulge.

Hope everyone has a good day

Hi ladies, I am here and determined to stay to the end this time (history of 5 early m/c's in the last year), I ovulated stupidly early this time, so although I am actually only 3w5d from lmp, I got a positive test a few days ago, and am more like 4w3d which would explain why I am already feeling nauseous and wonderful cramps and bloating.

I am seriously contemplating telling the docs an earlier LMP as all my previous children have been born early anyway, I measured ahead of dates with each of them, and I can't see why this one would be any different. I think I will adjust my LMP date according to my ov date, I ov'd on day 9 ov my cycle so I think I will move my lmp back by 5 days..... I would never have done this before, but I know that at the dating scan they will adjust the due date anyway, as they have with all my previous pregnancies, so I will just be one step ahead and will not have to get my head around a different due date in a few weeks time. My actual due date according to LMP is 16/9/10, but I will certainly not reach that date!

I hope you don't think I am mad/bad with this I have just been through so much the last year, that my attitude towards the doctors and how to deal with them has been tinged by my experiences.

Hello - it's great to know there are so many other people out there having similar experiences to me! This is a long awaited number 1 for me, after battling with fibroids. Had an early scan yesterday to make sure it wasn't ectopic as also had a blocked tube - and am delighted everything's in the right place! However, was told the bean is only 5.2mm and therefore "couldn't be 6 weeks yet" - well, it IS 6 weeks, in terms of the calendar - so does she just mean is developing slowly? Should I worry about that? How much should I worry about it? Feel a bit nauseous, a bit tired, and have slightly sore boobs, but otherwise am OK. Like someone else said - I keep expecting to go the loo and find bleeding.
Is it this stressful all the time? Where's the fun?!! Or do you just lurch from one set of things to worry about, to another?!

Mellousol · 05/01/2010 11:06

Hi
Congrats to everyone else on here!
I am due 5/9/10 with first baby! Am dying to tell everyone but am scared of miscarrying (no history - just paranoid!) When is everyone going to book with Midwife etc? Now sure when its all supposed to happen! Also am running out of excuses as to why I can't drink! Not ready to tell people yet - but my friends know we are trying and will suss it out! Have a party to go to in two weeks - wil be about 6 weeksgone and don;t really want to tell people until past the 12 week mark! Am feeling so excited but I can't quite believe its real!

rainbowdays · 05/01/2010 12:34

Lilypad - please do not worry about the scan, there is a huge margin of error in early scans. And also you may have ovulated and implanted later than you think, and 5.4mm is only a little bit out from where it should be. Worry with children starts immediately! Even after the pregnancy the worry never stops..... But do try to enjoy this time, relax and allow yourself to dream about your baby. I have had 5 early miscarriages in the last year, and it is heartbreaking, but you have to allow yourself to feel some joy even with the worry. It is good news to hear the baby is in the right place, so enjoy the "fun" of feeling all the wonderful pregnancy symptoms you have and try to enjoy this pregnancy.

insidoodle - sorry to hear about your grandfather, please don't worry about the effect on your baby, there is no effect, when I was pregnant with my first I was under extreme stress and worried that it would have an effect, but of course my ds1 is fine. Just make sure you take care of yourself and let the feelings be what they need to be. I hope that you are being given extra tlc but people around you too.

jbakedbean - I have preggo-brain already too, good to know I am not the only one

TTTrouble · 05/01/2010 13:13

Hi can I join. I got my BFP on Sat 2nd Jan, my due date is 10th Sept :D

This is my second, DS is 21 months of lovlieness

Congrats to everyone else.

So sorry for you Beecat xx

Stickhasgrownup · 05/01/2010 15:19

Congratulations to all those just joining us.

Mellousol - When you book in really depends on where you live. Where I am you see your GP first who then refers you and that is done anytime from 5 weeks... I went at 9weeks with DC1 and they said I was rather late and were worried about squeezing me in for a scan etc. But others are told not to book in until at least 8.5 weeks!
Personally I'm seeing my GP next tues, so will be 6.5 weeks then.
I won't see a midwife until after my first scan (was 16 weeks with DC2).

Feel really shattered today... must be my next joyus symptom!
The kids have a swimming lesson at 5.30 and I just want to go to bed now, let alone deal with the hassle of all that! Should really pop to supermarket first too... but lack motivation!

heather1980 · 05/01/2010 15:32

where i am we have to see the gp first, they refer you to the mw for booking in and to the hospital for a scan.
i'm away next week on holiday so i'm not bothering to go till the week after, it's my 3rd i'm not quite as bothered as i was when it was my 1st and i was more excited and impatient!

surreygirl · 05/01/2010 18:25

Hello, I'm linking into this thread too, just got a BFP.... after a negative last Tues! Definitely am pregnant though as I'm totally off my daily Starbucks' fix and feeling very tired, wee bit dizzy/queasy..so will be scoffing decaf tea and ginger biscuits again...just cursing my very irratic cycle/the negative test result from last week as I drank two glasses of champagne on NYE!!

I'm due 10/9/10 which is DH's birthday... and I have a DS who is almost 2 and will be 2.7 by my due date. Expect I'll be early as I had very high BP with DS and was taken into hospital/induced a few days early and had a very quick and relatively easy 4 hour labour. I'm 42 in May and we have been trying a little while so very chuffed...

Just booked into see my GP next Wed... so want to tell people in RL but will hold on until first scan...

Ooh looks like the list is growing nicely!

I battled through the snow to see GP today, was a very quick visit, filled in MW referral form, blood pressure etc and that was it. I had to prompt her about the swine flu jab though - she aid I caught her too early in the morning and was just waking up! She was completely non-pressurising about it and said it was up to me but also that some women are choosing to wait till after 12 weeks before having it, just in case, so have decided to take that option.

flippertygibbet · 05/01/2010 20:02
