Hello everyone! Welcome to the second thread! Hope you are happy enough that I've gone ahead with this title! If not, I won't be mortally offended if you ditch it and start again!

Here is the list - hope it is more or less up-to-date. Apologies if you're missing, please add yourself on. Pogue - we don't have you on here. Scared - are you still around? Perhaps you've moved to the May thread. Let us know how you're doing.

GibberingGinger · 24/11/2009 21:49

Sorry I've not contributed much of late. All I can do at the moment is whinge about how tired and nauseous I am, and I don't want to bore you all senseless with that. Its bad enough that I have to put up with myself! Poor hubby - he has to put up with the brunt of it. Roll on Christmas, I can't be bothered with the festivities, I just want the holidays so I can sleep 23 hours a day!

Saucepanman · 24/11/2009 23:26

Evening all, I am awake! Am having loads of trouble falling asleep atm. Sickness better today, just the cursory first thing vomit, which I can cop with, but obv all day nausea. Still, am 12 weeks in 26 minutes when I expect it will immediately stop

filly- my crunchie habit is coming along nicely, just bought some snack sized ones, after brazenly taking a big one(!) on the school run this aft. However have developed an alarming trifle habit which cannot be good. Am glad you're ok

RnB do let us know as soon as you can about your scan xx

Everyone else- big hugs, wishing you sleep and sick free days x

RnB · 25/11/2009 09:56

Thanks so much Saucepanman, am crapping myself. Scan is at 11:55 will let you know how it goes x

Ladyemmalou83 · 25/11/2009 10:38

Good Luck with your scan RnB. Hope you have a wonderful time x

readysetgo · 25/11/2009 11:05

Good luck RnB! Can't wait for the report back xx

gizmo · 25/11/2009 12:53

RnB, have we eliminated you from the twins sweepstake yet?

evil grin

readysetgo · 25/11/2009 13:15

My (male) boss just said to me, "you're always munching lately"

I feel like a heffa today, and he should be glad I'm eating otherwise I'd be vomming all over his floor!

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/11/2009 13:32

Ooh yes - are the twins yours RnB?

herewegrow · 25/11/2009 14:11

There can't be many of us left to have scans now and i'm starting to seriously worry about the increased probability of twins for us remainders.....

Seriously hope your scan went well RnB

Don't worry Ready a "friend" at work asked me if I was preggers the other day as she said that my craving was very specific....

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/11/2009 14:12

I thought most of us still hadn't had scans herewegrow?! I'm sure that there are loads in the first week of December.

gizmo · 25/11/2009 14:16

At the moment I look and feel as if I have eaten a rather stiff cushion. I have corners. My abdomen looks like this in profile: ]

I have also lost my waist (never my strongest feature) and I'm utterly convinced the women at work have sussed me. Luckily the men - engineers - are not going to notice anything unless I start contracting in the middle of the boardroom table.

herewegrow · 25/11/2009 14:19

you are most probably right Cantsleep think I must be getting confused with people saying they have got their scan dates
have the memory of a goldfish, bet my boss is overjoyed!

RnB · 25/11/2009 14:26

Hello everyone...

Well back from the scan and....

THERE WAS A LOVELY LITTLE BABY THERE!!

It was kicking and waving and flapping and spinning! Lovely, lovely, lovely. Such a relief

Pic is on my profile. EDD has been moved forward to May 31st but am sticking with you ladies if that's ok...

Thanks all for your support

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/11/2009 14:44

Are you sure there wasn't a second one hiding behind waiting to come out and say peekaboo RnB?

GibberingGinger · 25/11/2009 15:46

Congratulations RnB. Must be lovely to have confirmation that everything is going ok. Only 6 days til my scan.

Got a text from one of my friends yesterday saying that my pregnancy had been rumbled by the local mums at the tots group I go to with DD1. Supposedly I looked really rough last week and hence there was now much speculation about whether I was or wasn't preggers. Would be really offended if I wasn't! However until after the scan - and maybe even later - its to them

goodname · 25/11/2009 15:48

Congrats RnB. Thats a much clearer photo than mine. Will have to work out how to put mine up as well, Also glad yr joining me nearer the top of the list .

Have a vile headache today carried over from yesterday, real agony behind my eyes. Is this yet another lovely side effect of pregnancy?

GibberingGinger · 25/11/2009 15:59

RnB -wow you're an actress. That is a much cooler profession than me (scientist). Would I have seen you in anything?

RnB · 25/11/2009 16:20

Thanks everyone . Am so happy and relieved. Was so lovely seeing it so real.

Hehe GibberingGinger - it's not so cool when you actually do it I actually had to choose between doing a PhD in Clinical Genetics and going to drama school (did a Biology degree), sometimes still wish I did the PhD (am a geek at heart)! The grass is always greener, eh
What field do you work in?

readysetgo · 25/11/2009 16:33

Oh I just got all teary! I want mine soon! I'm so pleased for you RnB. How selfish of you to only have one though

Gibbering - you both have far cooler professions than me. I don't even have a profession, I'm a mere Office Administrator

GibberingGinger · 25/11/2009 17:04

I'm in biomolecular sciences. I actually do a technique called mass spectrometry (I expect this to mean nothing to anyone - its s pretty tiny field) However I quite enjoy it.

Don't worry ready your time will come. My scan is stupidly early (10w+6). My hospital must be trying to avoid a christmas rush or something!

theperfectbaguette · 25/11/2009 17:17

Hhhhhhhhhha ha found you all. Great news R n B and hello to all the newies. I was stylishly sick on the pavement today then had to sit through some really rough turbulance, thankfully I wasn't sick again. Bit of a bum as until 2 days ago I'd been feeling OK.

Dont suppose anyone else is in France are they? I've a sneaking feeling I'm not properly in the system there yet and am avoiding getting DP to speak to my doctor on my behalf.

gizmo · 25/11/2009 17:34

Gizmo raises hand at back and waves wildly:

'miss, miss, I know what mass spectrometry is, miss. It's when you get everyone to wear glasses, innit?'

Sorry, GibberingG. Just got to silly o'clock.

RnB, it's not fair that your baby looks cute in ante-natal scans. By Law, they are meant to look like potatoes in a microwave.

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/11/2009 17:37

I've heard of mass spectrometry, because Jeffery Deaver is one of my very favourite authors.

LittleRobbo · 25/11/2009 18:42

RnB wow your scan pic is fantastic,so clear! totally thrilled for you

gizmo pmsl at abdomen profile and your spectrometry gag, hilarious gal keep it up

I am actually going out for dinner with the girls tonight,i've got make-up on and everything wonder if i'll make it past nine or will i be longing for pj's? i think so.

imkeepingmum · 25/11/2009 18:53

Ah jealous of all the scan dates! RnB your scan is really clear! Have MW appt on Monday and am told they will book the scan while I am there. Am getting impatient now!
