Hey all. DH had interview. All went well, but that means nowt if he does not get the job eh? He hasn't heard yet, told he would hear today if successful. Its a voluntary org so they close early on fridays afaik, so i am a bit now.

DH has gone to bed for a nap. Grr. I tried to nap, but he and DD made too much noise, and now DD is knackered so calm as you like in front of tv, while he sleeps with his ipod on. It is so he can stay up late tonight with a friend. I should not feel so resentful but for some reason it really winds me up!!

We are fine with each other now, he was fine after I told him he looked good after his shave fickle .

But i have pulled a groin muscle or something, had some twinges recently where muscle feels like it gives way or something, and now, after DD pulled on my hand while dancing as we walking along it has 'gone' completely, I can manage to shuffle the leg, feels like the whole leg will give out otherwise! Oh another pregnancy joy to add to the list!

comma i forgot to say yesterday what great news it is that baby has turned, you must be so pleased.

To all those with babies not making a show, but making the pretence of it [grr] for you and hope you get some let up soon, either a break, or the arrival of a baby

Fruitpastels · 30/10/2009 16:23

I've had another session of marathon contractions. I really thought this was it as the last 4 hours they were becoming more frequent and painful, nearly every 6 mins for the last hour. I now have nothing!! This is exhausting work all the false starts

I will now catch up on all the news. Be back later

PavlovtheWitchesCat · 30/10/2009 16:25

fruit oh how stressful and tiring for you! I hope things speed up soon xx

PavlovtheWitchesCat · 30/10/2009 16:40

oh well thats it then . He would have heard by now.

EasyEggs · 30/10/2009 16:53

Oooh skorpion I love that song. You just reminded me that I did one of those media montage thingys for dd when she was tiny and used that song.I had forgotten about it so just watched it and I cried my eyes out she is 2 now so just made me realise how much she's grown up and the reality that I'll soon have another teeny little girl to look after

HERE IF YOU FANCY A NOSEY!

They make great gifts for doting grandparents if you buy them on disk!

Pav I'm sorry it's not looking hopeful for dp on the job front Maybe there is still time??

Fruit Poor you. All this stop start must be really getting to you. I hope you can get some rest and things get moving for real asap x x

PavlovtheWitchesCat · 30/10/2009 17:00

easyeggs no, don't think so . Knew it was too good to be true. A break? just before the new baby arrives? no such thing for us it seems . Feeling rather tearful.

EasyEggs · 30/10/2009 17:02

Aww pav I'm not surprised you're so upset. You have had so much to deal with of late at a time when you very least need it. Sending you a virtual & very un MN hug x x
Your break will come when you have the most prefectly well behaved little baby on the thread

PavlovtheWitchesCat · 30/10/2009 17:05

thanks easyeggs i am not even counting on that...prepare for the worst, hope for the best. Thats where we are at.

But at least we are all healthy, DD is a joy, even if she still is not in her own room (on account of DH napping instead of moving her stuff, was too busy prepping for interview yeaterday), and this baby is doing well. I shall stop being so moany about it all and appreciate what we have not what we don't have.

Trikken · 30/10/2009 17:11

Aww thats a beautiful video Easyeggs, (I am nosey by the way!)

EasyEggs · 30/10/2009 17:11

Hey you can moan all you like, I'd say you're well entitled to it seeing how thigs have been recently. Grrr at your dp getting his nap though and you not and him not getting dd's room done. It's these little things which I'm finding the most annoying atm. There's so many things needing doing but dp not here very much for last few weeks and for next couple until baby gets here, I've given up complaining to him now (well, mostly )

Anyway as I said keep moaning here, we don't mind. Everything is relative to your own situation so don't think your problems are any less important than anyone elses just because they aren't major if that makes any sense. Think I've lost myself now lol...

Oh i just had a look too [tearful] now that made me cry too easy how lovely!

PavlovtheWitchesCat · 30/10/2009 17:17

Cheers guys, you really are ace . A huge bar of chocolate would be great if it did not make me feel sick, and DH is busy tonight so no dvd.

He has just this second got up, asked if any phone calls. He is so crestfallen 'flunked it again' he said. I am going to go make him a cuppa, give him some tlc.

PreggoK8 · 30/10/2009 17:31

Pav - have sympathy for you and DH. Men definitely seem to put so much pressure on themselves when we have a bun in the oven. My DP likes to beat himself up all the time as feels like he's not providing enough for me and bump. Guessing it's like a primal instinct of 'must provide'.
Hope you're both ok.

Trikken · 30/10/2009 17:32

aww poor thing, its so disheartening when that happens. sounds like tlc is a good plan for both of you, pav

weston · 30/10/2009 18:50

hey everyone

been having such a busy mid-term, lots of activities, socialising and eating, been great, could do with some rest now

can't beleive..know shouldn't still be in denial that my offical due date is only 2 weeks today, think will go into shock when go into labour

for those of u with false starts last time i went in a week before and was having proper measured on the machine contractions but then they stopped and apparently this can happy when they baby moves down into position...when it happened for real i had a 'show' the day before so not sure if that is more relaible but then not eveyone has one and sometimes they can be weeks before anything happens so all abit random! but talking of full mooons..when is the next one? i went into labour on a full mooon and the hospital was really busy apparently it can have an impact!!

tigger32 · 30/10/2009 18:53

pav So sorry your dh didn't get the job tlc def sounds good though.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your messages they mean alot. I am a bit in as my sister called me at 2pm to tell me that out dsd is off all monitors, drains removed and eating soup on the ward! He came out of Icu this morning and is doing really well, he is obviously in a bit of pain but doing amazingly well. Dh has taken my mum to see him.

Took ds's to a Halloween party this morning and loads of fun, it was great to get them out.

erika great news about the flat coming up.

Keeping my fingers crossed that all the stop starters get going over the weekend , anyone for a Halloween baby?? Will be great for birthday parties.

misseses I too am 3/5th engaged and have been since 34 weeks, this is no.3 for me though so have been told won't go any further until labour. I definitely as though my bump is low.

ursigurke · 30/10/2009 19:14

pavlov, I feel so sorry for you and especially your husband. I really hope there will soon be something coming up for him.

Midwife appointment went really well. There was no internal examination but she thought the baby is engaged and ready and that my husband might be right with tomorrow... Well, we'll see if that is true but I am really optimistic that things will happen in the next couple of days and the baby will arrive before my parents do.
I am just hoping not to follow scarlotti and fruitpastels bad example (I am really sorry for you and hope you will soon go in a nice and easy labour/birth after all that on and off)
Thanks to all sharing thoughts and experiences about the big change waiting for us.

scarlotti · 30/10/2009 19:35

pav so sorry for your dh

tigger great news on your dsd

usi this is my 3rd, and I think Fruit's 3rd too so they're apparently the more tricky ones. You will be fine.

I am still waiting. No more contractions but a few tightenings and bit more of a show. Tummy is sore from the muscle spasms. Starting to think it might be a good few days yet - am 39 weeks today.

Fruit feel for you with your 4 hours worth, that's how I ended up in hospital only to be sent home. Fingers crossed that it does mean we're dilating a plenty and when it starts they'll just pop out like peas!!!

BeckyBendyLegs · 30/10/2009 19:56

Skorpion I love that song! It is one of DH's favourite songs ever. It makes me cry every time I hear it.

Pavlov so sorry for your DH. Big hugs to all of you.

No babies yet...but lots nearly there it seems.

We all went to Birmingham today and had lunch in Mount Fuji (Japanese restaurant just outside bullring) and I nearly did the sideways splits on some spilt water. Owww. My girly bits really hurt now.

Very tired now, listening to Skorpion's song. Nice.

Hope there are some babies this weekened xxxx

PavlovtheWitchesCat · 30/10/2009 20:31

tigger fantastic news on your DSDads recovery. Sounds like he is a strong man! Hope he continues to make good progress and can be home soon.

Thanks all for supporting words and hugs. DH is absolutely gutted, he keeps apologising, i told him he could do no more than he did, and that he could not possibly have prepared more than he did for this (in that its the third interview for same project, but different roles), and they had given every indication they liked what they had seen previously so how could he have done it any differently this time? Just cannot see what more he could have done. Its like they dangled this golden carrot and kept moving it, and now its gone.

I have told him we will take stock in the next few days, and reassess our home roles if we have to, so he feels less like unemployed DH struggling to get work, and more like the father and happy hardworking home maker that he mostly is, we will do it together until he finds some work.

weston · 30/10/2009 22:06

watch out for flurry of babies monday nite - next full moon!!

cupcakefairy · 30/10/2009 22:51

Hi girls, sorry to gate-crash your thread for a moment...don't know if any of you remember me but I was on this thread way back when and miscarried at 8 weeks in April.. LO should have been born on Monday.
Well anyway, just wanted to let you know I am pregnant again and just had dating scan today; all was fine and was amazing to see our little baby with tiny hands and feet and everything Due in May.

Massive congratulations to you all and so exciting that you're all starting to pop...seems to have gone so quickly!

Right, I'll go again now but just wanted to pop my head in

longwayaway · 30/10/2009 23:00

Fantastic news, cupcakefairy!! All the best

Sorry to hear that your DH didn't get the job this time, Pav... fingers crossed there will be plenty more opportunities on the horizon.

Started getting stabby cooter pains this week. Ouch. Do those come and go, or am I pretty much stuck with them until the baby arrives?

Sending lovely full moon labor vibes to those of you getting close!

Comma2 · 31/10/2009 00:21

Pav hugs to you and your poor DH...sounds really rough. He will find something eventually! Hang in there and well done on giving your DH a pep talk...unsuccessful interviews can feel so bad when you really really needed the job.

Tigger hooray for your dad! Fantastic!

Congrats cupcake ! All the best for the pregnancy!

Nooooo, full moon! Now I want lo to stay in until my doctor comes back!
Naaa, I am done fiddeling with this-- she can come whenever and however. I also stopped bouncing, pineapple, sex, tea...or, as the Amerian in me would like to note: like, whatever.
