I am still here too Lipstick (40 +1). Sweep booked for next Wednesday - seems such a long way off!!
Also feel a BIT crampy etc.
Have tried no "natural remedies" for getting things started yes as i personally dont beleive that they work!!!!
I am going for the "taking my mind off it" theory, hoping it will come when i least expect it. to that end we have workman round our house all week - building a patio in our back garden and block paving our front drive. Prehaps all the "tea making" will bring it on!!!
Congrats to all - and good luck to everyone else - i feel like i will be the last entry on the board.

mogwai · 30/06/2005 09:14

thank god for that, I was beginning to get worried that your little one would be known as "'lil lippy" , which sounds too much like "zippy"

Hope something gets moving for you today. Looks like July babies for us all, I wasn't expecting THAT!

mogwai · 30/06/2005 09:15

Tessiebear, we'll all be on the postnatal thread soon, including you. Promise not to abandon you

Tessiebear · 30/06/2005 09:17

Thanks Mogwai -

Lua · 30/06/2005 09:25

Congratulations Mrs.F. So glad all went well. Considring her size it might have been a good thing you had a cs!

Mog, take your dh's offere.... If I remember correctly you have to eat something like 7 pineapples....

mogwai · 30/06/2005 10:11

I could never eat seven pineapples, not even if you put them on a gorgeous pizza.

So now I'm feeling really depressed. One of my work colleagues was due two weeks after me and she just texted me to say she's in labour To add insult to injury, she's booked into the same hospital.

HEY! That's my sodding bed....get out of it

welshmum · 30/06/2005 10:11

Well done Mrs F - glad c section was peaceful. See you on the pn thread soon.
Love to all still waiting x

RoseBerry · 30/06/2005 10:21

Congrats Mrs F

Still here myself. Going to the MW later, to talk dates and check on baby. Husband is really starting to panic. Not good. See you guys later.

eastyorksmum · 30/06/2005 10:31

Morning junies tryed to have a nap with waking up early this morn no such luck still having contractions very irregular though not to bad.

Moq that was funny what you said about your friend going into labour.

MW is comming tomoror morning to do a sweep although i dont know what good that will do ive had 3 but at least know if baby is engaged thats the prob im having with baby been posterior.

probably disscuss induction as well i dont know about you but i feel ive been in labour a month now getting very tired, its hard to keep positive.

As my baby was transverse then breach and now posterior anyways sending good labour vibes to all of us still waiting xxxxxx

LipstickMum · 30/06/2005 12:27

Ah Tessie, don't worry even if you are the 'lucky last' you've only just passed your due date anyway. Off for my S&S in a minute Can't help but be excited!! Unless of course she tells me that my cervix is doing absolutely nothing!!

Mog! That b*tch!! HOw dare she go into labour before you Hand on heart, I would never have been ready 3 weeks ago, so I guess I'm quite glad really to be 'over'. I never expected a July baby either, even though I knew I would be later than due date...

Must dash, will return with all the details in an hour or so

mrsdarcy · 30/06/2005 13:50

We're awfully nice on the July thread and if you join us there you can be confident that none of you will be the last ones!

Quick question - what has everyone packed in their hospital bag for babys first clothes.????
With my other two it was sleepsuits - but will they not be too hot in a sleepsuit at this time of year???

eastyorksmum · 30/06/2005 18:27

Thats great KVG your end is near hugsss im gald you had an easy time with your sweep ive got another one tomoro but my MW is lovely too.

Im still having contractions had another nap feel a bit more refreshed now I can still feel a lot of movement near pubic bone I just hope our baby is engaged still MW said they can bob in and out until labour.

Ive packed sleepsuits Tessebear just a couple and vests well just have to see what weather is like when all deliver.

Good luck to us all xxxxxxx

MrsWednesday · 30/06/2005 21:54

Tessiebear, when DS2 was born the midwife put him in a sleep suit then wrapped him up in a blanket and put a hat on him - she kept saying that newborns need to be kept warm. I thought it was a bit excessive but didn't dare argue!

I reckon you'll be all right with a couple of sleepsuits and some vests, just in case it's really hot. DS1 was a September baby so I'm a bit clueless with this summer baby lark.

Hope there are lots of babies popping out tonight

mogwai · 30/06/2005 22:42

turns out my friend isn't in established labour yet...and I possibly have the very beginnings of a show

Damn I gotta beat her!!

Hello Ladies, Hope that you are all well, including new babies!

No news, felt really crampy and "periody" this morning but it soon passed and the thing that the MW did yesterday seems to have had no effect - so I am preparing myself for the next Tuesday......I'm still quite cool, calm and collected about the whole thing, but I am so scared of a c-section....trying to put it at the back of my head though, and not giving it much thought! Given up on the whole "holistic" way of thinking - clary sage, pineapple, reflexology, raspberry leaf tea, load of bloody rubbish as far as I am concerned etc etc!

Anyway ladies, thinking of you all

mogwai · 01/07/2005 01:12

having contractions every 9 minutes. In true passive birth styleee, have sent dh to bed, had a shower, put my earrings in and straightened my hair . My only concession is that I am refusing to reapply my make up. One of my friends went in all guns blazing, fully mascara'd up, ended up looking like the lead singer from KISS on her photos.

May turn out to be nothing, of course. Had given up hope of this child ever arriving, but delivery suite seemed to think my description sounded like the real thing. We'll see

Where's the emoticon for "scared" when you need it???

mogwai · 01/07/2005 01:14

by the way, I had half a pineapple at one o'clock this afternoon, a walk round Selfridges and NO relations . I've never eaten a pineapple in my life.

eastyorksmum · 01/07/2005 05:00

Morning junies wow Moq maybe your there well send you some good labour vibres.

Well couldnt sleep again its 4 53 and im up I dont know the difference between nite and day anymore.

All contractions stopped just after my bath last nite about 10 30 very strange baby is very active this morning although I havnt slept well.

Tryed relations last nite had to convince hubby it wouldnt hurt baby im up for trying anything now.

Dont know how sweep will go today but at least ill know if baby head is engaged that will put my mind at rest.

does anybody look like a walking zombie lol

what does BWT mean please?

Told my sis about mumsnet last nite and what a good website this her baby is due in November so im sure she will benefit from joining.
