I love the pub!! I had a fab night just mucking about with my friends. But too many blue wkds and a chicken kiev pizza have given me heartburn.

Wooooo pub!!!

Diege · 25/09/2009 07:07

Morning! SES, can't believe those stupid comments from your colleagues - you don't look pregnant at all!! Glad it went ok though; your boss will be fine with 3 days and is lucky to have you at all; just be careful about them trying to squeeze full time hours into those 3 days (been there, not fun).
Sounds like you had a good night KAYZ, just what you need . I'm not saying anything about heartburn
Right, better go and wake J up and feed him! Back later x

Diege · 25/09/2009 07:08

and what are these 'blue weekends' you talk about, the mind boggles

Kayzr · 25/09/2009 07:09

I've added a PG test to my tesco shop that is coming tonight. So AF will probably arrive first thing tomorrow morning.

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 25/09/2009 07:47

PMSL at Kayz Blue Weekend's.... sound's like she's had enough of the blue in every sense

Diege, no not muddled at all, think I have found the one from what you've said, here T'is more expensive than the other's I've looked at, but it leads to the Open Diploma thingymebob, and while like you've said to start my own business from it, I'd probably only need to do that very first one that was only £500 just to give me a bit of a standing, if for any reason I couldn't get a business going, at least with this course I'd have a better chance of getting a job in ID or a similar field. So big thank you's all round

STT, really sorry but I can't do FB, but it sound's like you've had some advice, and if there is anything I can do, well, you know where I am.

Ses, I am sure going back to work will get easier, it's strange but 8 years of being a SAHM has turned me into something resembling a rabid dog, I am itching to get out of the house and do something else for a few hours a day! (Saw the milkman this morning and even considered being a milkwoman for all of 2 and a half minutes! Can you get a diploma in milkman studies?! LOL)

We are off to Blackpool tonight to see the fireworks competition, so please don't let it rain, else we've said so the kids aren't let down we'll take them bowling.

Awwww Mikey is awake on the monitor going "hiya daddad" Why do my kids never say muma first? His dad's not even here, he;s at work....

Kayzr · 25/09/2009 07:51

Diege, Blue WKD lovely vodka!!

Diege · 25/09/2009 08:00

That's great LIGHTNING ; really pleased I could help and the course you've chosen looks fab
Will you do your test tomorrow KAYZ??? Agree, a sure fire way, along with the pants, to bring af on. Would you be disappointed if you weren't?

Ah I see KAYZ . I feel really out of touch

Kayzr · 25/09/2009 08:04

No I don't think I would be disappointed. We are going to have DC3 but I don't feel ready yet.

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 25/09/2009 08:38

WKD's are the white lightning/mad dog 20/20 of my teenage years! Corner shop do two of the big big bottles for £4.50, if you walk into the estate on any friday night, all the 14yo's are swigging it, and chucking it up. Blue sick is quite pretty, or at least prettier than not-blue sick

Kayzr · 25/09/2009 08:41

LOL! I love them and the red ones. I used to drink vodka and red bull but I think 1 would have killed me last night.

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 25/09/2009 08:44

See I don't like red bull, voddie is with coke/nothing

Kayzr · 25/09/2009 08:47

Vodka and coke is bleugh! It makes me sick, I can only drink it with red bull.

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 25/09/2009 08:49

I actually prefer just the vodka

I always used to have it with lemonade and blackcurrant, but, found that when you're pouring the 10th 4th, all the faffing just makes it not worth it!

Diege · 25/09/2009 08:51

Pair of alkies both of you . I have to say in my yoof it was martini and lemonade, whisky and coke (or blackcurrant)or southern comfort and lemonade (theme: so it tastes sweet!) Cider a bit thing too at uni, esp that white cider (???)Ahh yes diamind white!!!

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 25/09/2009 08:55

Oh Diege, am dissapointed, everyone always puts Southern Comfort with lemonade, it makes it all.... lemony

T'is MUCH better with coke.

In fact I remember when we moved into our little house (as it's affectionatly known) before the kids were born, we nipped into the local pub, was one of those when if a stranger walked in, everyone stopped and stared, I asked for a SC and coke, she gave me a scotch and soda, and I can not stand scotch, the smell is enough to get me going.

We didn't go in there again, can't think why not...

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 25/09/2009 08:59

We shouldn't talk alcohol this early, am now sat here at 8.58am wanting a southern comfort and coke....

I've not even had anything to eat yet.

Diege · 25/09/2009 09:01

With coke?? Really??!! But the lemony taste of the lemonade goes really well with the dolly mixture flavour of the SC...Have to say these days it's either diet coke or champange daarling

Kayzr · 25/09/2009 09:03

Southern comfort and lemonade is lovely!!

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 25/09/2009 09:08

Yes coke, lemonade makes it taste like some sort of sherbert gone wrong. Coke makes it even sweeter and easier to drink. Kind of like the difference between a deep heavy red wine and a light and crisp little white.

Champagne, I make myself buy some for special occasions and like new year's eve etc. but I actually don't like it at all. It's so salty and fizzy but kind of flat fizzy. DH always moans "What's the point in spending 25 quid on a bottle of something you'll have 2 sips out of?" He does have a point, but you do have to have champers for certain times.

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 25/09/2009 09:15

(*moan alert)

Why, do I always get sodding dandruff in September/October?

Why, is it that the only thing that stops it is Vosene?

Why, is it that I quite like the smell of Vosene in the bottle?

Why, does the smell turn into dog shampoo smell once it's on your hair?

Why, does it make my hair smell of dog shampoo, when my usual shampoo just makes it smell clean?

Why, don't they just be done with it and call it dog shampoo, because it very obviously is?

(*moan over)

Diege · 25/09/2009 09:28

Woof woof

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 25/09/2009 09:36

Thanks a bunch!

Everytime I move, I get a whiff.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 25/09/2009 09:58

I hate vosene- i get dry scalp in the winter, i use L'oreal selenium S* or something it works fantastic!! For the smell i alwasy do one shampoo in the dry scalp/dandruff shampoo and then one in my nice smelling stuff- still works as long as you leave the first on for a few mins to penetrate your scalp!!
