welcome jai 38. Always nice to welcome someone new. How are you getting on with the hot weather?

OOOOOOhh Elf, air conditioning that's what dreams are made of at the moment. When I was pg with dd I used to have our air con on at work all the time. Everyone else was freezing and used to beg me to turn it off, but it was heaven. I have to make do with a naff fan that just whooshes around warm air now, but better than nothing. I still haven't braved a bikini yet but it is sounding tempting. I think I'll have to stick warning notes through the neighbours doors telling them to avoid their gardens while I wear one though

I've also sort of put weight on around hips, bum and thighs and just feel really short and fat at the moment. Why does everyone else suddenly look so slim in all their lovely summer clothes October can't come quickly enough for me!

YOKEFLEET · 20/06/2005 20:00

welcome to jai 38.

Hi Dinosaur - yes I remember you!! Hope your well?

Hope all you ladies are cooling off now, I am very jealous about the air con.. my office at work has no air!! I think I might just go stick my head in the freezer for a moment that might do the trick!!
Why didn't we plan a winter pregnancy?????? lol

YOKEFLEET · 20/06/2005 20:02

dinosaur - will ring you tomorrow, if that's ok

Hi jai and welcome. Does it help to be by the sea in this weather, or are all the tourists making you seriously hormonally off?

I fell over in M&S today - slid in a puddle of something spilt and landed CRACK on both knees. Felt like crying, but concentrated on trying to look dignified (not easy when you're huge and hot). You feel so clumsy and so vulnerable when pregnant, don't you?

Think I have a plan of action re. my talipes/ghastly chromosomal abnormalities nightmare. Will talk to dinosaur first - and respond to lovely tamum who sent me the most brilliant information - and then get cracking.

jessicasmummy, how is my due date partner doing today?

fastasleep, how are you girl?

marinda, you around?

hester · 21/06/2005 00:02

Ooh, just seen I missed the start of a new thread! See you over there...

Blu · 27/06/2005 13:51

Just popping my head round the door of this thread to say:
Hi Hester - I'm back!
How's your action plan?

As Tamum says, I do remember that the mention of chromosoaml abnormalities was raised whe we went through this because foetal DS had talipes AND echogenic focii. We were at the Harris Birthright Trust Unit in Kings, overseen by the formidable Prof Nickolades (?), and they are widely regarded as one of the leaders of the leaders on scanning and foetal medecine...don't know if you could get a referral there?

Anyway, e mail or call - I'm back!

hester · 28/06/2005 20:11

Hi Blu, lovely to have you back - hope you had a great holiday.

Would love to talk - will ring/email tomorrow.

hester xx

Random question - but does anyone else have an aching vagina? Or that's what it feels like? Wonder if it's because my dd is 10 months old, and I'm now 26 weeks, so think my body has nearly had enough!
