That sounds good mummyhill, I hope a rest helps

I'm half tempted to get signed off for the rest of my pregnancy due to HG but that's more laziness than any real need . Only 12 more days in the office...

SprinkleofStardust · 09/07/2009 16:28

That's good news mummyhill, although sorry you're in pain.

MGC - hope things are ok and you are feeling better, try and stay calm (not that I'm sure I would be able to) just take care of yourself and LO.

Really hope Ladylush is ok, she hasn't posted for a while has she? Thinking of you lots LL xx

Hope everyone else is feeling well and/or better I feel bad for having a couple of days off work for just feeling a bit crappy, it's more my mental state that I'm struggling with than physical pain. Saw the consultant today which has helped me sort a few things out in my head.

Take care everyone, we're on the home stretch now x

MumGoneCrazy · 09/07/2009 21:20

Hiya all quick update

Had my appointment with midwife earlier bp was still a little rised but not as much so she wasnt too worried although it wasnt my normal midwife she's booked a home visit from my usual midwife tomorrow to check it again so its a wait and see situation i guess

I hope the baby stays put at least until after wednesday - ive already got my tickets to see harry potter lmao

cautiousmumtobe · 09/07/2009 21:32

MGC - good news that bp seems to be stabilising. Fingers crossed that tomorrow is good news too.

Anyone else suffering from indegestion? Any ideas on best way to deal with it other than pouring gaviscon down throat? I've only ever had it in pregnancy and it's horrid.

blue76 · 09/07/2009 21:52

Hello Cautious! Ive been suffering from a bit of indigestion - had to get up and pace the other night. Ive found that milk sometimes helps...but gaviscon seems to work best. Have you seen the mw run unit at Arrowe yet? I'm still down for a home birth - have only been to EPU at Arrowe and it's been 10 yrs since I was last pg, so I reckon a lot must have changed since then.

MumGoneCrazy · 09/07/2009 21:57

I get a lot of indigestion and acid i havent found anything that helps yet except gavison and i hate that stuff. Im often kept awake with it and have to be very careful what i eat.

audreyraines · 10/07/2009 02:37

i ate a lot of chips today at giraffe with ds - HELLO INDIGESTION!! Sorry, I've only really resorted to the gaviscon, wish I had some better tips. It does seem food related though, so maybe try to work out what triggers it for you.

StealthPolarBear · 10/07/2009 08:52

MGC, glad things are looking slightly better, sorry you have had all this stress.
Any news from ladylush?
Indigestion - I eat remedies like sweets but if I don't have any then mints tend to help slightly, even if it's just to take away the sour taste.
Raspberry leaf - I have tea which I'll probably start drinking at around 37 weeks. I had the tablets last time, not sure if I will bother again - ask me again when I'm huge and fed up! The tea is lovely, and I hate fruit tea.

Indigestion. Hell Yeah. I've had heartburn and reflux since 7 weeks, so I've tried everything. It used to be just in the evenings but since about 20 weeks it's been all day. For me, it doesn't seem to matter what I eat - I can eat breakfast one day and be fine, and the next day have the same and have horrendous reflux half an hour later. Some days it's so bad I want to throw up, and now it's turned into an almost constant tingly feeling, coupled with corresponding back ache. Gaviscon barely touches it now, but was the only thing that helped. I'm off to see the doctor this morning to see if there's anything they can give me Sorry that looks terribly moany doesn't it?

Glad the BP dropped a little bit MGC.

mumtobe23 · 10/07/2009 11:08

Morning all.

Hope your baby cooks for a while longer & good luck with the midwife appt.

Had my consultant appointment & scan yesterday. Went really well she checked everything really throuoghly and fingers crossed she looks good in there.

The hospital have my due date as the 31st August but as I've said all along thats about a week out and I'm actually due around the 4th september, so they have been measuring her a week futher then she is thats why she'd been coming up small.
The consultant has said she expects her to be around 6 or 7lbs at birth. Still have to have another scan in two weeks to check alls ok, that'll be my 7th!

Hope everyone else so coping, nearly on the hhome straight now!

MumGoneCrazy · 10/07/2009 12:00

Bp was the same today as yesterday so its calmed down for now.
Im booked for another home visit on monday hopefully bp will be the same then as well.

For indigestion have you tried peppermint tea . Dh has it at home and another tea called Digestif (possibly by twinings) which contains fennel too. I would imagine they are fine for pregnancy and they help DH with all his problems.

blue76 · 10/07/2009 16:01

Worried about Ladylush

StealthPolarBear · 10/07/2009 16:36

I was wondering where she was too Hope everything is ok if you are reading ladylush.

twinklegreen · 10/07/2009 17:38

I was wondering about her too hope everything's ok

peachygirl · 10/07/2009 20:10

Gosh you are right. Hope she is OK.

Minshu · 10/07/2009 20:53

Hope she's OK, too.

Seems that a lot of you are having a hard time. Hope things settle for you, mgc.

Nothing serious here, apart from my paranoia about just how much larger I can get in the next 10 weeks... Not feeling at my most attractive.

While lying in bed this morning I found a hard, pointy lump in my belly. After fiddling with it for a bit, I got a bit of a hoofing and it disappeared. Sorry, baby... Will try to be more gentle in future and leave the manhandling to the MWs.

One more five day working week, then phasing down to 4 then 3 days before finishing. Beginning to get tired now and very pleased to find it's Friday at last.

bratnav · 10/07/2009 21:11

Poor Ladylush, hope all is well for her and she is just too busy to post.

On a cheerier note, we have got the house we wanted and are moving in 2 weeks

Minshu · 10/07/2009 21:14

Glad to hear it. Hope the move goes well!

blinder · 10/07/2009 21:28

Hi everyone - just quickly checking in as I've been in Pembrokeshire for a lazy week. Haven't read through yet but planning to catch up tomorrow. Love to all!

LizLemon · 10/07/2009 22:38

Glad you got your house Bratnav - must be such a relief.

StealthPolarBear · 11/07/2009 08:03

Well I'm 31 weeks today and finding it hard to believe that I'll almost certainly have a newborn in 10 weeks time

Shall I try to CAT ladylush (not sure if you have to set something up to accept them). At least that way she'll get a message if she checks email as well
