Oh and is it really sad to admit that whilst on all fours with my head bent looking at the screen, I still managed to notice that the buggy of lost baby was a Quinny...

Diege · 06/05/2009 18:45

Arghh missed episode!! SES, was that buggy in same soap? Yes STAR have to admit I have always been a big neighbour's fan, and remember from years ago (when I last watched) Libby having some sort of gynae problems...Can I guess that this is an ectopic? (I don't mind spoilers, saves me watching )
Enjoy aerobics TINKS! I am looking forward to aqua aerobics next week, and also doing a new pilates dvd. Well, I say 'looking forward' but will see how I feel (having to break myself in easy to ML).
SES, just think this time tomorrow you'll know what's going on.Best of luck for tomorrow in case you don't get on x
Right, off for evening! Night all

lardybump · 06/05/2009 18:59

Ok back now and abit calmer. I am going to phone the GP every hour on the hour tomorrow until they do something as receptionist couldn't help today.....

I have to admit that I do tend to tune into neighbours if I am in.... Dont tell anyone though....

Good luck for tomorrow ses I will be thinking of you...

sorkycakey · 06/05/2009 19:29

Neighbours?!?
Begads, what's wrong with you?
How do you get time to watch bloody telly during the day ?

I'm typing this on my iPhone heehee

GYo · 06/05/2009 19:47

ooh hurray for gifts Diege.... how thoughtful! Not sure it was me who said they watch neighbours, but I did happen to see Harold leaving the other day!

All the babies did behave, even DD- who is well known for letting the side down and crying for no reason in restuarants. She slept until feed time, fed and then slept on my shoulder

LB- thats rubbish!, hope the GP can sort something out for you... Surely all kids need a fast turn around for appts... you'd think they find a way to sort it out.

Ses- LOL at you on all fours! Good luck for the scan tomorrow, do let us know how it goes as soon as you can, will be thinking of you!

Star- hows things going settling DD at night?

DH is out and so far the evening is going well. DD in bed at 7, I've showered, fed the cat, fish, had dinner and now catching up with MN whilst sipping a G&T . Having said that I am wondering whether its already too early to go to bed !

OOh Sorky, how are you finding iPhone? I love mine but need to get the latest model I think!

lardybump · 06/05/2009 20:00

stop showing off Sorky.... Fantastic hair by the way!!!

Starshinetiger · 07/05/2009 08:37

LB - right thing to keep at your GP today - 30th June is ridiculous! Do they want to wait for your DS to get seriously ill before they do anything? Am thinking of you and keeping everything crossed.

GYo - pah to evening settling - DD just seems to want to cry every evening til 10.30/11pm - cue me crying too, but hey, we have her osteopath appointment this morning, so we'll see. On the other hand, she did sleep for 3 hours after she settled last night then another 2 hours til next feed and then grizzly with wind until 6am - kind of up from then, then down for a nap at 7.30am (so awake for 1.5 hours) and will not let her sleep longer than 9am this morning - going to try an instill some kind of routine.

Right, should be having quality time with DS while she's asleep

Catch you all later.

GYo · 07/05/2009 09:16

Star- I sympathise with the crying when baby is crying thing... I've no idea how you (and the others) manage with more than one, I think you are doing brilliantly.

Ses- thinking of you this morning.

LB- how was DS last night?

where is Kayz- unusual for her not to be on...

I've just had time to file and paint my nails!!! I am definately out of the new baby haze!

Im watching baby programmes on TV.. everytime a baby is born it makes me well up... am ridiculous

OP posts:
glaskham · 07/05/2009 09:34

morning GYo and Star- sorry for crying babies, Ruby had a poo 2 days ago so has been better at nights that she had been last week... just think she's starting to get a bit cranky again, may have to give her some pure apple dilute to help her.

Ses- hope all is well at your scan today, thinking of you... hope baby is well down for you!!

Will text Kayz- see how she is and why she's AWOL!!

Ruby was weighed yesterday and since her enormous poo she'd lost a little weight and is currently 5lb 11oz, the nurse said 'well she's still gained since last week, but we'll give her a week and then consider our options'... like she did before she made me give formula!! No way am i giving any more formula!!!! stupid cow!! Though we have dropped off the centiles now... only by a little, and hopefully we'll get it back up by next week!!

Diege · 07/05/2009 09:39

Morning! Know what you mean about baby programmes GYO - never used to bother me pre-babies, but I always cry now at anything baby related . You've reminded me I must get my toe mails done - can't bend down to remove the polish so may book a pedicure and french polich at local beauty place.
STAR - good luck with oesteopath - I don't think you can go wrong by having a bit of structure, but then I am very much into routines and I know they don't suit everyone.
Good luck SES for the scan if you are out there!
Have had a few panicky moments thinking that the baby has engaged. Does seem a lot lower today, plus have been needing to wee more etc..Would be far too early at 33 weeks, esp for a 4th baby, but may just be very low down as opposed to 'engaged'! Don't think watching Chlo go into labour last night at 34 weeks on Waterloo Rd helped!
Hope everyone is ok!

glaskham · 07/05/2009 09:45

Diege- fingers crossed its just that baby has fallen a little lower on your bladder... and its not abnormal for 2nd, 3rd, 4th (...etc) babies to become engaged at 33weeks!!

I also watch the baby programmes, and always bawl my eyes out when the babies are born, so much that DS does too while he says 'see the mummy is so happy now' to me!!

Diege · 07/05/2009 09:55

Thanks Glask . Aww your ds is so cute!

NatalieJane · 07/05/2009 10:02

Arghhhh huge catch up (well if I can remember it all!)

Ses, also thinking of you, am thinking upside down thoughts! Good luck sweetie xxx Oh annnnnnd, Mikey has the same nursery range, you have exceptionally good taste I will have to post some pictures of it, I am the same as you, in love with it! I still go in there from time to time just to go and have a look!

STT, think I must have missed something re. your job? I take it you're not working there anymore? Hoping you will come back and tell us, lots of love xxx

LB, I am really sorry you're both facing all of this, can't believe the 30th June, that is just ridiculous. You give 'em hell!!

GYo, I still get all goosebumpily and lump in throat when I watch a birth on telly, even on the soaps or a film or what ever. And, if they are at the pushing stage, I find myself tensing up with them

Diege, gifts baby shower sound's great! And it was lovely of your students to do that as well So you are a lady of leisure now? Pimms on the veranda at 2pm?

That's it, I can remember nothing else I've only been gone a few days, you lot don't bloody shurrup do ya?!!

Mikey had his last injections yesterday (two weeks late with him being poorly) they weighed him, 16lb 4, is now following nicely just above the 50th centile, bit of a jump from under the 9th! And we have the "nursery nurse" ( get the feeling they are worse than HV's) coming to do the weaning talk, what a load of balls that is! Just hoping DS2 is in a chatty mood, else it's going to be SALT for him. Why can't they just leave him to do it in his own sodding time? Why does it always have to be charted and worked out in stupid books, and if he's not doing x y or z by the time they come round blah blah blah. Makes me cross grrrrr! sorry, am ranting, window cleaner here now, spose I'd best go and pay the poor lad!

NatalieJane · 07/05/2009 10:07

Sorry x posts Diege and Glask (I wasn't typing for that long, have been on phone and tidying up while I tried to remember more for the catch up!)

Glask, I'm sure next week's weigh in will bring good news

Diege, yep perfectly normal for the baby to engage now, and he may well pop back out a few times before either settling or labour starts at

glaskham · 07/05/2009 10:08

mornign Nat!! sounds like mikey is doing well on his weight gain... whereas ruby has gone down... its still pretty early days tho- she's got plenty of time to catch up!!

NatalieJane · 07/05/2009 10:19

Am going to branch out on the "have been on phone" bit, because I am in the mood for a moan now and I am cross on his behalf. My poor DH, he left here at 6.15 this morning, had a job to do in North Wales, he went to pick the parts he needs for this job up from a deposit box he uses just down the road. Parts were wrong and half of them missing, bearing in mind by now was only 6.30 he couldn't really ring his boss and see what was going on, so he decided he'd get on with another job (in Cumbria) in the meantime, so he starts off up to Cumria, it get's to 7 o'clock, he rings boss, boss says "I sent you a message saying the rest of the parts are in a deposit box in North Wales", DH didn't get a message, but in any case, the parts that were wrong would mean he couldn't finish the job, boss says he'll have to go to North Wales, fit the parts he has got, and then go back tomorrow for the other parts. It is a three hour drive from our to the job DH says boss is a plonker but that's what he's paid for, so he gets to North Wales, picks up the rest of the parts, on phone to his engineer in Sheffield, engineer says he has the parts that were wrong on his van, so now, DH is on his way back to Manchester to meet the engineer to get parts off of his van, and then is going to be trawling back to North Wales again to do the job. So he's been at work for 4 hours already, and hasn't even been to a job yet, and by the time he does it's going to be lunch time, big all day job, late home.

Told him when he get's home, I'll be the one sat in the corner rocking away with a bottle of wine! What with clearing up for nursery nurse, being spoken to like I am the child for an hour by her, then dealing with the 3 boys, making their tea, all nappies and bottles down to me, baths and beds down to me, I might swop the wine for vodka!

If anyone followed all of that, well done! Feels good to get it out!

NatalieJane · 07/05/2009 10:29

Glask, as long as she's healthy, what is there to catch up to? This is what get's my goat about DS2's speech, because he isn't doing what it says he should be doing, he's "behind" "struggling" bollocks to it. I am not saying that sometimes, some children don't need any help, but he is understanding everything, (too much sometimes!) he has his own way of telling us what he want's, and the words he does say, fair enough they aren't very clear and I doubt anyone else could understand most of them, but he's still a baby, why do they have to keep pushing them? Goodness me, I am a whinge bag today! LOL

Tink, yeah, injections were OK, he cried his heart out bless him, but three at once is a bit much! He had a tooth just about poke through, but it went by the next day, and strangely it was his top eye tooth, it's usually the bottom front two first, or sometimes the top front two, but the top eye tooth? Odd ball child!

glaskham · 07/05/2009 10:39

Nat- i know it doesn't matter so much as long as she's healthy but if i ever want these SCBU nurses off my back she's gotta be putting on lots of weight and crawling up the centiles again!! IMO she's perfectly fine, she's happy and healthy and thats what the cons said on friday... but the stupid SCBU nurses seem to think otherwise!!

glaskham · 07/05/2009 10:40

Kayz- has just replied- she's fine but DS1 keeps attacking DS2.... terrible 2's coming early me thinks!!

glaskham · 07/05/2009 10:45

right i'm off- the living room is a bomb-site, and i want some food!! tata for now.

Kayzr · 07/05/2009 11:16

Hello.

DS1 is being a nightmare, so not getting on as much as I want to!! He won't stop waking up DS2 if he falls asleep downstairs. He keeps hitting him and when I asked HV for advice all she said was "Don't let DS1 hit DS2" Well duh!! We kinda know that but it happens so fast, 1 second he is playing boo with him and the next second he smacks him.

We are now weaning DS2, it's not going to well though because he spits everything out but hopefully he'll have the hang of it soon.

idreamofbeanie · 07/05/2009 11:22

Morning,

I finally got my big work presentation out of the way yesterday so I can get back to the important things in life like mn .

Nat - poor DH, sounds like a truly crappy morning. You will both need the wine/vodka by the end of the day! Hope nursery nurse visit isn't as bad as you think it's going to be. Just ignore her as much as possible - like you say, kids do things when they need to and when they are ready. If he is happy and you are happy then what's the problem? (ps what is SALT other than something to go with pepper???)

Glask - hope Ruby piles the weight on over the next few weeks so you can wave goodbye to the SCBU nurses but glad to hear she is happy and healthy.

LB - 30th June ! That is ridiculous! Please do keep on at your GP and let him know it's not on . I'm happy to take a turn on the phone if you get bored - this kind of thing really irritates me about the NHS (my mum has had serious back and neck pain recently and is also being stuck with long waiting times to see a specialist so I'm really annoyed with the NHS just now).

Ses - good luck with the scan and hope baby is head down.

Tink - very impressed you are making it to aerobics between shopping trips.

Diege - are you now officially a lady of leisure? Enjoy!

STT - sounds like you are having a very stressful time with work . Fingers crossed it is all sorted out soon. I must have missed the details or are you not allowed to talk about it?

Hi Star, GYo, sorky and anyone else I have missed .

Well I was 19 weeks on Sunday and I am feeling great, the tiredness and nausea are still staying away thank god. I have felt a few flutters but nothing I am sure is the baby moving rather than just hunger/wind and I am just really looking forward to the first definite kicks/movement over the next few weeks. I have my 20 week scan on Monday too which I am very excited about. We are hoping to find out the sex if the bean co-operates. For some reason we (and my parents) have taken to calling the bean 'he' so I might be a bit shocked if it's a girl - not disappointed though.

I have applied for my new rental house so I am looking forward to moving now - even with just the bits my brother has given me the shoebox I live in is full and I'm falling over stuff. Once I move I think I might give in and start buying more baby bits - I'm only just restraining myself now! I keep looking at all the lovely bedding and nursery bits and saying I don't need them, just the sleeping bags, sheets and blankets I have, but they are so gorgeous and cute . Ses - I love the stuff you have and I like the barnyard stuff too. I hardly ever shop for myself and don't buy expensive bits for the house so I can indulge this once can't I?

idreamofbeanie · 07/05/2009 11:23

Oops - I knew I had missed something. Hi Kayz and sorry DS1 has hit the monstrous terrible twos!
