hello STT!!

Sparklytwinkletoes · 05/05/2009 10:19

Hey Glask, good to be reading about Ruby's weight gain... been quietly cheering you from the side lines

I feel really odd today, can't really explain it, totally lost my appetite though, I haven't eaten since about 4 yesterday afternoon, and I think I've been having a few Braxton Hicks although i don't remember them being this early last time around.

Am at home again today... all very odd

glaskham · 05/05/2009 10:24

Ta STT- i'm sure the cheering has helped!!

How far are you now? I had them early with Ruby... think it was about 14/15weeks i felt the first ones but didn't really believe they were BH's until about 19wks... i mainly got them when i was walking or doing a lot of housework etc...

Sparklytwinkletoes · 05/05/2009 10:31

I'm 18 weeks today... its just a really strange feeling, I don't think its movements, although I can't be certain that its not caused by movements. Its hard to tell if my bump is going hard as its still quite well padded !

SesIsNowCountingdownthedays · 05/05/2009 10:31

Morning!

Sorry for all the disturbed sleep. I actually managed to sleep comparatively well but my biggest struggle is getting into and out of bed. I woke up as DH went to work and couldn't move my legs v easily due to groin pain so just stuck the telly in our bedroom on and lay there!

STT - sounds like a day to take it easy for you. Chocolate brownies on the sofa?

I'm meeting an old school friend for lunch. We were best friends between the ages of about 14 and 25 and then fell out big time (over a guy ) I saw her the other week when we met up with a larger group of people and she seemed really keen to get the friendship back on track but also wanted to try and resolve what had happened and rake it all up. I'm quite happy to have some sort of friendship again but I think we'll have to agree to disagree on what happened 10 yrs ago. We're both married now and the guy we fought over, we agree at least would have been so wrong for both of us!
Anyway, will be interesting to see her today and meet her 4yr old DD and 3yr old DS.

After that I have MW this afternoon. Normally I go along without any questions but I think today I'll have loads! I want to know how the baby's lying/engaged and whether she can give me an idea of size. Anything else you can think of?!

sorkycakey · 05/05/2009 10:32

I'm not taking a buggy, Diege got you through FB.

tinkishappy · 05/05/2009 10:42

glas sorry for fake ghds
i have ordered a hello kitty clock from hong kong that is where it comes from

sorry for green poo

ses - good luck with mw

oh sparkly

Kayzr · 05/05/2009 10:51

Hello STT!!!

How are you other than the BHs?? I can't believe you are 18 weeks already!!

glaskham · 05/05/2009 10:53

STT- I couldn't feel my bump going hard either which is why i didn't believe it!! I'm well padded there too!! dont think i felt movements until about 21 weeks this time round... so i know it wasn't that!!

Ses- enjoy your lunch- your friend sounds a little set on dragging up the past, but i'm sure it'll be fine... after all you both say he was wrong for you both and that you're both happily married now... good luck!!

Sorky- I gather the slings will be the best option then... if me, you and kay are defo using slings we wont look too scary to seat!! haha!! I always feel really worried about meeting up with other parents of babies as there seem to be a million prams, and they take up loads of room!!

Kayzr · 05/05/2009 10:55

I'll have a little fold up buggy so that doesn't take up much room.

SesIsNowCountingdownthedays · 05/05/2009 11:06

STT - I'm with Kay and can't believe your 18 weeks already!

Re your meet up, I reckon that'll be the last day they leave me until they induce me. Could be quite entertaining to have me being induced whilst you're all at Betty's Hoping I don't have to wait that long though and I know you'd all like a new wagon baby sooner rather than later!

glaskham · 05/05/2009 11:06

fantastic Kayz... i'm paranoid we'll get them looks that older people give you because you're taking up space with your pram etc!! haha!!

glaskham · 05/05/2009 11:19

right i'm off, got to collect DS from nursery and pop to the bank. may get on again later, but may just fall asleep too!! haha!!

SesIsNowCountingdownthedays · 05/05/2009 11:24

Aaaarrgh! Just had my mum on the phone. Think she's just trying to show concern and getting excited about her first grandchild but she wanted to know if I wanted a lift to the MW this afternoon - kind of her but no thanks, it'll send my BP sky high!
Then she started talking about champagne for the baptism!! She's already been asking about when we'll be having the baptism (as have DH's family) and I just want to have the baby first before planning a baptism too!! She was saying how she and Dad have a few bottles of champagne that they won't drink and how many people will we be inviting?!
I'm trying to put it down to excitement on her part!

sorkycakey · 05/05/2009 11:28

Sounds like everyone is excited for you Ses
Actually what are you doing MN'ing? Aren't you meant to be havin a baby

Diege and other Wagoners I have found the birth ball!!

idreamofbeanie · 05/05/2009 11:28

Hi all, sorry I don't have time to comment on what's been going on. Crazy day at work today so I just found 5 min for a quick read through and thought I would add my self to the list.

As far as I know you can't book at Betty's but I just live 10 mins walk away so I can get there early so we don't have to queue for long. It's pretty child friendly so I don't think a few LOs/prams will worry them. I'm really looking forward to meeting you all but if I start bombarding you all with questions please tell me to shut up. I've hit that "oh my god, I have no idea how to look after a baby" stage this week .

Hi STT! Really good to hear from you. I had bh from around 20 weeks with dd2 and 3 (30 wks with dd1) and have had them I swear from about 13 weeks this time. As SES says, woulodn't harm to have a day of relaxing though!
SORKY, will check fb. Excellent news on the wagon ball
Hi IDOB! What time would you say is best for Betty's? Should we aim for when it opens?? (assuming that's not 8am )
SES, agree, be prepared for an 'offload' from your friend, but then hopefully you can forge a new friendship. Phew, your mum does sound a bit 'full on' with her plans . I'd just let her get on with thinking about baptism on her own for now, just nodding but not committing to anything I think! I envy you in a way as my mum is just not at all interested, and I am still hurtt from her being unable to come and look after dd1 when I was going into hospital to have dd2 because she had a 'lunch date' with a friend . Have thought about suggesting she might like to stay over for a week or so before my due date, but feel very nervous about asking as I know the answer!!#
Hi Tinks! How are things today?
LG&T, great to hear from you! Lol about no.8...it would be a nice even number to finish on though wouldn;t it?

Hair now done, v.pleased. My poor hairdresser has a 6 wk old baby girl and had shall we say an 'older' lady stop her in the street yesterday to say 'I hope you don't mind me saying dear but you look very young to have a baby' She's actually 24, but even if she was 16 what on earth goers through people's minds to think of saying such a thing!! Was very on her behalf!

sorkycakey · 05/05/2009 13:19

It opens at 9am, so we could meet at 10.30am if that's okay with everyone. That way we'd avoid the rush for lunchtime.
We could meet at the Minster if people aren't too sure where it is, that way the kids can run about safely too

What does everyone think? Does everyone know where it is?
